  1. You're preaching to the choir - I've already stated I'm pro 2nd amendment and I also own more than one gun,
  2. I'd ask the govt to ban windows - of course.
  3. States with the most gun related homicides Louisiana - R Mississippi - R Alabama - R Missouri - R Maryland - R South Carolina - R Tennessee - R Illinois - D [Hidden Content]
  4. Are you quoting Hershel Walker....... 😄
  5. I read he stole the truck from his grandmother. But also, good point on where he got the money for everything else.
  6. Australia has strict gun laws as does the UK neither of which have a higher crime rate than the US.
  7. The husband of the teacher murdered, just died of a heart attack. They had four kids. 😢
  8. Update - Gunman "was not confronted by anybody" while entering school, Texas official says
  9. Anyone know what Westlake's head coach was makes a year? I worked in that area for years and it's $$$$$.
  10. I actually don't disagree with you - but I do not believe that's main issue. Per TVC I had mentioned this previously. What is the deadliest school attack in United States history? It was almost 100 years ago, in 1927. How many firearms were used? None. A 55 year old man lost a school board election and was angry at the world. He used dynamite and killed 38 children at school. He sat back and waited until rescuers rushed in to help, then he drove a pick up truck loaded with dynamite into the people and detonated that, killing and injuring more. Counting the perpetrator who committed suicide in the explosion, there are 48 dead and 53 injured. It is 101 casualties at a school where no firearms were used. That was in Bath, Michigan.
  11. Who is saying it's your fault? I also am a law abiding gun owner. You're NEVER going to lose your right to bear arms, it's in the constitution. I'm saying and most people are also saying - There has to way to be able to regulate it better than we're doing now. I don't have the answers, but something isn't working because ANOTHER school is being shot up. I'm also trying to research countries (comparable to size with the US) to see their mass shootings vs. their gun laws to compare.
  12. When do you think society went wrong? TVC gave an example of the biggest mass death was in I believe he said 1927.
  13. They'd have to create some type of algorithm that can search for warning signs. They have that now, I said I was going to "burn the house down" auto correct changed bring to burn when I was typing it and I was banned from FB for 5 days. If I say I'm going to kill my grandmother or shoot up a school, I would hope that would trigger something.
  14. Would you be ok with doing social media searches for immigrants trying to enter the US as part of their back ground check?
  15. Those aren't the people going into schools and shooting kids. I'll do some research to see of the 100's of mass shooting this year how many were bought legally vs. buying/getting them from the streets and post what I find.
  16. He posted on Facebook that he was going to shoot and kill his grandmother - he did He posted he was going to shoot the school - he did Could this have stopped had their been a background on his social media? Could have.
  17. No, but as mentioned by someone else - It would help teach people who already have weapons on how to keep them secured and locked away. Also, I could argue it would help stop an assailant because you'd be more accurate.
  18. Agree! But, everyone has to pass a driving test to get a drivers license, but you can purchase a gun without ever handling one. Wrecks still happen, which shootings will also still happen - I agree with TVC on his assessment earlier in the thread - but background checks including social media checks and at least a gun safety/handling class or course IMO could help.
  19. It was on his 18th birthday. “Unfortunately, on his 18th birthday he bought those two assault rifles… It’s the first thing he did when he turned 18,” state senator Ronald Gutierrez told CNN’s Erin Burnett, citing a briefing he received from Texas Rangers. Gutierrez said the guns were bought legally from a federally authorized dealer in the Uvalde area.
  20. I'm a gun owner, but I also know what I'm doing with a gun. It should NOT be as easy as it is to purchase a gun.
