Every game and every snap them Bobcats are getting better. Finney/Huckaby ball is here, the HD pride and tradition is back. H-D NATION will bring the fight to your team!! As a whole we looked sharp and hard nosed, some players that shined were Dustin Welch, Darrell Lavalais, Austin Edmondson, Tyler Drake and the whole offensive line. I would love to see Garrett Hickman run the ball more and Huckaby to get moved to backup QB. Never know. Chris Herman is a great player and athlete, he is powerful, he should be in the trenches. Huckaby was a beast on defense. Please keep Brice McClutsky in your players, I did hear he was going to be ok. H-D NATION!  8) [/quote] Don't get ahead of yourself yet. [/quote]This is the most talented H-D team in a while, depth wise. Finney has the ability to sub his players at all times and not have a big drop off in talent. HD teams of the past had terrible 2nd string players. Athletes everywhere with size.

If 1A H-D is able to go 2-0 vs two 2A teams, that is pretty good. Beating bigger schools is a good thing. It's funny to me when people tell you all week you are gonna get beat, then you win and they say well you didn't beat nobody good. lol. I believe this game will be close, Kountze has a ton of speed and HD has a well oiled disciplined team unit. I believe turnovers will decide the game. I really enjoyed watching the swarming team defense of the Bobcats last week. Book ends Ken Lavalais and Kyle Hopkins are huge and strong at 6'3 230lbs and 6'3 250lbs. Darrell Lavalais and Tyler Drake are both head hunters at linebacker. Hill and Welch both are hawks in the secondary. Big Chris Taylor at 6'0 280lbs and Thomas Stanley 6'0 250lbs are beast on the line. H-D has some strong and powerful players. The offensive line fires off the line and opens good holes. Our speed may not be the fastest, but our players are disciplined and take aggressive good angles to the ball. Friday night will be fun to watch, I pray both teams stay healthy. Go Bobcats!

We may not be faster or stronger than some teams, but we will play will discipline, chemistry and timing. Finney runs a tight ship, I have never seen or met a highschool football Coach like him. These HD players worship him and have bought into the HD Nation Program. Hardin tried real hard to intimidate HD before the game and during the game. Before Hardin knew it, HD was up 23-6. Finney had his players focused and their mind right. Gonna be Tragic if Kountze has no respect for HD.

Can't wait for this over 40 year rivalry to kickoff tonight. Stands are gonna be full on both sides. Bragging rights on the line! These towns are just a few miles apart. Seen Coach Finney and the team, they are fired up big time! Gonna be an emotional hard hitting game. Only better game to watch is the West Hardin vs HD game, if your a Bobcat fan. I remember going up against Ole Cheesy from Hardin every year from 7th -12th grades. Good memories! H-D!!!!!!
