2012-2013 Sabine Pass Basketball Predictions?
H-D BOBCAT 55 replied to BlakeGriffinJr's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
HD is gonna shock folks just like in football this season. With both move in players Darrell Lavalais from Baytown and Aaron Mosley from Liberty, HD will be a force in District. Both young men dominated in a bigger classification. Also HD's Kyle Hopkins was a move in from Liberty late last year. Hopkins and Mosley both are 6'4. HD's starting team in my opinion will be Mosley(6'4), Hopkins(6'4), Darrell Lavalais,Chris Herman, and Austin Edmondson. Not sure about positions or offense that will be ran. HD may just win district. -

I have no clue. I know Edmondson and Welch were all district as freshmen and they are now juniors. Darrell Lavalais is probably the best athlete in the school but I don't even know if he plays basketball. Same with his brother Ken who is 6'2". We also have sophmore Kyle Hopkins that's about 6'4" and Aaron Mosely who's a rangy 6'4" player. Could HD's basketball team make a big statement this season?
Better question, why did HD cancel their game with Legacy last night?
I did hear basketball was put on hold because of the football playoffs. My son is playing 7th grade basketball, they had to cancel games also due to Coaches being tied up with football. Tonight is his first game in Colmesneil. HD's varsity has a talented team and should be a force in District. Both starting post players are 6'4, Hopkins and Mosley.
H-D wont do anything in district there guard play is too weak you have to have a guard to get them the ball duhh a press would kill h-d unless they big men can dribble which i doubt last yr every gaurd combo in district average almost 40= :/
We will see. You a hater just like during football season. lol. Darrell Lavalais and Austin Edmundson will handle the ball. ;) Do your home work, Lavalais and Mosley gonna rip this District up. ;D -

Liberty's Deel Resigns under pressure
H-D BOBCAT 55 replied to Texasminuteman's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
With the addition of Aaron Mosley at WR, Huckaby will be moved to QB and Austin moves to RB. Huckaby has a cannon arm and Mosley is an awesome wr. Makes the team better and tougher to defend against. -

First off, congrats on the win Alto. Once again Alto showed they know how to win playoff games. Good luck Alto in your quest for a 3rd State Championship. To my HD Bobcats, I love the heart and fight you all showed. Our program is headed in the right direction and soon HD will get a 2nd State Championship. To all the Seniors on the team, it was an honor to watch you guys grow up and play on Friday nights. HD has all the skill position players and most of the team coming back next season. HD Nation will be back soon!! Bobcats fight and never die. Alto go win it all. -
10-4
Ok, H-D BOBCAT 55: I'm here to extoll the mighty Bobcats of Hull-Daisetta. You and I (Tigersvoice) got into a scrape earlier in the year because I thought your mouth was too big. Well, I still think that but I have a CHANGED opinion of the H-D Bobcats. Those boys can play! There is a smattering of good talent all around the squad but it is multiplied by the coaching that they are getting. Good coaching can exaggerate the talent on any team and H-D is blessed with that scenario now. Congratulations on the success this far in the 2012 season - "Git 'er done" guys. ;D
I'm just an ole HD Bobcat that loves his school and team. Thanks for the extollment. lol. I do have a big mouth. ;D GO BOBCATS!

Alto lost to a 5-5 2A-DII school, and an 8-2 1A school. HD lost two games to 5-5 2A schools (one DI/one DII) and one loss to an 8-2 2A school.
Can't wait. This should be a great game!!
A little different watching a game at 2pm. Friday night lights are hard to beat. Hoping the Bobcats come out hyped up. We have to hit them in the mouth early on. -
Congrats on the 1st RD victory Alto. We all know most people will pick Alto to beat HD. Alto has earned that respect, one of the winningest football programs in Texas. Alto is no doubt a beast of a team. This Hull-Daisetta team has lots of size and talent. Coach Finney has came in and rekindled the pride and tradition of old. These HD players believe they can win any game, Coach Finney has their minds right. Yes, to win this game we will have to be flawless in our execution and play our best 2nd half of the season. Alto may be the best 2nd half team in the State. HD will have to smother the Alto fire they always ignite in the 2nd half. Some trick plays in the 2nd half and NOT letting our foot off of the accelerator. Darrell Lavalais will have more than 5 carries this game. HD has the hogs up front and big RB's to pound Alto and dominate the time of possession. Chris Herman and Darrell Lavalais will be ready to pound. Alto seems to start slow and HD has been starting fast. This game will be exciting to watch. I would love to hear the half time speech Coach Finney gives. It will be critical for HD to come out swinging in 2nd half. GO BOBCATS!! Hull-Daisetta 24 Alto 21 Dustin Welch wins game with field goal.
