My favorite place, due to lack of play offs appearance numbers, is anywhere L-Town is on one of the sidelines. Especially with the local support we had last year, I think we might could've made a run at PNG's numbers with a place like the dome.

I dunno, the speed that Vidor came out with in the second half against L-Town looked almost like a whole new team showed up. I think Big Ned is going to be shocked that Vidor actually has something up their sleeve, they may not be as fast as Central or Livingston but they sure would be breathing down their collective backs.

Wow, all season long so far, we haven''t heard much at all from Livingston fans and finally............boy did you come out swinging, way to go. It's about time we heard smack from the new kids on the block.

I dont post much anymore, but this is kind of an ignorant, arrogant post.. I am not here to debate what will happen in the Ned/Lum game, because frankly Nederland's defense is ugly, and I havent seen Lumberton this year... But to say that Lumberton has the best chance of doing anything in the playoffs is pretty ignorant in my opinion.. Livingston has proven it can put up big numbers, Central has proven to grind the ball out and play good smashmouth football and also keep a very talented Nederland offense to 10 points, Nederland has put up huge offensive numbers this year and has proven their ability to score lots of points quickly... I think all of these teams have a great chance of going far in the playoffs... Not just Lumberton, who has gone to the playoffs one year... who's fans think the "L-Train" (whatever that is) is God's gift to High School Football... and who's stadium announcer has NO class whatsoever... making fun of high school athletes on the field is completely unprofessional... act like youve been there before even though you havent.... He thinks tact is something you put in the wall... on a side note... as far as central goes (and livingston), I was very impressed with the level of athleticism in these teams.. If you combined that kind of talent with Nederland coaching, you'd have a state team... Not to say that Nederland doesnt have talent, but on a whole, I think Nederland lacks in really big or really fast athletes... always have... but coaching.... Undeniably Nederland has the best in the area.... Are the bolded statements supposed to go together? If so you haven't paid much attention to the Lumberton announcer, he makes a point of trying to recognize both teams. I don't care much for the job he does, just needs more experience I guess, but I'll give him the fact that he does recognize and try to pump up both teams' fans. In fact that's one thing I've heard a few fans complain about, they feel he should be MORE biased toward Lumberton. I don't hear other school announcers telling the fans on both sides to get up and cheer for their teams at the kick off.

In Lumberton you not only have the one Junior High situation, but the football program goes all the way literally to the little league level. Lumbertons' little league footballers play the same formations and plays as the Varsity. If a kid grows up playing football in Lumberton now, when he gets to high school, he is working more on the finesse then learning the plays. If i'm not mistaken, this is what happens in Orange too, with the young ones going into WOS.

WOW, talk about your haters!!! I've read a lot of junk on this sight but this rates right up there at the top. I gotta agree with you LHS, I mean dayammm, this dude has a serious problem with Veedor-ville. I think the pee-rats have a real chance at this one.

LUMBERTONS announcer is just a flammin IDIOT!!!!! And we are GLAD to have him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought PNG's announcer sounded alot like Marcus Bowman, Lumberton's announcer for so many years. He did make a few glaring mistakes, wrong downs, saying the quarter was over with over 5 minutes left, etc. Only way to correct that might be to give him an assistant to pass on information. As far as Lumberton's announcer, there are alot of things he could do differently, like not copy other schools catch phrases ( another Raider "first down"), he still seems inexperienced to me, although I think he has been here 3 or 4 years.

NDN, I'm thinking you feel like Big Ned is gonna take L-Town down the final game. If they don't Lumberton has the tie breaker on both of these teams, so this probably won't be for district champ, although the winner is surely guaranteed a playoff spot. I think Central will take this game, I imagine Livingston has improved since we played them, but they seem more like a mirror image of Nederland, all offense and no defense. I think Central will contain them just like they did Nederland and take this one by around 10 points. Don't look for any 50 point game.

I hope they sit these gusy adn let them rest, but I say L-Town 35 LCM 7.

I thought the stadium looked top notched considering it's not quite done. I would have done one thing different though, I think it would have looked better to put PNG in big wide letters in the end zones and put an Indian head in the center or maybe the end zones like they are, and indian head in the center and PNG along the sidelines at the 50. Just my opinion.

I like this order, but 'm afraid that if the coach can't manage to rest Beard and Hannah this coming week and get the rest of the team to step up and take care of LCM, then Nederland may actually bring us down a notch. Beard is only going to be able to shake off those injuries for so long. With rest, as Soulja calls it, without rest: 1. Central 2. Livingston 3. Vidor (due to the tiebreaker) 4. Lumberton (due to tie breaker between us and Nederland)

Seems to be a pattern here, maybe Lumberton should take bids on which team it plays first in district so they can get a guarantee to the post season, how about it Vidor, want to lose to us first so you can win out the rest of the season........lol

Actually if the Indinas try and antagonize the fans like Ozen did, I predict L-Town will pull it out.....oh wait, they did and we did.......lol I still think L-Town should've played much better, gotta work on passing for sure.
