One of my boys plays at WB and he says that JN is a great, fiery coach who know the game and know how to motivate the kids. Plus he's been in a winning program learning from Stump...so I'm willing to bet that thing are a bit more structured.

Oh yeah...Stump was a great hire...and I'm sure there have been one or two more!

If you recall the offense that Rison installed last season...that was what he was doing at Central when he was the OC...and yes we all know he was an outside of Ozen hire, but he was from within the district! You go ask him yourself and he'll tell you str8 up, he's not a spread guy! He wanted to run the rock! Maybe your perception of the game is a bit skewed but my sources are legit...they include some involved individuals. I'm not saying VY isn't a good guy, I just think they need to look for production vs looking for someone you like!

We didn't stack the box...we played 5 and 6 man pressure...but you are right...we did blitz a bunch...b/c that our MO...we ran an odd scheme meaning we had 3 down linemen and would stem our front to drop a LB. When we played the Brook we stalled out running the Flex, but once we ran the Wishbone; we became another team...utilizing our talents...shoot it seemed our Coaches were trying to fit that square peg in that round hole...good thing those dudes woke up and fixed the issues!

You know, I went back and watched that game again and I wonder what the outcome would have been had they played that game once the Jag offense got to rolling...the defense was strong but the team had changed alot since both teams played after Gustov and before Ike...On WB side, they've been running their scheme for 4 years now...while the Jags on the other hand were still trying to find an identity...let me ask you Westender....who was a more physical team?

True, he is from Odessa, but he's still a young coach looking to make his mark at on 39yrs old! Gotta give it to him...if you make that much money, you better be winning state titles...not just playing in them...winning...this could turn out to be bad news....the pressure is on....GOOD LUCK!

It should be an easy decision! But, this is BMT, sometime you never know which way they're gonna screw it up!
