Let's set the record straight. Kelly used to play the PNGs and Jaspers and other teams from this area. At the time, they were getting the snot kicked out of them. So they dropped back and played smaller teams to improve their overall record. This year they actually have a good team. However, don't play in TAAPS and complain that you get no respect. We know you have a good team. Win your state title and we'll all continue to debate the "How good.....?" question. As for scheduling Sulphur, its because both teams had open dates with no one left to schedule and the coaches knew each other and agreed to a 2 year deal. Maybe in the future Long will schedule WB, Ozen, Central, Nederland, Lumberton, etc. and it can be settled on the field.

About 6:30 this morning I walked outside and heard this blood curdling yell. At first I was scared, then worried, then I realized it's playoff time and it must be a Brook fan getting fired up for Saturday. I'll be ready for it tomorrow a.m. and won't have to set my alarm to wake up.

Katy does bring big numbers on the field and in the stands. It's pretty impressive if you've never seen it.

Don't miss the point. I just picked the first guy I saw with big numbers. We could play with those numbers all day long...such as how many yards were made after the catch, etc. and the polls would be different. Point is WB is playing as a team and I hope they keep it that way.

Do you think the kid at #14 would have something to say about those rankings? More yards passing, more TD's, 1/2 the picks. Point of the matter is that polls like this give kids big heads and get over confident. Its called fun with numbers. There will only be 2 numbers that matter...their score and ours. Not individual stats. He had his best game last week. He needs to continue that kind of play throughout the playoffs. If he plays like that and we stay healthy, hang on because it is going to be a long and fun ride!!!!!!!!!!!

With no Freshmen or JV games, I'd dress as many as players as I had uniforms. There's strength in numbers.

Sulphur lost in the first round of the playoffs THIS year. They were goodLAST year. You can't expect to play in TAAPS and have anyone fear you. The competition is just not there. However, Kelly is good this year. How good? That could be debated for eternity. They don't beat WB, WOS or the top 4a schools.

All this jibber jabber, flim flam, mish mash about who is second place (aka the first loser)? The playoffs are here. Just see who goes the furthest and plays the best.

It is a new season. WB doesn't need polls or articles just bring the W's week after week until there's no one left to play!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What WB needs is a long playoff run not a long running article. If after week 10 you don't know how good WB is, then you're probably at the opera on Friday nights and not at a football game.
