I'm sorry, but Schooling is one of the best pitchers in the area. If I am correct, I believe that Treece and Stringer have lost games also. This was a tough district for all the pitchers and they all did a great job. So along with Treece and Stringer, Schooling should be right in there with them.

Wishing this young man a speedy recovery. Our prayers from Silsbee are with you.

To my Tigers, you all had a great season and need to hold your heads high. You all make Silsbee very proud. Best of luck to the Seniors, Rocky, Colby & Joel. District 21-3A is blessed to have the quality of pitchers that we do in this district. Not only do we have the ones listed above but there are many others that deserve recognition, ie. McDonald - Silsbee; Parsons & Ellis - Jasper; Vietch - WOS; Statum - OF to name a few more & I apologize for not knowing some of the pitchers from the other schools. I think they all deserve a great big pat on the back for giving us all a great & exciting baseball season (and we still have a week left) and I wish them all the best of luck.

I really don't think that any win is really a "shock"; it's just a matter of who wants it the most. The teams are close enough in talent that an error or two, a bad Coaching decision, a couple of hits in a row-- can win any of the games at hand. Congratulations to all the teams in a fine District setting--most all of you would walk away with a District Championship in most 3A Districts across the state.

May I ask what does the type of car that Joel Schooling drives have to do with him as a baseball player? Obviously, you do not know Joel, because if you did, you would know that the type of car he drives is not his top priority. To give you a little insight Morgan, the car was a gift to Joel by his grandparents and he is very proud to drive it. Maybe you should take a lesson from Joel and learn what being humble is about and being appreciative of the things that you are given. One thing I can bet on, that you could not hold a candle or a baseball for that matter like Joel does and I could bet you are not a person like Joel who has a great respect for the game of baseball. So, instead of downing someone for the type of car he drives, maybe you should get to know the person. That car hopefully will take him thru his college years and just think, Morgan, maybe one day when he makes it to the big leagues, maybe he will give you that little Cobalt.
