Beaumont Central 97 Livingston 45/FINAL

97 45 central final. I like Central's squad. They should have scored at least 120. -

77 36 central 3Q I don't usually complain about refs but this crew is terrible. Central didn't need help tonight. I'd just like them to call fouls on both ends. -

39 19 Central end Q2. The trap was key in the quarter. -

Silsbee vs Hardin Jefferson
Lions Pride 2021 replied to BADSANTA's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Silsbee by 8. It would have been intresting if they were in the same district. Hopefully the UIL fixes that next month. -
Maybe HJ was just that good. I was in the area and wanted to see a good game. No. 2 for HJ was lights out. Had to have about 35 36 points. The shot at the end even had LCM fans going crazy. Silsbee has played up in class and I give the the benefit of the doubt in the loss to center after an 2 hour ride on a yellow dog in the middle of the week. The difference in tip tier 6A and 5A is way beyond what average 4A ball. Silsbee rolls at least until they get to Huntsville.

Livingston 41 Vidor 70/FINAL

Wasn't a close game Visor executed. I don't know what Livingston was doing. I'd just like to see a fight for the fourth playoff spot. Maybe PNG and Visor scare Nederland this year. -
Livingston 41 Lufkin 66/FINAL
Lions Pride 2021 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball
That's a closer score than I thought it would be. Couldn't make it tonight. Maybe Lufkin is not as good as I thought. Or they played the bench the whole second half. -
Beaumont Central 58 Nederland 35/FINAL
Lions Pride 2021 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Yup. Nederland hold on the 4 spot depends on them taking care of business against the second tier and the basement. -

That may be enough to make the playoffs. I saw Hefner last year good kid. Once he grows into his body he'll be dangerous. -
Beaumont Central 58 Nederland 35/FINAL
Lions Pride 2021 replied to WOSgrad's topic in High School Boys Basketball
Those are good points. I think PA is going to lose a game. There are 14 district games and they're bound to have an off night. Who they lose to I don't know. If Central can space the floor and keep people chasing the ball they could be the team. Congrats to the Jags! -

72-51 PNG. Good luck until we meet again. -
Beaumont Ozen 53 Lumberton 48/FINAL

Are the injuries serious? I seen Lumberton a few times at tournaments solid team that doest back down. That's a good win. -

Wow. I thought Nederland would have put up a fight. Is central better than we thought? -

58-34 PNG at the end of 3. I'm going out on a limb and guess the Indians win this one. Who do y'all play this weekend? Livingston is headed north to Lufkin. -

33-15 PNG at the half. Pace has slowed a bit. Indians firmly in control. -

21-8 Port Neches-Groves. Nice outside shooting for the Indians. -

Nederland has won some tournaments this year. There's something to be said about learning to win in difficult circumstances. I think Central wins it but if they're a jump shooting team like Soulja says and the Jags are a little off Nederland can keep it close. This game by far will be the best game of the lot today. Ozen and Memorial win easy tonight while only parents are watching Livingston v PNG (aka scalpers night off). -
I've been to both and I got what I wanted out of each visit a good away to watch the game. Actually it was easier to get a good seat at NRG. Sorry you had a bad experience at NRG but its a very good spot for all the events it holds including what it was built for. Football. Might I ask. What was so bad? If the stadium up north didn't have a star on it I'm not so sure everyone would be so awed by it. I've been to plenty of NFL stadiums. They're all the same once you take a seat.

That's great. I hope they find a way to keep central. Y'all got the hand me downs when South Park took over BISD. A new school would be great for Central's kids, without Ozen. Ozen has nice facilities now. Nederland has played well. Do they stay within 10 with the Jags? Its the only competitive game on the slate Tuesday. -

Is your gym in good shape? I know the school took a hit but the gym ain't the main building. I always enjoyed watching Ozen, West Brook, TJ, and Lincoln visit. Always a full house. -
This is probably the most top heavy 5A district in the state for four great to good programs and four also rans. The playoff teams have to be: 1 Port Arthur 2 Central 3 Ozen 3A Nederland Central may be the team that gives Memorial the most trouble but they have a tough opener against Nederland. Its going to be a fun couple of months. Hopefully the district can get by Fort Bend so we can all go to the Alamodome in '18. Let's stay healthy and ball out!
