  1. Thats because everyone knew who they were hiring. Per a local coach.
  2. Dont know unfortunately I was on turnaround. I can find out.
  3. Whats sad is they cancelled the parade for their players and community for not winning state.
  4. I was so sad when his brother got injured. He was a stud with over 90 tackles last season. He was a BA wideout as well.
  5. We did this year. All I heard all year was we made it to state last year. I will yield to you as a many time over state winner that maybe even more so. This team is going to be loaded and as good as this SC team. Now is that good enough is the question. That whole O line is back less 1 player Both Jackson Christian and Aaron Woolford ( both holding power 5 offer's) The 10th grade QB is back (1644 yards 19 TDs and 2 pics) 2 more years, top receiver is back. Losing Nguyen is gonna hurt but the two others that are playing along side Blair (1206 yards 17 TDs) are really good backs. District Defensive MVP Hernandez (57 tkl 4.5 sack) is back at NT, Fuentes (43 tkl 4.5 sacks) is back at DE. #4 Wuenschel (84tkl, 4 sacks, 4 ints ) back at LB along with many others.
  6. WOS get back were you belong. You ARE the leaders of SETX. PNG and WOS are now tied at 8 trips to State and 4 State Championships. With WOS doing it in half the time. You guys have been the pride of SETX for a long time. Other teams like Silsbee is building into something special. The teams that are loaded and got to figure it out is Beaumont. Their school is loaded with talent. Get it figured out Beaumont.
  7. PNG has 8 back on offense and 5 on defense. two of the three d linemen are back.
  8. I just keep thinking about all of that PNG line back minus 1 kiddo. and 2 of the 3 down lineman back. Including Defensive District MVP Hernandez. District New Comer of the Year Conner Bailey.
  9. Since 1975 Nederland has made 4 or 5 quarterfinals and 1 semifinal. They have been a good football team. The last few years they have been down. The truth is they have been close at least 4 or 5 times during that time. I was at the game at Rice I think it was when they lost the chance to go to State to Smithson Valley 38-18 I think on the score. Neaumann was 186-93-1 at Nederland. Thats a lot of wins. Nederland will be back.
  10. Sorry brother not a chance. That's owned and patented
  11. I am out on this discussion. I will say one thing He was a coach at NS. That is a fact. Not sure Coach Izzy if you are still coaching so thats why I said was. What you all are talking about I am staying out of. Izzy I will say this... Walking out of Jerry World yesterday an elderly gentleman wearing that exact same style ring just walks up to me and gives me a hug. Out of the blue. He said congrats PNG and he said TY PNG for bringing it back to Houston. I know we arent Houston, but this man warmed my heart. By the way the ring was from his grandson who was a freshman on the 2021 team and let his grandfather wear his ring to the game. He was such a gracious and sweet man. He was very proud of his grandson who was starting in the game. I was heartbroken for him when I heard the score. He was so kind. He was so proud that a team from our area won and his words "way to represent". NS is a great school.
  12. Understood TY. Someone told me it was the field goal kicker that kicked it. Like I said my bad.
  13. I was watching the replay. Heard the cheering looked up to see the Indians going for the ball. I missed the kick. I would think that the natural reaction would be to think the kicker made the kick. I apologize to whichever kiddo made the kick. I just didnt see it.
  14. From were I was sitting I was watching the replay and heard the cheering and looked up in time to see PNG swarming the ball. I missed the actual kick. TY.
  15. Once again TY all for supporting us. I had the ability to see the play I was sitting just a few yards from it. The player grabbed our player and held him to keep in from running his route. SOC wore purple glove to prevent holding calls. Smart I guess. Not my type of thing, but I guess smart nonetheless. The refs were not a factor in this game. There was no more missed or extra calls than in any normal game. I thought they stayed out as much as possible. Met some great PAM people in our hotel who drove up to watch us play. A man from Northshore gave me a hug after the game and told us that he was proud that we brought a trophy back for US all of us in SETX. This is for SETX. Ofcourse its another trophy for PNG and I am proud of our boys, coaches, band, drill team, school, and ofcourse the Phillips family. The man from Northshore made me realize that when you win it represents your district, and your area. I didnt think about this whole Houston vs Dallas thing. Anyways again TY all. WOS you guys carried the torch so much in recent history. I hope we did a good job for all of SETX while you others finish what you started. There are several SETX teams that are close. I hope your time is next season. PNG has a ton back next season. Maybe we can make a decent run next season as well.
  16. Easy way to look at it PN-G won against a great team. Hats off to SOC you are a great program that took all we had to win. Congrats SOC on a great season.
  17. TY I was there it was legit I was sitting right there by the play.
  18. I watched a podcast with Gary last week and they asked if he was retiring and he said he had a few good years left.
