I was very impressed today with the size and conditioning of the players today. Bobcats will enter into their 3rd year running the Wing T offense. Chisum Marberry, Tyler Drake, Austin Edmondson and Garrett Hickman should flourish in the Wing T this season. New junior tailback Tyrone Braxton looked real fast !! -

Toughest Rivalries In South East Texas
The WS/Hemphill game isn't dubbed "The Sabine County Super Bowl" for nothing(it's also known as the Pine Cone Bowl)! It's similar to HD/WH I guess, mainly because I've never been to an HD/WH game. It says our stadium in Pineland can hold 1,000 people, and at last years game there were people having to stand on the track surrounding the field. There was easily 2,000 people there, and while it may not compare to larger school's rivalries there may be more people per capita at one these games than at larger schools. Does the HD/WH game have a trophy like ours does (a silver pine cone sits atop it!)? Just curious.............
Only trophies we have are the teeth and blood of each other !! We have hated each other since the 50's !! -
Toughest Rivalries In South East Texas

LOL. It was a figure of speech, I should have said both communities in two different counties shut down for this one. lol. Remember that kids from many different towns go to these two schools. Take Hull-Daisetta for instance, kids from Raywood, Ames and Devers go to H-D. That makes up a good portion of Liberty County. West Hardin is in Hardin County and gets kids from Batson, Thicket and HoneyIsland. So yes alot of towns in two different counties shut down on friday night for this game. Dayton fan is mad because H-D is the only team in Liberty County to win a State Championship. Many championships if you count the old championships we won, when you could only advance to Regional. -

This is a most heated event two small schools. I think for most of the kids on Varsity this started in Pee Wee League.
LOL. Most heated small school rivalry hands down is Hull-Daisetta vs West Hardin !! Two whole counties shut down for this one. Liberty-Hardin counties. Been going on since the 50's !! 4 miles apart !! Man it's awesome !! -

Allowed 6 points all year. Won their State Championship back then. -
All I have to say is when you play West Sabine you had better buckle your chinstraps tight cause they got some heavy hitters! Sure it will be a great, hard-hitting game not for the faint of heart!!!!!!
I agree. WS has a tough team. Looking forward to it. I played against Juan Mason and Shane Moses when my Bobcat team played WS. Great players.

Ozen's Tony Brown shines at LSU camp

His dad Tony Brown Sr. was a shutdown corner for Texas Tech and my football coach at Hull-Daisetta for 4 years. What a great family and I am happy the kid has structure and support. -
So looking forward to the start of football !! H-D should have a good season. Lots of good athletes coming back. Chisholm Marberry, Tyler Drake, Austin Edmondson, Coy Melonson and Jimmy Barton are gonna be key players for the Bobcats. Freshman Dylan Luce has good size at 6'3 200lbs and could contribute during district.

H-D will continue to be a great program in all sports, especially football. Good luck Evadale on being good for over 70 years like H-D !
I think that part of the reason HD is so average now is because the kids think exactly the way you do. Last season.....HD went 5-5. Got 3rd in district. Then got smoked 1st round. Even with the almighty Gilmore and Drak and whoever else you said were gonna "dominate" the field. In fact. [glow=red,2,300]I bet if you look at the school over the history....the football team is probably closer to .500 than you think. AVERAGE!![/glow]On a second note. You actually have to put in time and effort...then get results to be considered a powerhouse program. You have to do more than just put on a uniform with a Bobcat on it to win games. When's the last time HD won a playoff game in football. When's the last time they've won a playoff game on the boy's side period? Yeah I know they've been at the top of a very weak district a number of times.....but who cares. You need to let go of the past man. Did you even play when you were in school? I bet you "could've been a division 1 player but the coach didn't like you" haha
ALL-TIME WINS: CLASS 1A Place School District Wins 1. Mart 22-1A 634 2. Albany 12-1A 549 3.
