West Brook vs Channelview/WB WINS!!!

61-20 WB Final (that's what I was told anyway) -
Quick questions... The weather report for Saturday looks real bad. What do the UIL rules say about weather and postponing games. I'm sure lightening has to be involved. But is there an measure of field conditions at all? And lets say that the game gets postponed, when would it be rescheduled for? Wet and cold or hot and dry this is going to be a great game! We need to be out there supporting our Bruins either way. Let's Go Bruins!!

I agree with Weed that we need to be conservative with our estimates for next weekend's game. We don't need to go in with a big head - which seems to be what we did yesterday. If we go in there playing our best, and we keep our eyes (and hands) on the ball we'll do fine. WB 28 - Clements 22 As for the band taking third quarter off... I'll just say that I'm there to support the team, not to stuff my face for an entire quarter.

I agree with 82 that we're going to have to play all 4 quarters if we want to beat Clements. They're going to give us a run for our money, and we can't keep hoping to get lucky every week. The rain and wet turf did definitely slow us down, but towards the end the players seem to adapt to it. I also thought it was amazing when I got on the field for half time at how big our crowd was in comparison to SoHo's crowd. They were loud, but there sure weren't many of them. Their crowd seemed louder than their band.... Unfortunately, there were a lot of us, but not much noise (at least not at the level we were capable of). The boys need to rest up, but they need to work on their passing defense just in case Clements decide to throw the ball on Saturday. Let's give them a chance to work on it this week, and see what happens against the Rangers (fyi that's their mascot) on Saturday. In the end, we were a little nervous, but we came out victorious. And that's what counts...right? And thank Weed for the "extra security" on the band buses. It helped keep some of that Trojan mess from getting on our buses. Oh! And I hope everyone like our new half-time show. ;D

It's time to throw in the towel Trojans. At one tomorrow it will be like getting a shot at the doctor...if you close your eyes and look away, it will all be over in a second and it won't hurt nearly as bad. And then you can go eat some good turkey and get ready for Christmas. Guys! Game next week...Stump announced it at the pep rally today. For right now, the game next Saturday is at 1PM at Galena Park ISD's stadium (next to North Shore HS on Wallisville RD). We'll know details for sure tomorrow.

How's a caravan sound Bruin fans?? Either a fan caravan or one that follows the band/football/stars buses (there's usually 9 or 10 buses without the players). We'll make our arrival at Stallworth something the SoHo fans will never forget! Don't forget football is not only a physical game...its also a mind game.

Sorry Trojans...its the end of the road for y'all (Of course I mean South Houston Trojans, not Forest Park Trojans ) Stallworth's grass will be the last thing you'll see and Paw Power will be the last thing you hear next Saturday. You may be the "mighty trojans" but you've never met the "Battlin' Bruins" before! Lead on 82 - 5A! P.S. Why dont' we start a new post for just WB vs South Houston that way visitors can find our posts easier? -

Way to go Bruins! District Champions all the way!! -
It was sarcasm... I can't wait to see that score board reach zero and see a huge score for the Bruins and the number "0" for the baby birds.

This guy must be smoking something, or he's just really out of his mind. I almost feel bad for the poor boys over in Channelview. ;D
-
This is going to be just like the Memorial game when we outnumbered them at least 5 to 1. 8) Can't wait for Friday night! Go Bruins! P.S. As far as I know, they still haven't said anything at school about this game being a "Red and Blue Out" Game.
-
We talked about at band practice today about how we're going to fit in there. There's 160 of us and I think 60 or so Stars. This should make this an interesting game for the Bruins. Maybe we should invite them to Beaumont out of the kindness of our hearts... ;D

Thought I'd pass this along to everyone...Channelview's stadium is smaller than Durley Stadium. I don't know how much smaller, but it is definately shorter. This will make it all the easier to overflow the visitor's section of the stadium. The field of red and blue will look very impressive all compressed into such a little area! ;D

I'll be in there in my red and blue. Blaring paw power and cheering the team on. This is going to be a great game! Its gonna take Channelview weeks to realize what hit them!
