I have read where many HJ followers have congradulated Silsbee for a great game (good HJ fans do that). All you need to do is just review the post!! Several post from HJ fans said they even gave Silsbee the edge with Trey hurt. So I guess HJ fans think highly of Silsbee as a team!! While "every area" may have a few people that can't handle a win any better than they can handle a loss is sad. But that is the reality we deal with. Bullet13--Let it go--You can't win this type of battle. Let Silsbee have their moment. Congrats Silsbee, I didn't see the game (was at the girls game) but heard ya'll played great!!

Congrats HJ. This was the best the HJ girls have looked since the first of the year. Hope it continues. KB was awesome. AG for Silsbee is a very special player. Good luck to both teams from here on out.

thanks shackbully.......thats what i was trying to say.... we beat them bad and we didn't beat OF that bad so i thought OF would come out on top with a huge margin....but good point about the HJ vs WOS game....they came ready to play and gave us a scare HJ probably beat BC so bad because Bridge City gave up at the end of the first quarter.. You may be right, although the BC players I watched seem to work hard the whole game at HJ. Anyway, if giving up was an issue at HJ and not at OF --good for BC for turning it around.

Best case scenario is that there are no suspensions for Silsbee players. I've got a brainstorm, Let's postpone the game until all players from both teams are there, Burrell for HJ and any Silsbee player who might be reprimanded from Friday nites game. I don't think anyone wants to see this game played shorthanded by either team. We've waited too long for this game to happen!!!

I know for a fact that Michael Jordon would call Coach Sutherland on a regular basis. Who do you think taught Jordon that fade-away jumper. He also taught Wilt how to be 7 ft. tall. Before Spud Webb called Sutherland he couldn't jump out of a chair. When Sutherland was finished with him he won a slam dunk contest. He taught Rudy T. how to fight, although he never had the chance to teach him how to duck. I know this because I held the bucket in his corner every time he would spit. I was over Sutherlands house cooking one night and Olajuwon called for pointers. After a long talk with Coach Sutherland I heard the next night Hakeem did something they called the Shake and Bake. I also think Coach Sutherland is the head designer for the Hecklers wardrobe. Is there anything this man can't do?? Oh, I vote for Coach Sutherland

HJ's defense is still great. If HJ's offense is clicking HJ by 15. If not it will be anybodies game!! Bottom line--It will be a great game!!!

I understand why hjsc asked the question. HJ beat BC by 69 and most HJ people consider OF very good. Just thought the score would have been more in favor of OF. Not saying BC can't have their day. But we also found out not all games are played out like you think they will (HJ vs WOS). Congrats OF on the win..

Great turnaround from WOS game. Need to keep it going!!!

All I can say is poor execution the whole game. WOS played hard and made it close. HJ missed easy shots all nite. Probably 20 unforced turnovers. Trey being injured and not playing may be part of it. Players adjusting to new rolls may be some of it too, but we missed open shot after open shot. I'm sure it was a one night thing. At least it better be because HJ's schedule is getting ready to get tuff!!!

Bobcat05, you and some others fell into a hornets nest on this thread. They should have supplied you with a crystal ball first.

I witnessed the same game with PoppaBearstarr and it was bad. The kids from both teams were so confused. And both coach's were beside themselves. If you are getting paid to ref (especially High School Varsity level) you should be respectable at what you are doing.

I talked with his dad Friday. The Dr. did not wire his jaw but he has to treat it like it is wired. No chewing etc. I'm sure because of his work ethic when he does get released he will be ready to take up where he left off.

I am going with Trey Burrell from HJ. He can do it all. He can defense the best guards in the area like a glove, he drives to the basket like a power forward and can dunk with the best of them. And when he is feeling it, pops in the three. Tenacious on the press. Has to be one of the best all-round and athletic players in the area. His numbers do not stick out like some of the others because of his team first attitude.

I've read alot of post on this matter and it seems that most have a common opinion on this. "The idiot"!! Everyone has them? Right? Then why are we allowing these idiots to ruin the game for everyone else. There are policies in place for behavior and language on school property--period. Are we saying our kids should follow them but we as parents can do what we want at school events? I think we have abused these policies for so long we are now saying you need to sit here or there so I can break these policies without offending the other teams fans. I'm not saying you can't question a call. That's your right. Everyone does that. Everyone expects different teams and their fans to see calls from a different view. That's o.k. But when people put themselves above the school policy is where you have trouble. When a parent is being abusive in nature he should be escorted from the gym and he should be barred for the remainder of that season at all gyms. That includes profanity and/or direct comments to a player on the other team or comments about a player on the other team. Maybe the loud mouths will shut up on the profanity and cute remarks and the event becomes a controlled school function again. As much as some fans would like to disagree, the game is for the school, the players and it's student body. Fans and parents are down on the list!! The school allows you to watch your kids play. And they can stop that privilege anytime they choose.

Of course not having Trey will hurt, but there are other's to take up the slack. His absence will be a point difference concern, but I'm not sure it will be a game difference concern. Most of HJ's non starters would easily start for other teams. Still, the Tigers are talented and playing at home. HJ by 7 and could be closer.
