Right on brother !!! The Bobcats are the only traditionally known power house football program in Liberty County. Also the only program to ever win a State Championship. And yes H-D leads the head to head series against Hardin by like 40 wins to 10 losses. H-D is known for football Hardin is known for what ? And yes it is very special to wear that red and black under the friday night lights !!! On the other hand I do have to say Hardin has been a night and day program in the last 5- 10 years. Hardin has been playing good ball as of late, and Friday should be a classic rival game close to the end. Merch that was the best post ever go Bobcats !!!

This is a rivalry that goes way back. With H-D winning most of the contests. But as of late Hardin has had some good football seasons. H-D is a 1A school but like always has many explosive weapons on the football field. This game should get really heated fast and be real competitive. Bragging rights are on the line. I have never said anything bad about coach Slack. I know him personally and I have always said it is cool to have a past Bobcat great has our head coach. Coach Slack coached our boys to an undefeated district championship. So get your facts straight buddy !!! Hope you enjoyed your 2-8 season.

I don't remember that many fumbles in that game. I do remember H-D pounding the ball and running over Groveton for 3 quarters. Even the Groveton radio people were talking about H-D's big backs and how physical they were. You sure you were there at the game ? If not for the terrible play calling and even worse clock management in the 4th quarter by Barbay, we would have won the game. Instead Groveton came back and got the victory.

Does anyone know if WH has ever made it past the first round ? Just wondering.

H-D and Groveton was a great game last year to watch. A very close game, Groveton won the 4th quarter and got the win. I see this years game being very explosive and turning out to be a great game to watch. H-D has tons of speed and some very big running backs. Cook goes about 230 and Patterson about 210. Any opinions on how this game will go ?

Last year all the Hull-Daisetta fans drove over 90 miles to Huntsville to see the H-D vs Groveton game. Keep in mind Huntsville is only about 25 miles from Groveton. Groveton was the home team and it was no big deal, but this year H-D is being asked to play once again in Huntsville against Groveton over 90 miles away. Does anyone think this is fair? 2 years in a row our fans have to pay the high gas prices and travel. I feel like this year the game should be played in our area, like Dayton maybe. Dayton is 20 miles from H-D and about 90 miles from Groveton. I think that would be real fair. Why should H-D be treated unfairly? If anyone reading this knows the UIL rules regarding playoff locations, please say something. And let me know if this is unfair. I feel like Groveton is getting two home games, two years in a row. Remember, 25 miles, that's what I call a home playoff game. And don't ask me why our coach/AD agreed for us to play there.

Anyone know anything about Galveston O'Connell ? Will the game be a blowout ?

First of all, let me just say I agree with HDbobcats9 on everything he has said about Barbay. Also I can say I played football with HDbobcats9 and Cedric Broussard. I blocked for Cedric for two seasons. And I lined up next to HDbobcats9 for 4 years. Both players were the best at their position that I have ever seen. Cedric as a power runner and HDbobcats9 as an All-State defensive end. And that was true that Cedric asked him to wear his jersey, I was there, I know. As for HDbobcats9 not knowing his facts about football or the Bobcats, that is a BUNCH of crap!!! I have been friends with him for almost 25 years, ever since kindergarden. And I can asure you he is a true football guru. When he says something, 99% of the time you can put your money on it. I feel like Barbay basicly has rode the coat tail of his father ever since he has started coaching, he is very over rated. I don't feel like he would've even gotten the HD job if it weren't for his last name. We all know his dad is a hall of fame coach. GO BOBCATS!!
