8. exactly...they care what their donors think...im an alumnus and attend every game and spend my money at the concessions but im not a big donor...they wont listen to me...maybe everyone should call the alumni that has donated money and have them put pressure on the administration to make changes...
Ah, I get it now.  You fback up your claims of the Rebels' ability to pack its stadium based on the opponent's travel-heavy fan base.  So I guess LU should expand their stadium so the fan-loyal Wisconsins of the world will come, much like the series with UNLV.  Yeah.
The stadium was packed. I didn't count fans at the gate. And I would care who packed PU Stadium just as long as it was packed. Gawd, you guys would go to war to keep Lamar lowly. why there was no community outrage when Lamar dropped back down to the SLC.
why would there be outrage? the university will do what it feels is best for itself...not what is said on a message board...
Yeah, why in SETX?  Everywhere else knows why. I like to see silent fans if Baylor decides to move to the Sunbelt or SHSU tries to move back to DII., They would riot while SETX accept it and try to fool yourself with excuses,.
even if they did riot do u honestly believe that baylor or shsu would care what they're fans think?  they would do what they feel is best for their university..not the opinion of trolls on the internet..

I saw to Bobby Knight...we talked about Lamar.... isnt there a UNLV board you can go troll ?
Ouch tane. I didn't know you were so sensitive. I better use a pillow next time. Clearly we are from two schools. I remember a Lamar knocking off top 20 teams in MBB and not playing the Langston's back in the day. Yes the football team lost games, but Lamar played the Baylor's and La Tech's. You all are content with Lamar being a nobody in a nobody conference playing SFA and SHSU in a small 16k stadium.Don't get mad at me because I want to see Lamar grow to be the best. It is you all with the low expectations, no vision, can't be done, small town small school like SFA and SHSU mentality., oops, sorry tane. I was a little rough there. Here is some tissue.
a lot of games!
 13. unlv...im sure if u were to write a big donation check, the Lamar administration would be more than happy to hear what ideas you have for the school...
 14.
I read the Enterprise with amusement this morning.  The writer (can't think of his name) compares Lamar's 3rd year back at football, 2nd year in FCS classification(?), against and established program like ULL.  THERE IS NO COMPARISON!  ULL may be in the "lowly Sun Belt" but there is a big difference between the Cajuns and Lamar.  Scholarships, fans, facilities, athletic dept funds/budget, etc.  ULL is a real deal FBS program. The writer points to the McNeese win over FBS Middle Tennessee.  That can happen when a program like McNeese does not have a 10 lapse in sponsoring FCS football. My point is, Lamar fans should not be continually hard on the direction of the program.  It takes time for "start ups".  Unless.....................................you put the money into a coaching staff that can hit the ground running.  I thought Lamar was making a mistake hiring a JC coach, what, four years ago???  Should have hired a proven head coach or a top assistant from a successful program that could "kickstart" the Lamar program.  LU fans to need to get behind the program, attend games, fill the stadium regardless of who they are playing, regardless of their record. Four years ago all Lamar could do was sit on the sidelines, catch a meaningless game on TV, all the while wishing football would return to Lamar.  Well it has returned!  Embrace it, support it.
i support LU fully and attend every home game...but it is frustrating to keep taking so many beatings...i feel the same as u..the fans should come and support the LU..the games really are fun and its nice to have a college football team so close to home.
 15. well in the lamar football programs defense..ULL was a good team...but if we take the same beatings in conference this year..then yes i would start asking questions as to why we are not improving..
 16. wos and png will be another classic ballgame...good test for the stang defense...while everyone is talking about the stangs defense...im concerned about the mustang offense...after putting 2 quick touchdowns on the board early in the lcm game..the offense seemed to have a little trouble getting in sync...hopefully they will continue to improve...
 17.
I think Lamar's ready for the Mountain West now!
youre thinking too small minded..we are rdy for the big 12..bwahahahaha!!!!
 18.
No No No, you guys got it wrong....AGAIN. The SBC is a regional fit for Lamar, and it would be nice to renew old rivalries. But the SBC over all sports is only slightly better than the SLC. The only benefit in going to the SBC is FBS. OTOH, the MWC also offer FBS but only slightly better than the SBC. However the MWC basketball is ranked 8th among 32 conferences with the 3 worse MWC MBB schools leaving. The SBC is ranked 19th, SLC 28th. MWC is ranked very slightly below the A-10 and PAC 12 for the 6th spot. The exposure for Lamar would be huge. Top 25 teams coming to Beaumont, ESPN highlights regularly, and at least 3-4 ESPN./ESPN2 late games per season. In the SBC, ZERO ESPN/.ESPN2 games. In the SLC, Pat Knight stays for a few successful seasons. In the MWC, Knight stays a long time. Lamar would be crazy insane to choose the SBC over the MWC.
unlv..u make it sound so simple....if only it were so...
Flawed logic. Texas st has Texas Tech at their home, UL-Monroe has Baylor. Do you honestly think Lamar would be having attendance drops if Texas Tech and Baylor was coming to Beaumont instead of Langston and Mcmury?  honestly? guess we will have to agree to disagree  8)
if we had those games on the schedule great and attendance probably would be high, so i agree with you there...but thats only 2 games out of 6 home games...what about the other 4 home games..do u honestly think that if our team is not good more people will attend just because we played baylor and texas tech?
Yes. If Lamar stinks but is playing a Baylor or Tech at home, more people will attend than if Lamar was good but playing Langston.
22. jimmy salter is a good qb..last year he made a few plays that had us scratching our heads, lol and i know chase rutledge is a good one but i think jimmy should get the start at qb this year...coach thompson is big on senior leadership..and i look for jimmy to be a big leader on the team this year.
 23. i love college games in the day...and as far attendance..if the team is not terrible people will still go.
 24.
This is the year where we find out if BC has been winning based on a few athletes or the system.  I'm hoping that this year will be the one that solidifies BC as a consistent top performer in 21-3A.
i think most alrdy consider BC a top performer in 21-3A
 25.
Won't be a further run for WOS. They would have to beat La Marque or Coldspring and that ain't hapnen. ;) ;)
lol..of course cause we never have beaten either of them.. 8)
