  1. Damn, its that small now? Guess it's LCM's last go around in big 4A. I guess when I was there it was as big as it would ever be. Doesn't matter, we always find ways to lose in Woodville and I always thinks we're too big to play them. Look what the team across town did to a class 3A team. Just saying. Gotta play better. Glad we didn't play Carthage.
  2. Why do we always lose at Eagle Summit? I'm sorry, were big 4A, almost 3X the number of enrollment. The eagles are probably going be fighting for the last playoff spot in their district. Tarkington is going to be a tough out. At worse, win by by a TD. Ugh, to be a Bear fan.
  3. 35-20 Final Livingston improves to 2-2. Good win on homecoming.
  4. 35-13 Q4 just starting
  5. 28-6 at the half. Were it not for a shanked Livingston punt, this is a shutout. l
  6. hopefully we can have a running clock if this keeps up. 21-0 Livingston, Q1.
  7. Non district is locked up for 2 years as well. I hope y'all continue to improve. Glad Coldspring Oakhurst is back to winning.
  8. Schedules are set for two years, notwithstanding COVID-19 and Hurricanes. Before all the craziness, we were looking at games with Dayton, Caney Creek, Tomball Concordia Lutheran, etc. We wanted to play Shepherd, but they said no. I think Livingston is going to keep trying to play up, where all possible, in non district. I'm glad Coldspring is finding it's footing again. I have fond memories of spending Saturdays playing them in Peewee.
  9. You call the science behind wearing the mask a hoax. That's why I don't care about your reasons for wearing a mask, only that you're wearing it.
  10. As long as you wear a mask, idk about your reasons.
  11. People's aversion to doing something as simple as wearing a mask so you don't infect your neighbor and so we can open society up tells me there are tons of people who take this as a hoax.
  12. The baddest man on the planet, The Rock, caught COVID and struggled with it. No one likes masks. No one like quarantine. No one likes social distancing. But if we want to have a chance to return to normalcy, let alone have a football season, wear a cotdarn mask in public. The powers that be said play ball, despite the dangers, so at this point we all got to do our part to make this is as safe a possible for all participants. That includes wearing masks. So that's what we need to do. Last week, the kids had to wear their masks on a hot bus 2 hours to the middle of nowhere, play a game in 100 degree heat, get back on the bus with masks and endure another 2 hour ride home so we can have our football. And they'll do it again this Friday, and every Friday they're able to. The players, the bands, the coaches and schools are all doing their part so old farts like us can have a season to discuss on various message boards. The only thing being asked of you is to put on a mask and you can't be bothered. If the season ends early, people like you are going to be a big reason why it's called off. Grow up. Put on a mask.
  13. I was for postponing extracurriculars so we could focus on the primary goal of schools, educating our children. Put on a mask. It's not for you, it's for your fellow citizens. it's going to be the only way to finish this season and get to a vaccine. Your views on masks are selfish and stupid.
  14. Well, it's the third school within a week that's called a timeout. And isn't Diboll considered Setxsports coverage area due to who they play? I'm not saying the sky is falling, yet. But we have a long weekend coming up and kids ain't very good at social distancing, such as the above mentioned party that may be the source of Diboll's pause. Colleges aren't doing much better either. It'll be interesting to see how this is handled when district play starts. No way all the teams in this coverage area stay COVID free.
  15. Apparently, COVID 19 is no hoax. Diboll has cancelled athletics the rest of the week. Hopefully they can keep the school open. I'm still wondering how this social distancing is going to work in a collision sport? and with the long weekend coming up, will the case numbers start going up when. we get closer to district and 5A/6A start? Based on the closed UIL thread, I'm not sure we're going to finish the season. Let's enjoy it while it lasts. Wear your masks this weekend if you're able to go.
  16. Livingston plays at Palestine. Another long road trip for the Lions.
  17. I certainly agree. If it can happen there, it can happen here. It could totally throw district play into chaos if that situation repeats itself.
  18. White Oak and Prewitt didn't play this week, not because of Laura, but because of COVID. Both teams are losing a couple of games. I'm sure they're not going to be the last. With the new TEA rule about public reporting, we're going to have the info we need to determine whether this is a good idea to play football, a collision sport where if you want to win a game, you have to disregard social distancing for 100+ plays over 3 hours.
  19. This is the right call. Why everyone else is waiting, I have no idea. I'll be there in the spring.
  20. Exactly. Go back and read what I said. You, along with other liked minded rugged individual free thinkers, not staying at home is why we're here. No one likes staying at home and quarantining. At a certain point, when are we going to sacrifice for the greater good and look out for our fellow man? I already know your answer. it never.
  21. I stayed at home. if everyone else did, we wouldn't be having this conversation now. And whether they are all together or spread out, that's too big of a cost to pay because you feel inconvenienced.
  22. That's messed up. RIP Uncle Dunc! I hope y'all all know the Heimlich manuver now so tragedy doesn't repeat itself. it also helps if you chew your food slowly instead of scarfing it down. Really, what is so bad about waiting? What's the downside? if we start as we plan on now, we are not finishing the season. no way all our teams are staying covid free.
  23. Glad your family is ok. You know that 3 percent of our population is 10 million people? That's everyone in greater Houston, Beaumont and all of Louisiana, gone. We shouldn't be good with that. I'm not.
  24. can't work if you're dead.
  25. if you're talking about that lady who say sex with demons is bad, I'm with you.
