even if it did come from that...yall still get beat by that "gay" scheme every year.. so i dont know why your even talking...go play with your cow patties and come back when you think you got a chance to play with us. I think Nederlands defense will be much improved this year because their leadership will be better. Johnson brought this laid back mentality to the defense and their play was a direct result from it. Grogan has a sort of "nastiness", maybe even a little dirty, agrressive style that I think is going to rub off on the rest of the defense. The offense should be better, but I would still like to see them be more creative. I am not talking about trick plays or anything, just move personell around or balance they play-calling a bit. PN-G will be just that PN-G. Whatever lack in talent they have they make up with pride. Never going to lay down, you have to beat them. Wright will be a beast, but where I think you lost ALOT, was the anchor in your defensive line. Those guys were animals last year, but just like Microsoft, you will find a way to Plug-N-Play. My boys, Lumberton, it never gets easier!! You will ALWAYS have doubters. It should be the fuel that drives you to give it your all everyday. I believe the Coaches have cemented a system and there are enough players returning that we should compete with everyone we play. We may have the best player in the district in Beard, he was 1st team as a sophmore. Anyway top 4 (in no order): Ned PNG Lum Ozen

If a frog had wings it would not bust his butt either. They lined up their team and we lined up ours and won. We can speculate all day the if's and what if's, but we fell just short of making this dream a reality by losing to Waller. I would have loved to have gotten the oppertunity to play Dayton again, but it didnt happen. But I do take some pride in knowing that it was the L-Train who gave Dayton their only District loss in 20-4A (out of 2 years)!

Columbia Blue and Red is just special. Purple and White looks like something off of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." It does suit the Indianettes well though. Maybe that is who they had in mind when they designed there color scheme.

Why would you want to take the chance of giving the ball back to score 3 or 7 points when all you have to do is kneel and the game is over? If He were to do that, then absolutely He (Burnett) would not deserve coach of the year because that would be the dumbest decision ever regardless of whether you scored or not. The coaches can vote how they want and that is fine, but Credeur had the most impressive season. Tri-District champion, beat a state semifinalist, and the defending state champs with a team that was picked to finish in the bottom of the district. Daytons coach also has a very good case as well. Having to overcome injuries at key positions and share a district title was a complete turnaround. All three coaches deserve the coach of the year.

No, not all towns, but one town will and I bet they did not play organized basketball for the first time in middle school. That has been the case for Lumberton football until the past few years. Lumberton is just now starting to get kids who have been playing football for 8 or 9 years instead of 3 or 4. Not only will playing at an early age make your skills better, but will also "weed out" the players who really do not want to play anyway.

You can not blame the PRIZE, they have to print what sells. If it does not make dollars, it does not make sense.

Paint, I was being sarcastic. We played a bunch of good teams this year and yes two of them handed us losses.

Yeah... that was the first good team we played all year. I am glad we FINALLY got to play a good team though.

Well, It had to end sometime. What a great ride though!! What you guys have done for the community is priceless. As happy as I am for the team, I am equally as happy for the town of Lumberton. It has been a long time coming and I can not think of any community more deserving of this expeirence than you. The support this year was second to none. Congrats to All!!! Now, on the game. I expected us to come out a little flat after such an emotional high last week. But, I thought we would settle down and overcome any deficit we might have been in. Waller was just too tough to come from behind to beat them. We were just overmatched up front. Waller did a great job of re-establishing the line-of-scrimmage and creating some big holes to run through. We played hard and never gave up, but we just got dismantaled. It was a tough way to go out, But heads were held high and we will be back!

The only thing I know more powerful than a locomotive is Superman, and unless Waller comes out and plays in red capes, I am not too worried.

Beware of the sandwhich game. We are coming off the Biggest win in our history and setting up a possible rematch with Dayton next week. Expectations are going to be that we will start off the game a little flat, but with the character and discipline that we have, we will be able to over-come that. Now, Mav24 has been pumping me up all year. I can honestly say that out of everyone on here, He has stuck his chin out there for everyone to take their best shot, and like Lumberton, he is still standing. So, great job Mav and keep calling it like you see it.

A couple of things wrong with the article... Waller is not 12-0. I know Nederlend beat them pre-district. Also, it is not the regional final but regional semi-final.

I am not one to talk trash but, man was the LaMarque crowds quiet tonight!!!??? I swear I heard a mouse ***t on their side. Congrats to the L-Train!! I can not describe how pround I am to say I graduated from Lumberton!!! It is not just because we won either, but it was the way that we never gave up and continued to fight all the way to the finish. Thank You L-Train!!! It was a Thanksgiving weekend to never forget!!!

I love that...same Lumberton team that got by LCM!! Same Lumberton team that beat Nederland by 26 the next week? Or the same Lumberton team that beat Smiley the week after that by 28? I do not know I am confused. So, is PNG the same team because the beat Vidor by 7? Is Lumberton suppose to never play a close game? LaMarque has had a hand-full of close games this year. Why can not Lumberton score a touchdown on Dayton again? Daytons defense has not changed all season. They have been tough to score on since week 0. The changes that they have made on offense is the reason they are playing so good right now.
