1.
ok. great weekend of football, we were off this week so i got to cross the river & watch my buddy who is the dc for coldsprings win their game vs huffman, then watch willis vs humble. Humble 398...you were the better team today. no if's & or buts... congrats to you...i really thought willis was ready to compete with you, but no way. They graduate 8 sr & you graduate 37. MAYBE next year they can give you a better game, but today you were the better team.
We do graduate 37, but we also return 5 on offense, and 6 on defense.  We won't be as deep next year, but in all likely hood we will be a better football team head to toe. Willis has some kids that can ball, but i felt that they came in with a misconception...that they could run with us.  Willis should of gone vertical with the pass from the very beginning and avoided running the screens and and hitch routes.  their was nothing that they saw on film that could of indicated that they were athletic enough to run those plays.  but coach jackson will learn. I wish Willis the best in the playoffs.
TSRN was there...that being said.   I think the cubs handle Willis pretty good. Humble got a slow start with a bonehead mistake from our Punt returner when he attempted to return a kick from our endzone...we battled field position the first half...then we took off offensively and defensively. 3 picks, and held the Wildkats to 10 points (43+ average), and 202 yards. (most which came on a prevent defense that we were running at the end of the 1st half). I think its is safe to say that Willis was out athlete'd, and out coached. after a quarter of evaluating them, i didn't see how they could match up with our speed defensively.
We always do... (except when they had Michael Bishop) Looks like we'll be getting Caney Creek, if they beat Porter next week.  The other match ups look like this...  Humble vs Stratford, Montgomery vs Huntsville & Willis vs Waller/Magnolia West
I was kind of hoping that Willis was at least on par with us so we could get a good hard fought battle in to prepare us for the playoffs. Willis however did show us a couple things we needed to work on, which is always good. Id say that their offense is actually pretty good, but the just ran into a buzz saw of a defensive unit.  It will be difficult for any team to put up point against us, so definitely nothing to be ashamed about. Willis has a good bunch of kids there, and Coach Jackson is doing a solid job.  look forward to next year Willis.
Heard from a buddy that the humble Principal was at the district cross country meet and was talking about the in-fighting and jealousies that was going on with the football team now...u know anything about this?
Principle Charles Ned would never say anything of the sort.  That is some major miss information, in fact i would say that the bond in that locker room is the closest i have EVER seen a Humble team.  I am good friends with Charles....trust me when i tell you, that is a bogus.  If it was a Principle, it wasn't THE principle...and if it was said, it was said from an ignorant prospective. Either way.  Humble wins it 41-10.
 5.
What you talking about Willis !!!    ;D :D ;D :D ;D :D :D :D
We get it.... Humble senior night.  Last home game of the season (although we got Summer Creek next week and will be playing there sooo.....)    for all the marbles tomorrow at 2pm.  SHould be fun
 6.
Willis is too hot & cold to make a prediction...by the way they're not MY fans...I live in Louisiana now. I just have friends in the Kingwood area & I used to coach/live in that area.
I am actually hoping for a challenge. I think we will come out on top if we go out and do what we have been doing.
 7.
Here's my take on Willis...they are inconsistent. Having said that, IF their offense doesn't turn the ball over, I really don't see anybody stopping them and i do mean anybody, don't care what district youre from. Turnovers have killed them. Defensively i think they are average at best. Special Teams, again average..they've taken 2 punts back for td's, had 3 kickoffs for td's called back..the team speed is very good. I think TALENT wise, they match up with humble pretty well...I know it's cliche, but whichever team has the fewest turnovers I believe will win...ALOT of people will be at this game, should be fun to watch.
Speak for your fans.  its a Saturday game, and we historically have HORRIBLE saturday game attendence...but hopefully since its an afternoon game we can get more people out there.  Willis is the one that moved it to 2pm, it was originally was slated for 6pm.  Something about getting home too late. Look forward to the game, especially if you say they are as good offensively as you say.  Love for our defense to have a challange. so far...not a single offense has scored more then 17 points on our starters....and after the dobie game...we are averaging right at 8 points a game.  Huntsville would of gone scoreless has it not been for a blown coverage 19 second left in the 4th against our 3rd string DB.  Last game we stuttard offensively, made a lot of mistakes up front on the line and really through us off our game.  But the plus side ot having a well rounded team is that when one unit falls off the other steps up.  Our defense has been playing GREAT. whats your prediction?

I'll take Humble, cuz Willis is to unpredictable.  They look good sometimes, and struggle others.  No mistake about it though...  They are the second best team in 18-4A.
I saw them against Davis i believe...so i couldn't really tell what they had.  Im antcipating a hard fought game...but then again, i was expecting that the last two weeks to no avail.
ya'll need one, IMO.... who do you anticipate meeting up with in the first round?
Stratford.  and i wasn't impressed with them.
You gonna make the Brenham vs Stratford game (thurs) Nov. 4th?
Im going to try to be there....id like to go and see stratford against a good team.  give me an idea of how good they are....Brenham and Humble are very similar defensively....so it will give me an indication

 11. Only seen them once, and it was early. Give me the scoop. I know they have Fred Nixon, but what has this team developed into? Who you got?  Humble or Willis
 12. Officating sucks in Texas anyways. Seriously....this won't change anything... They all suck
 13.
should be a big rivalry game shouldn't it?
Well for them. They have shirts made out and everything....We have 2 rivals.  Kingwood, and Ike.  The rest can fall where they may.
 14.
Huntsville is not the Huntsville of the last couple of years.  With saying that, Humble is a good team and should be.  A 5A program dropped to 4A in a weaker District.  Heres how it will play out Humble Willis KP Huntsville All teams will be one and done.
Their is no way to slice this.  Huntsville at no time during that game was even comprable to Humble....Athletically, Talent, offensively, defensively.  They went into that game thinking that if they "wanted it more" and "hit us hard and fast" we would give them a good game.    no. You have to bring your A game against us, we won't fold cause you "Want it more" or if you "hit us hard and fast".  You will actually have to play football. We are getting better each and every game...and we are starting to come into form.  Offense still needs a little work, but by the time week 10 roles around...we will be ready for who ever 17-4a gives us.
 15. Humble wouldn't be able to see Montgomery until the later rounds.  We beat huntsville therefore win the #1 DI seed.  We get stratford.
 16.
wow, guess they learned the hardway about playing y'all man coverage. Who y'all got next & is every body healthy?
Yeah.  they really did, and the thing is they never adjusted for it.  They just kept asking for more.  We are all healthy, and we face off with K-Park.  A team that i am really having a trouble reading.  thought they were pretty good, but then lost to Caney Creek.  So i don't really know what to think of them.  I want to think they are better then Huntsville, but Huntsville man handled Caney Creek.
 17.
well, I sure was wrong!! 42-7 is NOT what I expected. I went to watch Pearland play, but was amazed when I heard the score. OK HUm398, you mustve been at the game...tell me what happened.
Huntsville was just not good enough to beat us.  We out played them in ever facet of the game, and it was evident that we were just flat out better.  I can't think of anything they really could of done to change the course of that game.  if we lined up and played them 10 times, we would win by a similar margin every time. We scored on the first play from scrimmage because they lined up on us showing man coverage.....why would you line up against a team that is bigger faster and stronger then you in man coverage....they asked us to beat them, and we did. We held them without a first down almost the entire first half...they had maybe 2.  The 2nd half they were able to have a little more success on the ground, and then we put in our reserves late in the 3rd...they scored with like 19 seconds left on the clock on a blown coverage by a 3rd string DB. To be honest, i am not sure what to say?  Is this the best 18-4a has to offer?  I hope Willis gives us more of a challange, they match up a little better athletically...So they take away the Athletic advantage. i was also pretty shocked at how much bigger we were across the board then Huntsville.
 18. Well, That is what i expected, however i didn't really know how good Huntsville was so i didn't say anything. 42-7 Humble. So much for taking it to us Coach Martin....next time, you should keep your mouth shut.
 19.
Yeah, that one caught me off guard. I thought Kingwood Park would be a better team this year than what they've shown. Willis has the skill kids to compete with humble & huntsville, but not sure about everything else.
It will come down to who wants it more.  Humble Willis and Huntsville are by far head and shoulders better then the rest of this district.
 20.
This weekend should be interesting for that district, humble & huntsville play & then I think willis & caney creek play...big weekend for the district teams in the playoff hunt.
Willis should handle Caney Creek.  Just outscore them, and stop #5. That isn't much of a game. Caney Creek is just slow. Kpark didn't really match up well, they weren't athetlic enough to overcome their lack of defensive execution
 21.
yeah, I was impressed with the secondary, the lbs looked pretty good and yeah you're right #19 looked marshmellow soft. I guess his height scares people off, but he is not physical at all.
#19 rotates with #34...who is an upgrade...6'2 220lbs...kids a beast.  Can play linebacker too.
 22.
which one is #50 & which one is #19?
#50 is Paul Boyette.  #19 is Kyndal Hill. Kyndal has been a little dissapointing this year.  he is more of a contain type DE.  They generally run away from him, so in that aspect i guess he is doing alright. our defensive ancors in our front four are #44, and #50. (44 is Zorell Ezell). Id say our best DE is Mark Armstead.  Our LB unit is pretty deep and athletic, We don't really have true starters as we rotate between 3 guys.  #31 Charles woods (5'11 185) # 42 Devonta Smith (6'0 190), and # 26 Greg Bledsoe (6'1 200lbs). Our secondary is  centered around two players, #2 FS Brison Burris (6'0 180) and #24 SS/CB Alphonso Harleston (6'2 190lbs).  The rest of the secondary rotates for fresh legs.  #4 is generally on number 1's, and we have a position we call "CAT" which is played by #10 Cliff Thomas- who is an abouslte head hunter.
 23.
Having watched both i think it'll be a tight ballgame. IMO, Huntsville's Defensive line is the strength of their defense.. From what I've seen they're physical up front and fly to the ball. Offensively, Humble has the edge, kicking game i think is equal, both have good kickers..Huntsville will pooch it more than humble will. I just believe it'll be a close game. Being played at turner stadium sure won't hurt any.
i can buy that.  Although i would argue that our Defensive line is by far biggest strength. I know that Huntsville has a beast of a NG,  but our defensive line is pretty stacked...and deep. Im interested on how they will match up against our D-lline.  DT Paul Boyette and DT Zorell Ezell our easily our strongest pieces on the defensive line.  1 or 2 of them demand a double team.  Especially Boyette.  Kid is 6'3 275 and runs a 4.9.  Zorell is also just a load, he will easily dominate any single blocker.  We also have the Skill players to run with Huntsville.  We won't be out athleted.  Im ready to see how we stack up against a formiable opponent.
 24.
Huntsville is not as good as the last couple of years.  Stop #4 (slot reciever and wildcat guy) and make sure # 80 is covered and your good.  I dont think Humble will have a problem with them.  Ive seen both.
Is #4 Ford?
