Hoping the defense holds up in this one. Need the offense to make significant strides.

Center is probably one of our better lineman. Played guard last year I believe. Move him back and find another center.

With the qb out. How’s the backup.

But can your Qb get the ball to them. I’ll take the Indians at home in this one. Hoping for lots of running and defense repeat of last week. Plus home field advantage.

Lots of enthusiasm on defense tonight by the Indians. Need to tighten that o-line up in couple spots. Hopefully they just need to jell some.

Bigger don’t necessarily make plays. But the kid in question is a playmaker. Passed over this year by a b-teamer from freshman year and back-up as a sophomore last year on jv. While he was the starter both years.

They have the right QB starting.

Defense will be better this year. The running game will be key this year. Need o-line to step up. Reed could be in the mix late in the year.

Beat up Png pretty bad. You’ve got dog blinders on. I’ll give you they won but not beat up pretty bad. JV not as good a reference as say the freshman game I saw last year. That was a beat up pretty bad. It was actually an ugly defeat. I’m referencing the A team. 44-8 coasting. Nothing to do with a running back going down.

Exactly what I was referring to. And 44-8 was taking it easy on them. They called the dogs off early, could have been uglier than that. The 8 points was scored against 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Maybe so. I still think the ndns put the spanking on the dogs for a couple of years. This year sophomore group has all the right pieces on both sides of the ball.

I don’t think big Ned will be a problem. These sophomores who will be juniors next year will be filling all the gaps. They have been beating the nederlanders since 7th grade. As freshman it was very ugly defeat.

Over achieved yes. Future only as bright as your under classmen.

The freshman are a decent group. Not on the same level as the sophomore group at that stage. But combined they have potential in the next couple of years. They need a true defensive coordinator to fulfill that potential.

Sadly there is good athletes on the defensive side for Png. If a team comes out running 4or 5 plays over and over and you don’t adjust to stop those said plays, well they keep running those same plays. The kids are lining up where they are told to. So where’s the problem lie now. I’ll give you 3 guesses.

Everyone knows that he’s next in line. Can you hear who the next defensive coordinator is. That’s more relevant.

PNG just needs a true defensive coordinator not a new to the coaching ranks that was giving the title.

That was demoralizing pitiful today.

We got donkey stomped and they only ran about 4 or 5 plays. Surely someone could have suggested they change something up to stop those 4 or 5 plays. Or how about watch some game film and copy it hay others used to stop them. Nederland held them to 10 points, that would have been a good starting point.

Do we have a defensive coordinator?

Crosby jv was not very good. Lots of backups got some playing time in this one.

One we would think this to be the perfect game test out a different defensive scheme. Gives them the opportunity to start a certain group and change this or that player out to find the best match. Plus give them some confidence if it works out.

Change is coming this week. Seems taking an arse whipping made the light bulb go off. There is good athletes on the defensive side of the ball. 3-4 is wrong scheme for sure. They did go to four man front in second half of Nederland game to corral them in. Should have permanently changed then. They also need to practice tackling and wrapping up. Which they don’t do. I’d be willing to bet the likes of West Orange practice tackling.
