go Lumberton lol, come on tigers lets get it together I want to read about a sloberknocker lol -
yup it was horrible

true that if I didn't care I wouldn't sit in the stands and listen to you complain every year about how we don't have a chance lol. You are right I want to whip everybody, but the truth of the matter is we are set up to make the offense look good and the defense gets the scraps, we don't have any two way players to help us out, and half our following is still sipping that purple koolaid smh! Our head coach must have bumped his head, could have sworn I heard him on an interview that defense wins championships, wth we haven't had a defense in years, we just get by with offense trying to outscore everyone, you know as well as I do that wont cut it in the playoffs, and for some reason we just cant win the close games, and I will leave it at that! I wish I could say our defense is outstanding but after the mauling Angleton put on us with that runningback well pretty self explanatory for me!

that 2012 year was brutal to watch, the qb play was even worse smh, that was one transfer I wish we wouldn't have had.

no Nederland just hangs there hat and toots their horn on 6 in a row and making the playoffs every year, just eludes them that they have only seen the big show once way back when. We have had our chances to beat them within the last 6 years but have managed to blow it lol. last years game was a decent one, last minute deep pass and a fg was the difference. I expect our games to always be close very rarely is it a blow out. Doesn't matter if it is in our house or theirs always a good game. the one that was the nail biter for me was a couple of years back at their house we had them down 4th and five with 3 minutes left about to get ball on their side of field and a defensive end jumps offsides giving them the first down. I know they are highschool kids, but that may have been the most boneheaded play I have ever seen, smh. Even though that ended up giving them the go ahead drive we still managed to get inside the 10 and the 20 on consecutive drives and not score, mind you on those two drives had they kicked the field goals it would have put us ahead. This game was a you got to be kidding me kind of game. Realistically, this isn't our year but prob not yalls year either. Don't know about you making the playoffs is one thing, but getting past the second or third round is another. I'm not worried about whether we beat Nederland or not, I would rather see someone from our district make a hell of a run and get our area a lil recognition instead of being considered a cupcake district. I really wish we had WOS on our schedule and not just a scrimmage, the atmosphere is always electric win or lose.

Jayce Nelson new WR coach at Lumberton
biaplayer replied to NDNation's topic in High School Football
congrats to him would love to see him back home where he belongs, man that kid could ball!!! -
no I don't hold back. I do have high expectations though. Once again not my kid, I only have one and her momma took her to Vidor :-( . worst case scenario Vidor gets one hell of a cheerleader in about 5-6 years lol I just say whats on my mind. With that being said our defense is what I always question, heard some good things here and there, just have to wait and see.
-
I said that, seems the others may have quoted me and confused you. To answer your question he is not my kid, if he was he wouldn't have a problem catching the ball. I would have sent him to every football camp out there, and worked with him every day. To his credit I do see potential just hope he has matured with age and ready to go beast mode. With our Sophomore QB it should be fun because this fellow has some wheels also and should keep defense honest and open up opportunities for Mczeal. I am hoping he has a very big year along with the other wideouts. I will say this the wr s have been a steady constant the last 7 years or so, seems like there is always a Rose, Dron, or a Mcgown waiting in the ranks. Hell anything can happen cant blame me for being optimistic anyway. I just hope the kid has a better year than his last two and stay healthy. only time will tell

Lol I'm not in denial, I know where we are at wide receiver, and you are right , the one going to the faggies has to learn to catch the damn ball. He has all the talent in the world but for god sakes at least catch more than you drop. He has potential to take it to the house every time he touches the ball, but that is the problem he just touches and drops them instead of catching them. He seems to make all the difficult ones, It is the easy ones that he drops

field looks great!!!!! helmets well they are just helmets lol

biaplayer replied to Mr. Buddy Garrity's topic in High School Football
I think the little guy is fishing, no doubt he will show up sooner or later, What about ole Brenhamfan where is that dude haven't heard from him in years lol -
Hell with all that size and talent the tigers should Run my PNG team out the park, sounds like we are in trouble lol
-
that's one big QB might have the strongest arm but how much control and how accurate is he. It may be a close game I don't know, but I am still going with WOS. With that being said anyone can win on Friday night, where is the game being played?
-
man WOS is loaded to the hilt, I see smoke town getting run out of the stadium, cant believe you actually think The tigers have a chance smh
-
hell I myself didn't know this. Bet that was a fun ride for them
-
if that does happen I hope it is on Saturday night so I can go watch it should be a good game. I looked at our schedule, they have got our bye scheduled different than they have in the past, don't like changing up the schedules like that lol
-
think someone is pulling our legs lol

This could be a bad year for PNG unfortunately I don't know what kind of depth we have at any position to be honest, The QB position we have two both young and really unproven although I hear good things about both of them. RB heard we are down to back up and a list of who might can get the job done. The offense and defensive lines are both suspect, think we are good at the WR position although we lost some really good talent due to graduation. Haven't heard about the secondary pretty sure we are young at that position too , Lejune and Robinson will need a lot of help. Kicker is in question don't have any info on him at all I'm sure we will see a lot of directional pooch kicking as we have seen the last 8 years or so. With this assumption I'm really not sure if we can even rap up a #4 spot at best. Just my opinion as we have a lot of unanswered questions this year. I guess the spotlight will be on Johnson, can he come out on the field as a sophomore and be the field general that we need him to be, and somewheres amongst this team find a RB that can move the chains when called upon. Can honestly say I think we will need some players going both ways at some point in time.
-
I was under the impression also that Mayfield was the starter? What is this rumor that he is no longer on the team?
-
im glad you are optimistic, I myself and just curious to see how the season folds out.
-
I will be the one to say you hit the nail on the head, since Brandon Faircloth arrived, after that first year, we haven't had that much success at defense, and its downright discouraging that he plays his best players on offense and leaves little attention to the defense. I think players that are capable of going both ways should. Just my opinion though.
