Fumbles are causes by lack of discipline. HD has some great athletes and "should" win many games. They just need to become a team and have better discipline. I will always root for them to win and hope they have a great season. How are you 55.
I'm blessed. You? I agree execution and discipline. -
Hull-Daisetta vs. Kountze Game Thread/Kountze wins!
H-D BOBCAT 55 replied to WOSgrad's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Congrats on the win Kountze. Man... Kountze has some fast RB's and some big lineman. The game was close most of the night, until the 4th quarter. I think H-D gave up in the 4th quarter. Once again H-D could not hold on to the ball. 6 fumbles for H-D !! What does it take to NOT fumble !! If not for the fumbles, the score would have remained close in the 4th quarter. H-D will do well this season, just got to quit fumbling the ball. -
Hey 55, did you catch the West Hardin preview in the hardin county news? You need to read it. I know the Bobcats do not extra motivation for that game, but this would make great locker room material.
No sir. I will try to find it and check out. Thanks. You said preview, you mean tailgate channel 6 preview? -
I think Kountze takes this one too. I attended the HD v Hardin scrimmage and I am not impressed with the Bobcats. O and D both look sluggish. Hope to see more Friday night.
Did you noticed the turnover mistakes and penalties? Bobcats gave that one away. -
Well... I was at the Hardin vs H-D game, and if H-D plays just an average game, they would have had a chance to beat Hardin. I seen a 1A team (H-D) push Hardin around in the trenches. Although Hardin picked H-D apart in the air. Hardin is small and Liberty is gonna be bigger and more physical than H-D was. If Liberty runs at Hardin, the Hornets will have a long night. Also Liberty better have a better secondary scheme than H-D had. Hardin has a great passing attack and will connect with#84 and #9. Hardin's defense will be tested by Liberty. Again I say: Liberty 42 Hardin 21
1st time they played each other???? Where have you been? Were you not around in the decade of the 1990's when these two teams were in the same district year in and year out.
Yep and Hardin never ever made the playoffs. Hardin has one of the lowest winning percentages in the State of Texas since the start of their football program.
This same HD Bobcat 55 stated the Panthers would not make the playoffs last year, and would finish no better than 3 wins. Then, I under a different alias stated the Panthers would go to the Playoffs and would finish 5-5. Hmmm.......I wonder how the Panthers faired last year? I do not MISS on anything I predict. Like I said, panthers may even win but it will NOT be by blowout fashion. I played for Hardin, many years ago. 2000-2002 ( 3 consecutive playoff appearances)
Hey Pal, I have never used a different name on here. H-D Bobcat 55 has always been my name on here. Also I never said Liberty would make the playoffs. Quit your story telling Tard. lmao !!

Well... H-D coached and played a terrible game last week vs Hardin. But... life moves on, we are human and it was a scrimmage. I do feel like the Bobcats have a team full of good coaches, athletes and can make the playoffs again. My cousin has moved back to Daisetta from Hardin to play for the Bobcats. He played a great game vs H-D last week, laying the wood on folks, big hitter #44. He will start both ways eventually IMO. I believe H-D can beat Kountze if we quit fumbling the ball and our secondary is coached up on the basics of covering wr's. HANDS UP AND KNOCK BALL DOWN !! H-D 20 Kountze 13

District 11-1A: How will it play out?
H-D BOBCAT 55 replied to pinelandflash's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Here are my predictions: 1) West Sabine - Seem to be the early favorite to win District this year, should be a strong team 2) West Hardin - Much improved team with more balance and speed, should get into the playoffs this year 3) Lovelady - Last years game was 47-13 in favor of the Lions, with improved team West Hardin could beat Lovelady this year 4) Hull-Daisetta - Basing this off of Scrimmages and the information being posted, could be a tough year for the Bobcats 5) Colmesneil - Hopefully the Bulldogs have improved from last year, but not sure if any of their younger guys can make the difference yet
Don't believe the hype. Gave the game to Hardin. WH can't stop H-D. -
I believe Liberty wins this one by 3 scores. Hardin has a good passing attack that picked H-D apart. The offensive scheme that Haynes runs is awesome. Hardin will score on Liberty via the air a few times. Problem is... Hardin is very small and young, also the Hornet defense can't stop the run. Liberty will have size in the trenches over Hardin. Neither teams are any good, neither makes the playoffs this year. But... Liberty wins this game 42-21. If they run at Hardin?

It was a good scrimmage, but if they're running 4 wide and only running the ball 5% of the game then adjust! Don't have you LB's 2 yards off the ball. But on the fumble at the goalline....the runner was not down and ball was clearly stripped, we watched it straight on from the side
Uh oh.....a Bobcat steps up to take on HDBobcat55. This cannot end well.
We are family and our family member is #44 on Hardin's team. The player with the pancake blocks and big hits lead blocking for the Hardin QB. Well... his regular real number is 12.
I didn't see "blown coverages", I seen a stupid defensive package against a throwing team! Manned up on the outside with no safety, which is easy to go down field on and across the middle. Hardin's coaches just took what they were given
Easy killer... I was referring to the first Hardin TD pass, right after HD fumbled the opening snap. If you recall the Hardin WR ran down the middle wide open with no one guarding him. Coach Slack yelled at Drake, saying what where you doing, that was your man. Hardin 6-0. H-D gave Hardin the game with mistakes. H-D was dominating on the offensive line and when the 80 yard TD gallop was called back it crushed H-D's momentum. Refs did not help either. Clipping on an 80 yard TD run by Marberry and a phantom strip of the ball on the 1 inch line, when the RB was on a knee. Hardin won and had a great passing attack. Congrats. Also Hardin was running 4 wr sets all game, H-D was playing man to man, most of the time your not gonna have a safety playing center field with those sets. Not in small school football.
55 you forgot Kam Holder, Jason Elder, Justin Fregia all went to McMurry in 2001. Dusty Evans could have went the next year to McMurry Univerisity but choose not to.
These players mentioned just proves my point even more. Truth of the matter is, if you make good grades and are a serious worker in the weight room, you can play college football. Maybe not D-1, but you can play at an Eastern Alaska St or Western Daisetta St. There just is not that many of those kids out there. Those guys you mentioned were just average ball players with heart, one of the guys you mentioned didn't even start for H-D and still played college football. lol. Point proven again.
