hello anyone out there with updates normally on here have updates all night long i cant make it and slow updates its killing me

I say we have a realistic shot from what I have seen this year we could and I hope have a rep. from each 4A,3A,2A,@1A. I say Ozen, HJ,Kountze, and Spurger. even if not in order it would be sweet to have 4 representing Southeast Texas at state.

I would have to say Kountze and EC the first game in Kountze and the last game in the Montange Center they were both very good very exciting nailbitting games.

A great game it was. and dangit just missed my prediction of 75-70. Great job boys on holding on for the win had faith in you but have to admit kind of scared me in the last seconds not finishing of freethrows and making some bad passes in the end. You still played a good game and now on to the playoffs for both teams. Go LIONS keep up the hard work and make another run for another trip to state. Goo luck to you also EC maybe we will meet again in the Regionals. And good luck to our other district foe Hardin. All represent our district well.

well being from Ktown i got to go with the lions but in a close one and dont throw a score out much but ill give it a shot I say ktown by 5 Kountze 75 EC 70 Ktown all the way then well probably meet again at regionals. Hope both of em make it.

Warfan, your hatred for the Kountze Basketball program is VERY obvious, but I'm am quite appalled and at the same time, outraged, that you would call our brand of basketball "THUG BALL AT IT'S BEST." Kind of a discriminatory remark, but I will not take that route. Fred Williams (Texas Hall of Fame Basketball Coach), Andre Boutte (Ozen Head Coach), David Green (Fort Bend Hightower Head Coach), Travis Williams (Silsbee Head Coach), Todd Sutherland (Hardin-Jefferson Head Coach), and current coach Duane Joubert. All of the previous names listed were successful coaches in the Kountze program, and from what I'm taking from it is that you're saying that they LET these kids play "THUG BALL AT IT'S BEST." We (Kountze) have been running the same press (with a few tweaks) for the past 15 years. That same "THUG BALL" as you call it has won District Championships, Regional Championships, and also STATE Championships. The kids are taught the SYSTEM, by the head coach, and execute it. I guess the reason I am so outraged at your comment is because I'm a former Kountze Basketball player myself and the way we played the game was never looked at as "THUG BALL." Very well put KHSAlum. as a former player and student from KHS I agree with you completly to call it thug ball is very well ill say it to me might as well be calling it gangster ball. Ive never wanted anyone to get the score run up on them but Tuesday I hope they score and beat them worse than they have beaten anyone this year cause of the {thug ball comment that we play}

Just keep playing and one day you just might catch up to either of us EC or Ktown. I think ill have to go to the game Tuesday and watch this thug ball Kountze plays. ;D and EC see you at the montange next week it will be a great game.

The girls looked great tonight passing the ball using their teamates, running the floor, the heck with it they just flat out looked great tonight. Keep it up girls one game at a time but keep playing like this Maybe you and the boys can have reservations for Austin.

man same ol same ol get beat and the officiating was horrible. I was at the game too and the game was very physical buy both teams. Also Ill say this there was several incidents that should have had tec. fouls on Hardin like when Bray made a layup and got fouled and a hardin player tossed the ball intentionally in Brays back as he walked to the free throw. Ive heard and read all year how Bray is this terrible attitude of a player but tonight on several incedints they were trying to get him to get mad but to Devin great job keeping your cool. Physical contest and a bad score but its only cause were from Kountze playing at home. oh well maybe you will not lose another one and a playoff game on a neutral court and we will see. Great job boys keep it up and a long way in the playoffs is in store.

Sweet ive always been a Backe fan and I believe he will be a big help. He looked pretty good to end the year and with the offseason should be back full strength and help us out really badly needed. should get 10-15 wins at least. My opinion

;D no pitching around this lineup no matter how you put them this should be fun to watch now it the pitching staff can just keep the other guys from scoring a ton should be lots of wins in store for this year.

Thanks for the update im from Kountze and our boys played an ok game against lumberton but pulled out the win in the last second then got our bottoms handed to us by Silsbee we gave up after the 1st quarter. Then played Austin and their size was just to much for us but I wish our coach would have let them play more press cause when we did we made Austin make mistakes and got baskets on the plays. Then played Zone and they just picked us apart but when we played a man we played them fairly well but hats of to Austin they played a good game. also Congrats Vincent. Im just glad our boys didnt give up against Austin the way we did against Silsbee.

???upon reading i dont know what i was trying to say but the other night in boys play Evadale was beat 81-7 and there was alot of people was saying that Big Sandy should not have beat them like that. And all i was trying to say is that besides playing 3 on 5 or even less than that how do you tell kids not to score and play defense like they are supposed to. Hope that was better im new at this forum writing and didnt read what i wrote until i typed it Sorry for the confusion.

WOW!!!!!! and no one says anything about this score like the BS Evadale game thats amazing but i have seen worse scores before. But ive watched BB for several years and I have always said how do you make kids that love to play not play defense and not score when the other team cant score. And I agree K OUCH very big OUCH

I had a chance to see the young man from Austin today in the 3rd place game of the Southpark tournament today against Kountze and he is as advertised he was amazing. We had him defended several times and he found a way to make something happen and he did. If he didnt score he found someone that did. He hit 3 3s to start the game his shot is so smooth. He has a bright future if and it looks like he can keep his head on throughout highschool. He is an amazing talent. He dunked in the 3rd quarter. We played very hard but they played better every time we got close they pulled away. It was a good game and im glad we got the pleasure of playing in this tournament there was several games that were very good throughout the tournament. Does anyone that reads this know how the championship game came out between Vincent and Silsbee. To Kris keep your head up and keep playing some awsome BB and the future is bright for you. Also how many points did he end up with I was to excited to keep up with them.

Thanks dowg for the update missed it the other day. Missed tonights game against anahuac cause my son had a game in Beaumont in a Junior high tournament they won too over Lumberton 38-37 on a last second shot.

I see the stats someone has for the Dville boys anyone have the stats for the Ktown boys I missed the game and really wish I could have went. sounds like a good game but the score ended like I figured it would by at least 20. Good luck Dville when you come to KTOWN. Cant wait till Hardin comes to KTOWN if they can pull off the win in KTOWN ill say they are for real. Great job Kountze boys keep it up
