Look at the consistency of play-off runs by 20-4A teams for the past 20 years. Respect is earned by that record. It is so tiring to read the same type of responses on here year after year. Show respect towards teams that have earned and displayed true player and coaching talent over SEVERAL years, respect will come for the teams that are still trying to prove they can make it to the playoffs two, three or even five years in a row. Several teams such as Nederland, PNG and Central have traveled a long hard road to get where we are in our program and we sure didn't achieve it in a season or two with only one or two classes with talented players. I know I am ready to see Nederland move deeper into playoffs than just 3 rounds. (We have been 3 rounds several years in the past) I truly believe that we are moving in the right direction this year, especially with our accomplishments from last year make for a lot to build from. I also noticed that in the past 10 years or so of playoff runs, I have seen Central, LCM, Ozen and PNG fans(more than any other school) come out and suport us. That is true respect shown. A bunch of Nederland fans went and supported Vidor in Bi-District round when they played Dayton (I think 3 years ago). That is more than I can say for the good supporting folks of Vidor, which I have NEVER seen at one of our playoff games (Curious to know if they do that to anyone else). Lumberton falls short on supporting the area teams as well, so your not alone Vidor. I will continue to support all of our 20-4A teams inspite what other fan bases say or do. Good luck to all and pray for all the players to have a injury free season. As far as predicting the outcome of 20-4A, have fun with it, but we all know when it comes down to it, NOBODY knows what will actually happen. Of course I am pulling for my DOGS, I honestly believe they have a shot at having the best season this year than they have had in the entire Neuman era at Nederland.
Well put!

I mainly here this underestimation theory coming from PN-G fans themselves.
I am referring to the folks who has us in the botttom tier of district. Its a new season and I cant argue with their opinion just stating my own
I went and watched some practice yesterday and WOW!!!!!!!!!!! I hope everyone keeps underestimating the tribe.
What did you think of the d-line and backers its has been many years since we had so much speed and ability to flow to the ball. Im very excited about this season.

WR84 i have much respect for your jags and I believe they will be in the playoffs and yes you will have to prove youself but thats anytime you have a nonwinning record the season before. Best of luck!!! Asfor PNG after watching a couple of practices for my Indians I believe they are being underestimated and haveno problem with that. They are looking very good defensively. The biggest surprise for me is our QB smith who is looking very solid running the offense. The back up QB is also very accurate with his passes and is only a freshman right now and will be a sophmore next season.

Sorry for the loss and prayers from PNG

Very excited about the replacments looks great for the INDIANS!

A QB 6'5" throwing to a reciever at 6'4" will be fun to watch at PNG this season.

A little insight on PNG. The Indians will be fine upfront on both sides of the ball. They have another great reciever to replace Nelson and the RB's situation will be ok also. The biggest ? for this team will be the QB position. I remember AJ Smith throwing bombs from the 50 yard line in practice last season but he needed some work on his short to medium range passes. I recently was told he has made a good amount of improvement in this area and believe he will be a great QB for PNG next season. I really believe that PNG will be in the playoffs next season. I cant rank the teams yet because i know to little about the other teams in our district. One really cool stat about AJ that you all might find intresting is that he is around the 6'5" mark but oves around like someone much smaller and he has a really strong arm. I will get back to you all after spring training and give some more opinions.
