that sure is a great video. i cant wait to put on my red and white in support of the cards. seeing that video makes me realize that even though lamar may not be the most well known or be located in the most scenic location, its still our university. meaning it belongs to everyone in the golden triangle and the surronding southeast texas communities. as southeast texans, lamar university should be a reflection of who we are. we need to take pride in it!!! go big red!!!

im headed back to lamar in spring 08. i haven't been to school in 10 years. but i will be more than happy to pay the football fee to get football back at LU. 8)

IMO the key to high attendance figures will be WINS!!! i think the folks around setx understand that when lamar starts football again there will be some growing pains. however, once the new wears off, the key to keeping people in the stands is winning, and making the playoffs on a regular basis. just my opinion. everyone loves to follow a winner.

heard on the news tonight that lamar may be scrimmaging as early as 2009 and possibly playing real games in 2010. that would be really nice. 8)

i agree that giddings was a different team without Fitz. i will say this though, that giddings team i saw last friday night was the best ive seen in the 3 years we played them. from top to bottom, they were every bit of that #1 ranking. would we have won if giddings had Fitz? i dont know, but thats in the past and the stangs need to concentrate on the LA VEGA PIRATES!!!

i voted yes to both props 1 and 2. and would vote yes again if given the opportunity to do so. i hope there is turf in the football stadium in the near future.

i cant wait to see dayton's new home side. i personally like sat games....to me it has more of a playoff atmosphere. 8)

the astrodome will always have a special place in most mustang fans hearts, thats where our mustangs won their first state championship.

i dont think the officials will try to sneak in the turf. prop 1 passed and that is certainly good news. personally i think they should have kept the turf in prop 1, but thats just my opinion. perhaps it can be installed in the future with money from somewhere else. the only problem i have with prop 1 is the renovations to the carl godwin auditorium....it is located on the old middle school campus. the old middle school campus has been closed down for years, and currently is being used as a maintenance building.

i heard that our first playoff game might be in Pasadena. we played there last year, its a very nice stadium. it looks like Lamar's stadium, except with turf.
