1.
Ol' Dave is far from an expert.  He's been wrong many times before.
He may have hit a home run this time. West Hardin, Colmesneil and Iola are tough. ;)
 2. Dave Campbell has Hull-Daisetta picked dead last. So Colmesneil, West Hardin and Iola can fight it out for District Champion. Maybe in a few years under Finney our program will improve. We did lose Marberry our best player. West Hardin did kill us 57-20. Don't look good for us. Damn reality. ;)
 3.
Tigersvoice...Coach Brown is coaching at OZEN. I don't see how Bobcat 55 having fond memories of his coach has anything to do with hyping the 2012 H-D football team. Either your reading comprehension skills are at pre-school level or you are just a miserable person. Good luck to Coach Brown and his son( hopefully a future Ag) this season.
LOL! Good post. Tigervoice I will make the call on how and when I talk about my team.

I see every game on the schedule this season as a winnable game.
I got your words marked, cause if HD wins district, that means they get a bye then all likely hood play the #2 seed out of district 10 , which will either be Alto or San Augustine.
Might not end so well for Alto. H-D is back!

He is very passionate and extremely knowledgable. I remember the stories he would tell of covering WR's like Tim Brown, when he was a CB at Texas Tech. I also remember Coach Brown pulling me to the side, in between classes and handing me the newly released book "Friday Night Lights", he said you have got to read this big dog.  :) Those memories of my football days are so awesome.  :)
Well, now - that's all nice and cozy but I doubt that there was a huge success story in covering Tim Brown. But don't underestimate those Hull-Whoever stories.
Tiger, just wondering how bad H-D whipped yall when you played. You always jump at the chance to talk smack about the H-D Bobcats. I apologize for the wood shed beatings.  ;) ;D Please don't tell me you played for West Sabine, we destroyed Juan Mason and Shane Moses!! lol
Waaaay back in my day, we got beat BAD and OFTEN - but it wasn't by the H-D Bobcats.  I'm from a little Class A district 60 miles west of Houston.  We were in the Southeast corner of our district and traveled to places like Bastrop, Giddings, Luling and Smithville.  Weimer and Hallettsville were close-travel games for us.  Games then started at 8 PM because of the travel time involved.  Which really made your Saturday job a hard thing to face after you had been beated by 40 points in Luling and rode that bus for 3 hours coming home after that game.  Ahhh, the good ol' days.
Then why all the poking at H-D? You have to have some kind of connection. ???
 6. Just wondering Lumberton's all-time record and if they have ever won district in football?

 8. DUH! We got 900 people! I hope not! lol
 9. WOW! DC picked yall to win District. lol
 10. What a joke, H-D beat Colmesneil 70-14 last year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 11.
West Hardin takes this district this year.....HD needs some reloading time after the past few years......
LOL! Don't forget H-D beat yall 70-14. H-D is 40-9 all-time versus WH. History and Finney says Bobcat victory this season. Also don't forget an ex H-D Bobcat Coach named Jason Henry, left H-D and went to WH last year, think that helped WH a little. New Coach for WH this year too. [Hidden Content]
 12.

West Hardin takes this district this year.....HD needs some reloading time after the past few years......
Last year was HD's rebuilding year. Everyone knew that HD was going to have a young team and WH was going to have one of their better teams in recent years, and WH proved that by putting a good whoopin' on HD. HD did have a bad year. 4-6 is nothing to toot your horn about, but we knew it was coming. We had kids playing out of position, kids not playing that should have been, not playing disciplined football, and the kids felt like Coach Slack had given up on them, so they did the same. This team still beat district foe Colmesneil 70-14. This team still was up 13-0 in the first half on 11-2 regional finalist Lovelady, before turnovers did them in. The same Lovelady team that beat WH by 50. For those of you who don't remember, even through the "down" years in Coach Slack's tenure, HD still won the previous 4 seasons in a row vs. WH until 2011. So why does the worst one bad year with a young team at HD compared to a very good season with a veteran team at WH equal WH running through HD this year. Since 1990 WH has won TWICE as many games vs. HD than they did in the previous 30 years. Even with that, HD is 16-6 vs. WH since then. Look at my posts on here for the last 6 years. Rarely do I crawfish when I'm wrong, or gloat when I'm right, but this time I'm saying it with everything I've got.... HD will surprise everyone this year. Those of you saying 3-7 or 4-6 will see when HD is winning week in week out this fall.
Well said.
 13.
Yeah, that was back when 21 year old roughnecks still suited up and played for HD.  Or so i've been told.
Heck that was the case everywhere. Sour Lake, Liberty, Dayton, Nederland and Beaumont French for sure. Don't try to take away from an amazing 4 years. Remember the Beaumont area was the spindletop. No regulations, so i'm sure there was a few kids older than 18 on many teams.
 14.
Not NO, but ---- NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are living in a dream world 55, and you and your beloved bobcats will get a reality check very soon...
So by believing my team can win versus notoriously bad teams like WH, Colmesneil and Iola is living in a dream world? Are you kidding me! lol. Blind dog found a huge bone last season, won't happen again for a while. Can't wait!  ;)
 15.
Not NO, but ---- NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are living in a dream world 55, and you and your beloved bobcats will get a reality check very soon...
lmao! Beat us one time and now yall are the Giants. lol
 16.
You guys need to go watch film... Huffman throws the ball down the field more than most teams in 3A that run the spread... Liberty makes a living on a 5 yard out. Townley had a stronger arm than Fitz, but just because Fitz is 6'5" he's a better 'prospect!' Speaking of QB's, has anyone seen how much better the Cleveland kid has gotten? Speaking of Fitz is a dead point, he's gone... BUILT in EXCUSE for Liberty!!!
Helps to be throwing to ex Hull-Daisetta Bobcats Cole and Chase Harrell. Great players!
 17. In my opinion Yes. Coach Finney has completely changed the culture and rekindled a fire in H-D. The number of football players may very well double. Last season we had 28 players. He is almost magical with his players, never seen anything like it. Go Bobcats!!!

 19. Good post. I had posted this a few years back.
 20. I had a teammate when I played that could have left H-D for a bigger school. He and his family thought hard about the move for more exposure. In the end, he stayed in H-D to be with his teammates and make more memories with his teammates. He and his family were smart enough to see that was important. I recently asked him if he regreted the decision. He said no, he did not regret the decision. He told me the memories he made in 6 years of football with his teamates were priceless. Only Daniel Fitzwater and his family will know if they have made a mistake. Also let's remember it takes a team to be successful, not one player. Good luck Liberty, keep your heads up.
 21. Just kidding. lmao! That could be a great fit.  ;) ;D
 22. Daniel Fitzwater will dominate the competition in 1A. The Hull-Daisetta Bobcats welcome Daniel Fitzwater. Coach Finney will put him to good use.
 23. If Hardin got a big screen scoreboard, they would have one of the best facilities in SETX. Their turf field is awesome!
