Dave Campbell's District Chu... No, I'm not gonna say it. Given the Pirates' record against the powerhouse programs they feasted on earlier in the season maybe they can petition TAPPS or TCIL to let them participate in their playoffs if the public school thing does not work out for them in what was supposed to be their year.

To all you PNG fans who think you're so good

Puma: I think that I may speak for many Nederland fans when I say - stop it you, are embarassing yourself and the rest of us with your posts in this thread. While I don't think PNG is as good as their record may indicate, they are a solid team and they have to be considered the favorite this week. I expect Nederland to play hard and maybe even pull off a shocker, but odds are they will have to take their butt-kicking like men this week. It is definitely not our year, but I have confidence in Neumann and co. and Nederland will be back. -
Ozen vs. Nederland predictions?

The truth hurts. The truth shall set you free. The truth is stranger than fiction. Truth or dare. The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. So you see, we don't all know what they say about the truth. Please enlighten us. -
Best of luck to you. Anything that brings more baseball to the area is a good thing, be it Nations, USSSA, or Super Series. Thanks for giving the teams more options to play in this area. Silsbee - you are definitely entitled to your opinion, and I am sure everyone respects it, but I can't understand running it down before it even has an opportunity to get off of the ground. If you are not a fan of Super Series, which you definitely aren't, don't sign up. Vote with your feet and don't play, but there is no reason to shoot it down prematurely. As for bringing USSSA back, you should look into that if you think it is worthwhile. Ford Park is allowing the tpx group to bring in Super Series so I am sure that they would listen to your proposal to bring back USSSA.

12U ROUGHRIDERS TRYOUT INFORMATION

Very good organization with a great group of guys coaching and working with the kids. How many players are you looking for? -
I heard from this guy whose cousin was dating a girl who used to be friends with this other girl whose mother was a cheerleader in high school with someone's mother and she told me that her brother's wife's cousin has a friend whose mother's best friend worked as a secretary for some low-level underling at Ford Park three or four years ago and they said that there are huge changes coming to the Baseball Academy and how things are run for tournaments. Obviously, these are highly credible sources and anything they said must be true. Bottom line - either post the scooby snacks you have 'heard' or don't bring up any management issues with the Academy / Ford Park.
-
Kind of a vague and accusatory post, don't you think? If you are going to put something like that, it would probably be better to post some sort of details on what you 'hear' is going to happen. Just a thought so that the rumor mill doesn't get going at light speed.

Should the Gladiators be moved up? Yes. Will they be classified as Premier / Major next year? Probably not. It is what it is. My son's team played them a couple of times this past year and we lost both times, but we were competitive and the kids take pride in playing well against the Gladiators. They are the gold standard in this area and the kids know that. To a certain extent, I think that it is a travel issue. Once they are classified as Premier / Major, they would not be playing in Beaumont given the lack of teams in that classification. Does it help that Morgan is in the loop with the Nations' organization? Sure it does, but I don't think he is sandbagging just to win tournments, only to keep it convenient for his players and parents and no one should begrudge him that. Morgan has always been very fair with our team and they run a good ship out there. If teams are tired of getting their a**** handed to them by the Gladiators, get better. That's what our kids have tried to do.

District 32 = Bridge City Little League's Board They are one in the same.

Jasper 11's are loaded. We have played them in select the last couple years and they have a great group. Good luck to them next weekend.

If there is anyway that the little league brain trust in BC can influence the game, tournament, or outcome in anyway, West End is in trouble.

No one is going to beat PN-G easily at this point. They are playing with a lot of confidence and rolling right now. They should just keep getting better, but they still have a couple of tough games left. That does not include Vidor. PN-G should beat them by four or five touchdowns at this point. The only time that any Indian fans will be on the edge of their seats next Friday is for the fireworks. Vidor's homecoming show is outstanding.

That is the exact same knee parts that I screwed up. I missed out on the playoffs, after we hadn't made it in fifteen years, when I got hurt. It's tough. I hope you can come back.
-
Good luck on the rehab VP. I have had both knees reconstructed, one of them in high school, so I definitely sympathize with you. It's very hard to sit and watch while you're injured. I used to teach and coach at Vidor so I still try to follow them. I hope that they can get back on track.

Just in case the issue comes up later, let me be very clear on this: I am in no way saying that Dayton's new QB sucks. Not at all. The bottom line is you don't lose a possible D1 player, especially a quarterback, and not have some type of drop off in production. With that said, Dayton is still going to be a very tough out for anyone. For the record, I hope Dayton knocks off PN-G.
-
No hating. Just reasoned analysis based on the schedule and quality of opponents. What I will say though, if your D1 QB wasn't injured, you would likely waltz through.
-
Thank you very much for your concern and astute analysis. Dayton still isn't making the playoffs. Good luck Broncos.
-
Hit a nerve, did I? Don't be so sensitive. You still didn't address my substantive issues. Dayton has the toughest schedule, and even though talented, they have an uphill battle to get in.
-
Band Boy: Stick to something that you may know a little more about, like tubas, marching bands, and halftime shows. Dayton is good, but they probably have the toughest schedule of any of the one-loss teams. At Nederland and against Port Neches is a pretty tall order for anyone. I've got to go with PN-G, Nederland, and Lumberton.
