[/quote] yes utfan Bryce hasnt played since his sophmore season.  He pitched a heck of a game today mixed pitches well.  We have and im confident we will hit the ball better than we have.  Congrats Boys on the Win keep working hard for some more.

Austin Marshall from Kountze is a name to listen for.  The kid is a lefty with a smooth swing can play first r outfield but will help alot with the pitching.

i was at the Kountze practice both friday and all day saturday.  It looked like opening day of little league season instead of 1st high school practice with all the people at the field.  As for the players there was about 40 kids out today.  The pitching looks like Kirby will have plenty to work with lots of quality arms to work with.  It will be a fun and i believe special year.  Good luck Boys go get em.

very good point Numbers.  what ive seen the last 2 games is lots of arm tackles or attempted arm tackles that is.  Not much aggressivness from alot but not all of the D.  and our line is big enough it should be dominating the line of scrimmage.  I dont know if anyone else that was there saw but several times in both losses ive seen Olinemen almost looking at the person tackling the backs instead of blocking them.  Lets go lions I know yall can get it together.  Oh 1 last thing is it me or are we taking way to long to get plays on offense especially when we are behind with time running down.

well i was also at the game and both teams played hard.  Kountze missed alot of free throws also i know they missed 7 of 8 withing the last 2 min.  Im not sure the accual free throws missed but kountze had to be in the 20s themselves. but the game was very fast and furious.  Good luck HJ hope to see both of us make a run at state and see both of in Austin

Both The Kountze Girls & Boys Cross country teams won the district title.  This was the Kountze Girls 5th Cross country title in a row.  The Boys team won their second title in a row.  The coaches r doing a great job with these kids and have built something that looks like will keep going.  Good luck at reginals this year both teams.  One day yall will get the mention with all the other cross country teams in the area that u always hear about.

congrats boys on a good year no one expected you boys to make it this far. some said you wouldnt make the playoffs. some had you not making it past the first round and here you were 5 points and 2 more games from state great year. I really enjoyed watching you boys play and to the seniors good luck in your future
