LCM and Vidor Co District Champs if both teams wins
raideroldtimer replied to Stangfan#1's topic in High School Football
I'm curious, were the same guys out for the Lumberton game or did you guys have some or all of them back? -
If you look on the visitor side Friday night on that platform at the end of the bleachers, you'll probably notice an old bald guy sitting on his walker watching the game. I'll be the one with the oxygen hose in his nose.🤪
-
I can but I sound like I just ran a full marathon when I do. I have pulmonary fibrosis and I'm waiting to get a lung transplant. Spent most of last season in the hospital.
-
I'm going a bit early for parking purposes. Fridays are for concession stand food for me. Just hope next year ours gets back to normal although the funnel cakes last week were a nice surprise, said the diabetic who really shouldn't eat that stuff.😂

Parking is tight, Vidor has some of the worst parking in the area for football which is odd considering they spen so many years as one of the biggest schools in the area. Only one worse in our district is Livingston.

I'm hoping LCM gets in a trap game, Splendora deserves a district win. Then whoever (Lumberton) wins the Lumberton v. Vidor game wins the district title outright. -
I think alot of it has to do with the coaches getting the boys some exposure to scouts.
-
Yeah, she knows right where the pay phone is if she can't get a signal to call the UIL.....(sorry, had too)😂🤪🤣
-
They were pulling your chain Gronk. Vidor has been running Slot T so long noone remembers what they used to run. In fact I'm pretty sure when the pass was invented the Vidor coach said it was just a fad and wouldn't last.🤪

For the season and district play Lumberton and Vidors point totals are not that far off. Lumberton PF- Season 281/9 games=31.2 avg. District 136/4 games=34 avg. PA- Season 159/9 =17.7 avg. District 62/4 =15.5 avg. Vidor PF- Season 228/8 games=28.5 avg. District 106/4 games=26.5 avg. PA- Season 143/8 =17.9 avg. District 52/4 =13 avg. Lumberton has a slight edge during district on a points for average while Vidor has a slight edge on points against average against the same teams.

Another reason our boys are being given a flea bath before they come over there.😂 Well, except maybe the receivers, those fleas may help them jump higher so they can get their hands on those overthrown balls.🤣
-
I tell you what, if our QB gets a little more accurate on those long bombs he's got an arm. He just tends to lead the receiver a little too much.
-
I'm not sure this is true HC. While Vidor has some good key offensive guys out and I'm guessing one or two of their defense, these boys are still going to bring it hard and try and get us off the field as quickly as possible. We are due for a win against them though, it's been a little while.
-
You could say that would be the upset of the year.
-
Cougtalk is just feeling his oats because they won their Powder Puff district.
-
🙏🙏🙏
-
I guess whoever wins has to face either Lindale or Kilgoe for Bi-District deoending on who wins in their game. Lumberton wins and Vidor is number 4 see, Vidor wins and Lumberton is number 3 seed.

Just too funny not to steal.
-
LOL, just realized, that's supposed to say "Marching to the beat of his own drum".
-
At least he don't play drums because if he did he would be "Marching to his own drum".🤪😂
-
You're right, I worded it wrong.🤪
-
A chop block is legal as long is it is not 5 yards beyond the line of s crimmage.
-
Actually the Raiders need to learn how to get over those blocks. A good hard push straight down on your opponent will shut down the chop or low block. Use their own momentum.
