LCM AD’s needed Female and Male
obcowboy replied to mjones830's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
What you do is have one of your girls coaches be a girls coordinator...that way all you have to create is a stipend instead a whole new job! You have your boys HC who also doubles as AD...that'll work! -
Naw, they were ready for a change! He had just won share of the district title and in 2005 missed the playoffs b/c of a coin toss...they lost faith in ol Coach Burnett! They moved on!
-
Do you really think that's what PA wants...smashmouth...they had that with Charles...if someone like Stowers we to come in, and I say again...IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN...running a similar style of offense as what they did this year @ Central which is what Stowers loves...that would piss every WR off at the school and the fans sure wouldn't understand it, yelling out "Throw the ball more...these coaches are stupid...not much different than what we had here...No doubt PA has athletes...but you do have alot of drama...is this not the barber shop, can we not talk about our issues on here...y'all got issues and guess what so do we!
-
Turning it around is gonna be a problem for anyone! Those kids have to let go of them streets! Whoever they get is gonna have to fight his but off to win there and XBOX won't be retained as OC...even though he didn't call plays this year....expect a more balanced attack from the Titans next year regardless of who comes in! But you can bank on it...STOWERS WILL NOT BE GOING TO PA...THAT'S A BET! 8)

Name dropping a bit aren't cha!

That's a whole lotta BS...why would you make that comment! You want stats...here you go: Branden Thomas CB....42 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, 2 ints Jeffery Thomas CB...33 total tackles, 15 PBU's, 6 ints William Jones MLB.....82 total tackles, 4 sacks, 7 TFL, 2 ints just to name a few...got a whole lotta more for you!
-
From what I understand Coaches also nominate then the sports writers look at stats and make the call! If you've a team from out of nowhere...not getting any pub till the last minute...no matter how far you go...u won't get any love! Does Grogan from Ned get any consideration...or was he a one hit wonder!
-
You also have to show love to Hanna and Beard from Lumberton...I can't believe I'm saying this! ??? Maybe not 1st team for both...but you could not say both!

Coach Stowers PA News Super Team Coach Of The Year

I know its not likely but 0% huh? If the money was compareable: * he doesn't have to compete with the 2 other BISD HS's * has better now but in the future equivalent facilities that he wouldn't have to share with the 2 other schools * playing all his district games within 30 miles of his home instead of travelling to Houston every other week * playing in front of at least 8,000 per night instead of 1000. Yeah Id say the odds are right there at 0%, who'd want that crap job in Port Neches anyway??? Stump is a former college guy...that wouldn't even be a lateral move...not knocking you, but it would have to be a step backwards! This dude is on top right now! To look at what he's done at WB and then put him at PN-G just wouldn't make sense! You need a young guy hoping to move up or another older guy looking to retire soon but has enuff juice left him in to bring the Indians back to dominance! depends on what he wants for himself and his family. If he enjoys coaching at the HS level and wants to root his family in SETX theres no way the PNG job is "a step back" from West Brook. If his ultimate desire is to move up through the ranks as high as he can get not worrying about where he ends up or how long he stays, then yes stay at the 5A job....but hes already been a "college guy" and came back close to home to coach at Kelly, something to think about. Good Point...maybe Stump wants security and stability! He could easily go to the Rez and Coach for many years even though it would be a drop in talents...however it is a one horse town!

Coach Stowers PA News Super Team Coach Of The Year
obcowboy replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
I think they are referring, again, to the teams and areas that they service...while K'ville is still nearby, correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think they fall under their coverage or service area! -
Coach Stowers PA News Super Team Coach Of The Year

Last season, the Mid-County teams had a great season while the BMT teams besides WB didn't! This year you have Central and WB and from MC...you're only looking at the NED! -
Not trying to change anyones opinion...just stating my own! I know that the call had to be made and I comend the refs for making that call and sticking with it! Yes, a missed call is really something to applaude...NOT!!! Instant replay rule for high school ball is just around the corner! 8) No Freakin way...not all schools have the opportunity to play in stadiums that have a jumbotron...it won't happen, b/c if you do it for some then you do it for all...those refs aren't the same as college refs and NFL refs who make a living doing these games...their professionals...the refs we get are your everyday around the mill kinda guys...although I remember when there was a school board member from Nederland who would ref there games!

Cowboy, dav-j must not be from Beaumont or just hates that the Jags went farther then his team who ever they are. Sorry, but you're wrong on both - From Beaumont - Still live in Beaumont - and am no hater. Just scrathing my head over the headline on a very close call. It's not a blatant bad call if you have to rewind in Slo-Mo and still flip flop. - Come on - Geesh!!! I felt it made Stowers look a little petty and a great coach, that has done such a tremendous job, does not deserve this. I feel it was more the reporter and fans who were looking to find fault. I don't feel this was front page material. That's all. jmo Besides - be happy - It just snowed. Go make a snowman. who wouldn't be pissed over the call...but Stowers is entitled to his opinion on the matter and it seems like people still want to talk about it...it's good! Stay away from the yellow snow...it ain't lemon ice!
-
You say Potatoe...I say PoTaTOE!....You should say it wasn't a fumble...I believe that it was...I watched the slow mo too...it was a great game that no one will change but in my opinion, Co Stowers opinion, and Co Jackson's opinion...it was a fumble b/c he lost possesion of the ball b4 he fell...go back and look at it from that point of view and tell me if you can't see what I'm saying!

Historic Playoff Run Over For Central
obcowboy replied to KFDM COOP's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Dude, you're not serious...are you? ??? We've been running out of out Two TE set since Nederland and have been pretty darn good with it! I know you're just being a fan and stating you opinion, but we manhandled them up front! They were making shoestring tackles and even late in the game they were finding ways to make plays...which is what a good team should do! Our problem seemed to be depth or the lack of it at certain positions...CT #9 barely plays b/c of the flu...DM #9 sprains his ankle...TH #52 pulls a muscle in his back during the first drive and he's a major part of the succress of the line!....well needless to say we had our opportunties to get it done and we didn't! They started to force us to run up the middle and with our #1 FB out...we had to got w/ the bigger and not as quick guy who did quite well going both ways! Real simple OB, with the 2 TE set you allow the defense to keep 11 in the box which at least 2 will go unblocked on every play. Central ran the ball better out of the 2 WR/Wishbone set which F'wood had to at least play man with the Corners and keep if not 1 but both Safeties back. They just got too conservative IMO considering this is a win or go home situation. The one trick play that was tried was a bust from the get go. No doubt about that...I screaming for a QB throwback...man he was wide open...but as far leaving two unblocked you're right...two on the back side...if a backside dudes catches you the play took too long. They had it set up for the FB and playside SB to pick up the overhang guy and the first threat inside...putting our back one on one with the safety...which I'll take anytime!
