Number 2 Silsbee has 322 more students than he lowest enrollment (OF) and 136 more then the second higest (BC)... Could it be said the more students the better the team? Silsbee is 221 less than Lumberton (4A) thats a smaller margin than Silsbee has with OF & HF.. This is what I do at work.. Just stating facts, not trying to say anything about ANY school so don't all smite me at once..

You're right when I was in Jr. High we never won a game, 7th or 8th grade. My senior year we went to the playoffs first time in like 47 years. ;D

Anytime you can make the playoffs you have had a good year.Good luck I agree "Catman" in this day and age but in the old days only the district champion made the playoffs. I do think two teams should make it. When you get to 3 and 4 then it is watered down. I think it should be 3..Bleed, remember a few year ago on the girls side I think it was 2007... WOS was the 3rd place team and they ended up beating Silsbee (the first place team) to go to Regionals...

Speaking of Silsbee Girls...MaxPreps has them at like 0-5, but I don't think that is right. Help me out.

Go look at the thread about BC, I asked if they played any 4A teams too.. It's not JUST Orangefield that I make comments about thats just the only theads you read because its about your team... And trust me I have complained about the girls scheudle a lot! I acually just found something I printed earlier in the season about who the girls were going to play highlighted all the RIDICLOUS games we were going to play...The Orangefield Touny needs to be moved and not be played the same weekend as the YMBL that would help a lot... And acually yes I think pressing HJ would be a very good idea, they are young and may get nervous with a lot of pressure same thing with WOS. When I played we pressed every game no matter what, thats just how I think and thats how I was coached. It is seriously NOT that big of a deal what I think, but thank you both for making me feel like my opinion really matters ;D Merry Christmas to you as well.

Well that's a shocker, I think EVERY team that hosts a tournament does that.

I've been coached by Nos before, and i can assure you that he's not the type of guy who'd get on here for the purpose of reading the ignorant posts of ignorant posters and getting all riled up. i can see how he'd get frustrated, though. he's on here for the same reason that everyone else is... he loves sports! now if during that time he feels obligated to defend a team he coaches who is getting thrown under the bus by many people, i can't say i blame him. as for his time being better spent elsewhere, i'm sure that the same argument can be made for all 10,000 of our members. we're on here because we like the site, not because it's the most productive thing we do all day. Speak for yourself buddy nostradamus I don't care if your a coach or not, what you said was right...but I think MOST people aren't posting on here for to give advice, they are just 'venting' on what they think MAY or MAY NOT be wrong with whoevers team that night.. HJ IS GOING TO BE FINE PEOPLE! write that down ;D

I also left before the game started, I made plans and forgot all about them...still paid 3 dollars for nothing > but while I did sit and watch the JV (the last 2 quarters) play a PARENT of the varsity told me this was going to be the 3rd time WE played Deweyville...and before you get all paniced, I am also aware WE played them in tournaments. So as my original post stated... The JV game was 68-6 or 8... I think this is the 3rd time these two teams have played. So...I was right wasn't I..3rd time..ok thought so... You are VERY welcome, but before you want to call me out by my name on here, I suggest you do the same. I would say judging by your name on here bballgod, and by some of the posts you have made, I know EXCATLY who you are which makes you telling me how things ARE that much better! If you are..which I assume you are.. on this years team then you saw me WORKING the Orangefield Tournament for both the guys and girls side, you also saw me at one of the scrimmages for the guys KEEPING the clock when I just came to watch. Oh I wasn't paid either for any of that. So please believe I bleed Orange Mr. BBALLGOD. Of course I go to the girls game, MY SISTER PLAYS. Why would I miss it to see the guys play? : We still don't press, and I still have a 'problem' with it. I do remember playing East Chambers twice that year (05), first time it was there, second time it was at the BC tournament. We won both...That same 2A team was RANKED and went to the Regional Final only to lose to Kountze, who I believe won state. I am WELL aware of how schedules work, and I am also aware it takes two to tango, thank you for your wonderful insight on it. Do not question MY loyalty to Orangefield and ANY Orangefield program or team...You apparently only know me by my name which you decided to inform everyone of..I'll be waiting for a mesaage to confirm what I already assume on who you are. Last thing, since you love reading what I post so much, why don't you go through and look at all the good..wonderful..aspiring things I have said about this years team..

I'd love to know what you think about Orangefield and Brabers Hill too... I didn't mean to leave Orangefield or BH out of my reply.My observation is more about the validity of the poll than the teams that are in it.I haven't seen O-field or BH play this year but by looking at the records and the strength of schedule I would have to say they probably won't be in the top 20 teams in the state.There are some very good clubs in all classifications when you go statewide.To be a legitimate top 20 club you have to have the 1 dominate game changing player to go to when you need to win the big games at crunch time.I'm just not sure these clubs possess that type player.Are these some of the better teams in SETEX?You bet they are.Are they top 20 teams in the entire state?Probably not,at least in my opinion.You said you wanted the board to liven up a little,this should do it ;) I think if you have a good TEAM, one player won't make you a Top 20 TEAM. That doesn't even make sense. Do I think Orangefield is over ranked? You're dang right I do! Has Orangefield finished ranked in the Top 20 for the last 5 years, sure have! You said something about reputation...No...It's more like tradition...
