Lsu with a very nice win last night. It was great to see Ranaudo back to form. But heck what did u expect, its tourney time, so of course Lsu is going play winning ball. Anyone know how Tx. did last night in their conference opener?  ;D

nOW THAT'S A GOOD ONE.....bUT ON A MORE SERIOUS NOTE,  Coach Wise at Houston Yates is most likely a very good coach. Talent helps now. My question is, does Yates overall care about doing things right, or just winning? The programs that win and play by the rules get the most respect, period. The longevity of a good program is based on this particular idea. ( Duke, Kansas, Carolina, Etc.) It will be very interesting to see their roster next year. Ethics go alot farther in life than just winning basketball games. DONE!!!

Nobody could have coached that talent less team at Yates like Wise did. ( I know about 10 who could) Recruiting in High School is okay because others do it. ( Win at all cost, What a life lesson!) Running the score up on other teams shows class ( Other teams, who cares?) Building a program is a thing of the past ( Who cares about the J.V. kids, have you seen the AAU circuit, full of talent! ) And last but not least the Diamond Press, when ran as a team shows great team basketball. ( Athletes not needed.. steal, 3 on 1 Alley OOOP or deep 3....... uhhh," WOW THESE GUYS ARE REALLY PLAYING SOME GOOD TEAM BALL, THEY'RE DOING IT JUST LIKE WE'VE BEEN PRACTICING IT."  UHH, COACH THEY'VE ONLY BEEN HERE FOR 2 MONTHS!!!!

Thanks aces, some of us see things differently I guess. But I keep saying to myself, wow I sure would have liked to have seen that Bellaire team this year..Wayyyyyyyyyy more talent, wow, hard to believe, I guess the Bush team that beat them must have been a college level or maybe a juco playing in the high school playoffs. Why, because Wise did not coach at Bush, and that guy can really coach..I saw Bush play in Austin and thought they were pretty good, but didnt have Yates type talent. Maybe the guy at Bush needs some props. Bellaire had Wayyyyyyyyyyyyy more talent?????????????Fact is not many have 3 D-1 players and 2 or 3 more who will most likely end up there.Again, good coaching, or good___________ you fill in the blanks!

Hate Wise, dont know him..Hate anybody, nope. Look buddy, you can press teams without any structure at all. I know coaches who press and dont have a clue where the kids are going...Rules, maybe. Athletes can gamble and get away with alot of mistakes. Amazing how this Yates team doesnt have any players and are #1 in the country? That has to be the best coaching job of all time possibly. You keep comparing Yates to Bellaire and maybe Wise outcoached the guy at Bellaire one game, but saying he outcoached everybody else is a joke, but no pun intended..You didnt answer the question about the Yates J.V. kids, are we going to see any of them next year, or is the recruiting class too strong. And if thats the case how should those J.V. kids feel about that???? If you get beat by 30 with similar athletes its called " unprepared "  But thats coaches talk!! 

Tejas hit it right on the nose homeless...For the Bellaire Yates comparison....If you're #1 in the Nation you dont have wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy less talent than  huh...anybody..except maybe the lakers...as for full court pressing,great players with great instincts and the ability to anticipate can do damage to any unprepared team....But lets not compare teamwork with Duke, not happening!!! How was Yates J.V. team??? Those are the players that we will be seeing on the Varsity next year right??? I think thats the way its supposed to work!!

Not sure about the word tremendous???? Can he coach incredible talent, yes!!! Teaching kids to play pressure defense when you have better athletes is not very hard. On top of that athletes who have very high skill levels equals victories, and alot of them.. Tremendous coaching is what I just saw from the Duke bench. Baskeball players with very high I.Q. level, playing team basketball, with lesser athletes.Not only did Duke win it, but they did it by abiding by the rules..yes, class pays off!!

Transfer?? Unless they cant play..Best program, nope..best selection of talent..no doubt, and I guess will try it again...U.I.L. to blame , true , if they dont fix it quickly, where are our ethics??? Doing this in the summer is fine....At a public school is wrong, period.

THIS IS A JOKE.....BASICALLY THIS GUY IS SAYING, I CANT COACH, I HAVE TO GO OUT AND GET THE BEST KIDS IN HOUSTON.  #1 How challenging is that. #2 How ethical is that when the other coaches in the state are working their butt off to try to not get embarassed, if they happen to match up against them inthe playoffs...Is U.I.L. to blame , yep if they allow it...Academics?? Please, next question. One reason only. This is not college basketball, recruiting is not part of H.S. basketball....Are they a private? Nope..Dont come on here and say kids can go anywhere they want in Houston because thats wrong too...3 million plus vs some communities with 12,000 and in the 4a division!!! it is even about to get tougher to win at vidor, with the district going back to 7 or 8 period classes, instead of the block schedule. That will be alot less time for athletics

Kid can play..but there is hope for him...See Longhorns! As a Soph. you could tell he could have been really good, attention got him..He will either figure it out, are be hooping it up at the wellness, quickly..Alot of good players out there!

Actually, not every player on that team could get a scholarship. The subs were pretty good h.s. players but only a couple will get future scholarships...in the state tourney, there was definitely a drop off of talent when the subs went in...Wise could not go 5 in and 5 out like he did in regular season. But those first five were impressive...Also, not sure about the grade remark..Saw a kid from P.A. play at Tx. this year that did not graduate with his class...It's amazing how they " find a way ".

Actually internet coaches, its not what its all about....If kids are good enough they will move on to play at D1 schools, regardless where they play H.S. basketball..If this coach is recruiting in the public school system, its wrong..period. How about win the right way like the other coaches try to do it..I would much more respect the Yates team this past year if they would all have been in the Yates feeder programs in middle school..AAU teams play in the spring and summer. ..This is a disgrace and if you cant understand the morals and values of that , then Im realy sorry that you just dont get it ....By the way, Daddies , most kids dont play at the next level, in any sport, you may get that now or it may take you a while, but there are many more life lessons to H.S. Basketball than putting together the best group of AAU kids and breaking scoring records. Who do you think really thinks they will benefit from that the most THE COACH..He thinks it makes him look like he can coach..See it every summer....Wow, it amazes me where our society is headed, and pitiful!!!
