  1. I also think it will be E.C. second hole but I think E.C. will handle Newton easily.
  2. EC will be better than OK,Carington and Raymond will be a force to deal with,I have also seen the the Hallmark kid under center. Those 3 with Ortiz in the backfield will have speed to burn.Big,fast, strong and tough .2 of them are 6'3" and the other 2 are 6'1".This may end up being one of the best backfields in SETX. next year.Depth like this @ the 2a level should give them a step up.TT will still be greatly missed, good luck in Hog land. TT wil be more than missed. and so will Vance. they will be an average or a little above average team. Raymond and carrington are good, but will not be able to lead the team as tremain did. and what will they have on defense??? Safety?(tt gone) LB? (tramell and trevino gone) DE? (Mcdonald gone) those are the only playmakers i saw on EC this year on the defensive side. Hallmark and Ortiz were both big timers on defense but you are right our defense doesnt appear to have the depth this coming year that it had last year. One factor that no one is considering is our O-Line last year we had what 3 or 4 sophmores starting on O-Line their going to have a lot of experience coming up this year as Juniors. I think its gonna take a great D-Line to trouble those guys.
  3. To me it seems that T. Thomas is the main candidate at getting it on defense. Any1 agree?
  4. I just don't think e.c. Will break the tradition with the Carrington Raymond duo. I've heard rumor that Raymond will be under center.
  5. i just hope that he has grown a pair and will at least be man enough to tell the truth whether it be that hes innocent or hes guilty grow a pair roger grow a pair
  6. thanx big guy my karma might be low but that boosted my morale
  7. dang i was hopin sombody thought one of my posts had positively contributed to the topic ;D as for the you think part note that i said it suggests that doesnt mean thats how he meant for it to sound thats just how it came across.
  8. Weed, Great post and I agree with a lot of it and the rest was some terrific BS ! everyone that post should be equal thats the point ! the bolded part suggests that the individual feels there is favoritism shown by the moderators
  9. Weed, Great post and I agree with a lot of it and the rest was some terrific BS ! everyone that post should be equal thats the point ! now your implying that the mods r out to get one or more people who use this site more than others and i cant disagree more it would be insane for all of the junk people post on here to fly. believe it or not coaches refs and more importantly PLAYERS get on this site and shouldnt be subjected to the slander that people comonly post on here
  10. Very simple if backcourt fouls are not called, kountze will win big. If called it will be a good game between two good teams. I still cannot understand how a team that presses and traps can get less fouls. Sorry, it's fundemental, expected and should be part of the game. I don't expect you to understand obviously it's not part of the game you grew up with. : OK just get prepared to be dominated Kountze wins by 38 just cause Warren actually thinks that their good first time ive agreed with u Mr. Whizzle ;D

I don't expect you to understand obviously it's not part of the game you grew up with. why dont we consider the fact that the kountze players have ALL been doing the same press since 7th grade and eventually learned a little finess and simply dont foul as much as you want to believe they do.
  12. So can anyone explain why when E.C. and Kountze get outside of E.C. and Kountze they are able to excel if the only reason they win at their respective home courts is because of the refs?
  13. I predicted my team will win a state championship. There you go again ;D But they wont :'( Oh and the mispell was a typo GENIUS 8) not to beat a dead horse but i believe genius=geniOus
  14. The first game against kountze he was 14 of 14 so that makes up for the one game u saw him miss 5 of 19 which would be somthing to brag about not sure how you can talk down on stats like that.
  15. I have to support DickVitale because a lot of the points he says make a lot of sense. Now I don't know J'covan (have heard of him, but never seen him play) so I can't make the comparison, but let's take Texas' D.J. Augustin. He is basically the same size as TT (Augustin is 6'0", 180lbs). Someone said "he could handle the point in D1 just fine." Now comparing TT to DJAug, no comparison (even as a freshman)...DJ is one of the absolute best points I have ever seen and TT can't pass as well nor dribble as well. TT is probably just as smart as DJ, but shooting-wise...no go. Free throws are inconsistent for both, but I still give the edge to DJ. Defense is probably a toss-up, as DJ is probably a little quicker, but TT can jump. Now this is probably not a fair comparison, but that is what you would get if he was to play high D-1 basketball (someone brought up Dugat...he is a very good player that played at a 4a school and just happpened to play football too. I could have told you years ago that Dugat would do better in basketball than football, just as I am saying that TT will do better in football than basketball. So I would agree with DickVitale if he was to play mid-major like Southland Conference, he would do ok. Not a diss on his BB skills, however, I am in awe of his FB skills...certainly more impressive than BB, I mean, what did he get like 12 INTs? U must be confused about the free throw thing pretty sure 95 to %100 is about as consistent as it gets
  16. Man dickey apparentley these clowns don't understand your basketball genious. They'll all learn eventually I guess ;D
  17. Congrats Truck
  18. I'll have to agree to disagree Lumberton had some football fans this year because they had a decent team. In years past I remember being at football games in Lumberton when the crowd leaves after the band performance at half time.
  19. Anyone think he has the ability? Talentwise? Size?
  20. I think year in and out we have two of the toughest teams in the state but after that no consistency or strong teams.
  21. Oldman, you're debating someone who has an inflated opinion of how good BH really was over the last few years. BH had SOME success since '99, but they really were only a modestly good team over that span. They gave a great effort in the playoff loss to Beaumont Central, and many were surprised that BH took them to the wire, but talent eventually won that game. BH followers should have been impressed with what Price and his staff brought to that game. The Kirbyville losses (at least ONE of them) could have gone either way. BH has not established themselves as a program (at least not yet) that has the personnel to be at or near the top of their district EVERY year, but somehow in the minds of these two armchair QBs they just can't believe it. Keep in mind, BHFAN and bh89-2 did not play football, but they are the "experts" behind the keyboard. If Price is a finalist for the Lake Travis job, which is an attractive job that many have applied for, then that speaks a high compliment for the man. Griff I don't know where you get your info. , but again you are dead wrong Myself and BH-89 Have played football unlike yourself! Just keep preaching on the radio and leave the discussions to us ;D You speak of having an inflated opinion of your team while you think WOS is going to state every year when in reality they can't get out of the region and probably never will ;D You know NOTHING about BH all someone had to do is read your last post! how can you say he knows nothing when in reality he realizes BH has NO talent and Price is still putting together legitimate teams. Your getting pretty ridiculous.
  22. off subject of course but game of the year for me will be Newton beating Kirbyville
  23. This is their remaining schedule: 2/5 @ Warren; 61-57 win first meeting 2/8 Anahuac; 60-57 win first meeting 2/12 Deweyville; 83-74 win in 2OT first meeting It came down to the last minutes for Hardin to beat each of these teams in their first games. Warren is a hard place to win, and Anahuac is no pushover. I think they drop the game on the road against Warren Tuesday. hope ur rite it will put e.c. that much closer to the first place seed but i'd prefer e.c. be second i think that by week means a lot
