I spent more time this week than a in long time studying and still did poorly. Last two season I was on turnaround so I would just guess weekly might have even missed a couple of weeks. I seem to get stuck at around 17 every week. This week I should have guessed. A couple of games my gut went against my studies and I could have gotten a couple more right just going with my gut this time around. Oh well I like the pick-ems because they get you involved with every team in our area.

We play Huntsville in 3 weeks they are similar, not the same but similar in the way they play ball. Coach Southern is a great coach at Huntsville and always has them playing really good football. Not sure they have the size up front as LaPorte. LaPorte is exactly what we needed. I watched the entire LaPorte game against Deer Park last week online. DP attacked differently than we did offensively but to give LaPorte credit Dps defense looked just like ours tonight they could not tackle LaPorte's RBs in the same way we couldn't. They would get their hands on them but could not get them down. LaPorte's team is a very good football team. In reality a little bit more defense and taking better care of the ball and they would be tough for most teams in 5aD1 to beat. Hats off LaPorte you were exactly what PNG needed. I could go deeper into the X's and O's but no need to bore everyone. Great game LaPorte I take my hat off to you. ALso for those who have to play LaPorte they never quit. Even when the game was likely unwinnable they played as if they were going to win anyways, They are a team you have to play for four quarters, LaPorte good luck the rest of the way.

What is LaPorte Orange?

I hope Crosby turns it around soon. Love having a good Crosby team playing in our area. Hope it gets straightened out soon.

Serious question. What has happened to Crosby? They made it all the way to state not to terribly long ago. Any Crosby fans can share some input? PNG and Crosby played some amazing football games. They had some amazing teams just a few years ago. I know one day the wheel will spin and they will be back, just curious what is going on currently.

DJ Barnes is one heck of an athlete and looks to be a fantastic QB. Shelbyville is blessed to have such a good QB. I drove by while they were playing Friday night, It looked like a packed house at their beautiful stadium.

Watched the video. Though a short sample size, it looked like the defense was in place at most times, took proper angels, and had great form tackling.

Playing a little closed playbook look. Plain calls. PNG adjusting as per the last two seasons. KO is big and physical. Great team to start the season with. Good way to find all the right players and put them in the right position. PNGs defense is looking good.
