When was the last time HD beat Kountze?
Kountze has won the last two meetings. Last year Kountze won with a last second field goal. But overall history between schools H-D dominates the series. Also this year they play at the Swamp in Daisetta !! H-D has a great home field advantage. And H-D has one of the nicest grass fields in the State.
I don't know if we are quite in your league yet Rebels...for the past five years or so you have dominated. [glow=red,2,300]I respect the tradition, the coaching, and most importantly the fan base...which is unlike anything in 1A football that I have ever seen. [/glow] Congratulations to your town for achieving that. However, here in the lakes we have some very hungry Mustangs..who are dying to get respect. We dismantled Timpson 3-0 in the scrimmage, a team that beat us 30-0 last year without their star back whom they had Friday. I know for a fact that hardly anyone respects Burkeville anymore...and you have good reason not too...but, take it as you want....this team is much, much better...and just may surprise everyone in the district.
Must not have seen H-D !! When it comes to tradition and pride, not to mention fan base we have it !!
Good luck to the Cats this year. I'm still having a hard time getting over the fact that the Rebs wont face HD this year. That's turned out to be a pretty good rivalry over the years with some heated battles. Oh well, hope y'all make some noise in DI this year.
Thanks, good luck to yall too.

They were a very fired up athletic team. H-D, HI and SP all had good moments and big plays for TD's. All the teams have improvements to make, that's why we scrimmage. As far as my H-D Bobcats, we have to play with more energy and more emotion. There is nothing wrong with getting fired up. I think conditioning had alot to do with that. On a good note, Tyler Drake and Tyler Edmonson played great today both rushing for TD's. Chisholm Marberry and Michael Tanner had a good game, both scoring TD's. Stud player Keith Gilmore only played a few snaps due to a prior injury at practice. Good job Bobcats.
Keith hadnt graduated yet?
He is a Senior.
Rock T must had made quite an impression on you 55. Did you go head to head with him?
No Sir. My uncle was a stud linebacker in 1991 for H-D. #44 they called him the blonde bomber. He went head up with Rodney Thomas all night. My uncle picked off a swing pass intended for Rodney Thomas, as my uncle headed for the endzone Thomas slipped and fell down and still caught my Uncle from behind. What an athlete he was !! I myself played for H-D in the mid 90's, I also played groveton in the playoffs. The Horace boys were studs on those Groveton teams I played.
Alma Mater of Rodney Thomas, one of the greatest high school running backs the state of Texas ever produced. I watched him play against Schulenburg in the Astrodome back in the late 80's or early 90's.
3700 YDS rushing in 1990....8400+ for his career.....truly one of the greatest.
Trust me, I know how great he was. Hull-Daisetta played against Groveton and Rodney Thomas in the playoffs in 1991. Thomas killed us !! Later he went on to star at Texas A@M and then with the Houston Oilers.

Come on men, try to play nice. I don't know if PNG's winning percentage has always been high? I know the three teams I talked about have been winning since way back. H-D and Newton were dominate long ago. WOS has not been around as long as those two, but since they started football they have dominated.
