I remember playing against Levi and Logan Moore, Blake Buxton and RJ Hester. Those games were slobber knockers! We went 3-1 vs D-Ville during my time, but you always left the D-Ville games limping, hurting and bruised up, those boys were corn fed and tough. Trying to tackle Levi Moore was exhausting, boy was a bruiser! I think the ole small, under sized HD Bobcats may surprise some folks tonight...

HD has been known over the years for beating bigger schools in pre-season. When I played in the 90's, we beat Barbers Hill, Anahauc and Hardin Jefferson, so not all the wins came vs weak teams.

Really "awful" is a strong word, so playing with Alto toe to toe in back to back seasons, in the 2nd round of playoffs is "awful"? That was only 2013 and 2014, pretty darn good Alto teams that went deep in playoffs. We lost to Alto both years by like 6 points total... Not great or good to lose to anyone in the playoffs, but "awful" doesn't come to mind... You are just another butt hurt HD victim from the past. Go hit up your tennis forum.

What do you base your calling HD bad off of...? A loss to a larger 3A school Kountze, when HD is a 2A, with 4 starters out on both sides of the ball. HD is won of the winningest programs historically in the State, ask WOSgrad. HD has won about 63% of its games. You are ignorant apparently, which means you just didn't know you were making yourself look uneducated. Warren, Hardin, West Hardin, Huntington etc, are all teams with winning percentages below 40% all-time, for you slow people, these teams listed above are some of the worst programs ever in the State. Tiger, HD is not one of them, no matter who they have played or have not played...

I disagree, at times, especially in the 4th quarter, HD's line has done well run blocking. I do think our strong side of the O-line, would be way better pairing #75, #55 and #99, no way in our district those 3 could not get movement and surge...

I agree with you to an extent. You can't tell me you have never watched a football game as a fanatic, and said why are they not running this or that...? Whether it's out loud or you think it to yourself? I believe competitive passionate people challenge others, whether it's their profession or not. I myself believe in praising the Coaches on great decisions, and sometimes when needed, voice my opinion on poor decisions. It's ok to be a fan and be vocal and passionate, it's ok to not say anything. But I have worked and played around some of the most talented people in America, whether it's Directors/ Managers at my refinery, football Coaches, military/police or truck drivers, the one thing that stands out, is these talented and competitive folks will praise you on successful decisions, but give constructive criticism when you stumble. There is a right way to say things, it's not what you say, but how you say it. 90% of all true fans will voice their opinion, half of them will be respectful with their words. I truly believe most of us fans on here, are simply wishing the Coaches would call things we have seen work, kinda like winning the loto. It's not really attacking them, or saying their incompetent, it's simply being a fan... If you are a true football fan, that has never voiced your opinion on play calling or roster/position calls, I call malarkey lol.

Was joking guys, I apologize.

This was a PG rated joke, please tell me your not a safe spacer...lol

I wouldn't say barely HD was up by 3TD's,rivalry games are usually close, no surprise... 24-6, then WH got a garbage time TD vs JV kids.
-
Yes. I know he had over at least 10 tackles and a sack.
-
K-Ville is way down this year, Kountze has some fast athletes and decent size. Kountze 28 K-Ville 20
-
Warren is one of the worst teams in SETX this year. Hardin will get its last win of the season vs this school of the deaf and blind. Hardin 42 Sunny Delight 12
-
Hemphill surprisingly has some play makers at the skill positions. The QB looks like RG3 in college and the RB is built like Jerome Bettis. Totally different looking team from the last few seasons. Hemphill 32 Evadale 20

HD had four 2-way starters out vs Kountze. Strategic move by the Coaches. The Bye week hopefully helped, although it's been confirmed one of the four is out for D-Ville. If HD runs the ball like they did in both previous game's 4th quarter, and gets the TE involved in the passing game, maybe a TE dump pass, HD wins. HD 20 D-Ville 18

Homecoming for the HD Bobcats. The bye week hopefully gave HD's injured players time to heal. Who y'all got in this game? Any opinions on D-Ville? I hear they have a good young team, they fought hard vs Evadale.

Apparently a crap ton lol. -
Waterboy called it...
-
HD Nation! Upset time! Who needs starters lol. Sticking with my prediction HD 22 Kountze 21.
-
Lmao!

Never thought I'd say this, but ole waterboy9000 may come out looking like the Swami... HD now has four 2-way starters not playing on both sides of the ball vs Kountze. All four starters are injured, looks like the Coaches want to take advantage of the bye week coming up to get them healthy. Actually a smart move. HD will be taking on Kountze with some moved up JV kids. Not making excuses, HD would have had to played a dang near perfect game, with its starters to pull off the upset. Let's just say the Kountze Coach is breathing easier this morning. I'm not giving up on my Bobcats praying for a miracle. Go Cats!

Top High School Football teams of all time

1956 Abilene...? You have to admit, 6 points all year is amazing. Don't matter the year. That team may be the best 4 year Dynasty ever. Can any of these teams listed on the link, say they set a National Record? If you are a High School football fan, the 1936 HD team's story was very impressive. -
Not true, I think a couple of us have admitted Kountze should be picked to win, go back and look... You sound like HD has wronged or offended you in the past, we apologize for any butt whoopings we gave you, please don't take our statues down... lol.

The 1936 Hull-Daisetta Bobcats, who at the time, set the "National Record" with 43 straight consecutive victories without a loss. HD didn't lose a game during the seasons of 1936, 37, 38 and in 39, they finally lost the last game of the year vs Humble, the streak was broken at 43 wins in 44 games. So HD won 3 Titles in a row, during their "National Record" setting campaign. During the season of 1936, HD's defense shutout every team it faced, but one, giving up just 6 points to Beaumont French in the playoffs... The Bobcats arguably had one of the best defenses of all-time. Think about a team these days winning a Title and only giving up 6 points all year. The list of teams HD shut out will surprise you, teams like PNG, Dayton and Barbers Hill. The Bobcats only gave up 32 points all season in 1937, in 1938 they gave up 63 points, in 1939 they gave up 59 points total. What a dominate example of a defensive dynasty. If the 1956 Abilene team can be recognized on this list, there is no doubt this "National" record setting Hull-Daisetta Bobcat team should be on the list. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] -
Lol, really, because we picked our team to win by 30... SMH. I'd say that would be the definition of full of themselves.
