Well when I was in school which was not very long ago. Everytime we BEAT Lumberton which was every year there was no fans to be seen or heard of on the Lumberton side whether it was in Lumberton or Vidor. That being said the referees in EVERY level of football are terrible this year. I really can't speak for Peewee cause I havent watched that in MANY years.. Apparetly you wore blinders when you were in school PF, I've lived nearly my whole life in Lumberton, since before it was Lumberton, in my memory L-Town has always had a great fan base, winning or losing, the stands were always full or at least near full.

Uh Coop, did channel 6 film a different game? If my memory serves me right, our first drive stalled and we missed the 3 pointer, the Indians actually struck first in the game.

good post old timer, we need to let some of our boys heal. More specifically Beard, Hanna, and Howden. You never want to take your next opponent lightly. However, we could dress them and HOPEFULLY not use them. My thoughts too.

It's a tradition thing, if Nederland or PNG start district with wins, they are practically crowned champion even if their first games are against the weaker district teams, Central is almost to that point too. Whereas, the rest of us pretty much have to win out the entire season before we are considered champs. It's just how it is... Its good that only you feel that that we have 'tradition'. You like it, I love it. : : Of course you guys have tradition, going all the way back to the buffs, unlike the poser Beaumont team, who in their first varsity season, made it into the playoffs in spite of losing to Lumberton and having a worse record.............still haven't figured that one out. ??? Not trying to start a fight there...lol

I'm on the Central side on this one. I just want to ask one thing though, keep the updates more up to date on this game, it's hard keeping track on my blackberry if you guys don't keep posting.

I agree with your assessment. I think Vidor as the edge at this point. Isn't the game being played in Vidor? Thanks goodness L-Town has LCM next week.

Don't understand why anyone would say L-town played a good game tonight, we got out barely with the skin on our teeth. I would suggest that the coach sit both Beard and Hannah out next week and let them heal. Beard is definitely a beast considering he went down twice and still came back out. The boys didn't play the best they've played, in fact I think this was actually the worst. PNG on the other hand came out prepared and nearly took it to us. Fortunately we came through, but that could've easily gone the other way tonight. Buck up and do better next week boys, give the big guns some rest too, we're gonna have our hands full with that Nederland O. Next week might also be a real good time to practice the passing game, maybe try going 60/40 on passing, otherwise we're going to be in real trouble in the post season.

From what I see in the paper, Central has a weapon to play against Jefferson.......hmm funny, his name is Jefferson too?!?!?!

Yes you can blame it on coaching sometimes ,,,,,,,especially since there offense only has about 3 or 4 plays that they run....not to hard for other teams to get prepared for .....but on the other hand the offense has had 17 or more turnovers this year that has resulted in points.........I think that the coaches bought a whole case of super glue and png turns the season around and wins out............ 22 district championships 13 regional championships 6 appearances - state championship game 3 time state champions All time Highest attendance record - 1977 49,953 Texas Stadium Before you turn the lights out on the coach and the team, look where Nederland was last year. Did they get rid of Nueman, nope, and this year they are right back in it. Every team has an off year, if they don't, you can bet there's something going on that isn't on the up and up like gouging are punching in the pile ups anyone ever heard rupmors of local teams doing that?

Everybody has to start somewhere!! We are in THIS season. What season are you in? Actually, L-Town has had numerous "winning" (over .500) seasons, they've just never led up to the playoffs like last year, or (with fingers crossed) this year is headed.
