I agree with shs85.. The Coaching Staff has done a great job...just look at the product - Trawhon has been with Silsbee three years - year before last the team made the playoffs & of course last year, a District Championship. I think they know what they are doing and have the right players where they are suppose to be. Silsbee has one of the top coaching staffs in all of this area, no question about that.

Silsbee won again today -- 4-3 over Rogers. Brandon Walcott with a winning homerun. Schooling with the win. They play again tonight @ 6:30 I believe in the Championship Game.

Great Game. Both teams looked very impressive.

Everyone, no matter who they are, has an off night and this night happened to be Silsbee's - but they will come back strong. Also, not trying to make excuses, but the Tigers have had a lot of sick players out with the flu, etc. They will be strong when it is time to play for real.

The Tigers are going to be tough to beat this year. Joel Schooling has been having an awesome off season, playing summer and fall ball with The Big Timers Club. He has had the chance to play at some premier baseball fields including Blinn College, San Jacinto & Lamar. He has been selected to play with the Big Timers Elite Showcase Team that will be coached by Sam Moore & Stephen Westbrook. Joel is getting a lot stronger and I think will be hard to hit off of this coming high school season. Other Tigers have also been keeping in shape playing summer & fall ball - Rocky Calhoun, Kevin McDonald, Josh Skinner, Nick Walters & Chase Kelly. So, the Tigers are going to ready to play ball. Can't wait for it to get here.
