Deweyville had 6 starters out last night vs Groveton. It has been a rough season for Deweyville injury wise. We have a kid playing with a torn hamstring. You do realize the kids they have aren’t slow nor weak.. they have a couple kids that easily run 4.6-4.7’s.. you talk a lot against Deweyville, must be a sore spot for you.

The talent was there for Deweyville this year, but poor playcalling and injuries have plagued them, I don’t think the offense they run is built for this group of kids.

Deweyville also blew WH out in a 4 quarter live scrimmage week before regular season started. Deweyville beat themselves against Evadale, turning over the ball on a scoring drive and big penalties against the Pirates in the redzone costed them. Gonna be a great game tomorrow, hopefully as exciting as the OT game last year.

Deweyville has edged it out the past two years over the bobcats, 22-16 last year and 25-22 the year before. It’s not gonna be a blowout by any team. It will be a dog fight all 4 quarters.

Deweyville played Kountze with their stud runningback. Hull played them with Kountze missing him. Kountze is a whole different ball club since they lost him.

Kid is big, but nothing special that the ol' Pirates can't handle!

Don't get me wrong the kid isn't nothing to overlook, but have you seen the teams Evadale has played this year so far?? lol

I just don't see it panning out like that, Evadale graduated a far better runningback last year and Deweyville held them to only 16 points last year. Evadale is a very well coached team, and I've seen both teams play. Deweyville is far more aggressive on both sides of the ball. I got Red winning by atleast 2 scores.

Deweyville lost last year in a close game 16-13 due to a busted coverage. With Evadale graduating their star QB and RB and Deweyville returning basically all of their offensive and most of their defensive starters, I believe Deweyville will run away with this one, especially coming off a big win over the Kountze Lions. Deweyville has a strong defense in led by a couple seniors, #15, #33 and #5 who should have no problem containing the Evadale offense. #15 has played outstanding at the outside backer position putting up big games the past few weeks and #5 has been known for his coverage and should easily shut down whatever Evadale throws at them. GL to both teams though!

They really only focus their offense around one runningback #42.

Should be a good game tonight, Centerville's stud is coming to Deweyville banged up. 2nd place implications on the line. Who ya got?

I think Groveton has more talent, but the Pirates have a lot of heart and I do believe they have a better team this year. Prouse has really done a number with these boys. Hoping the Pirates shock everyone and pull through this week.
