This is such a bad precedent. If athletes are going to start getting paid then they should pay for their education, end athletic scholarships. Otherwise, they need to remain amatuers until they are finished with college.

My point is alot of people are talking about us playing schools in lower districts while saying nothing about 5a doing the same with 4a. It's all the same, a bigger school vs. a smaller school.

Uhh, don't y'all play West Orange or Jasper most every year? Pretty sure they are a smaller school, of course they tend to hand your butts to you most of the time too.

Buna is killing themselves with penalties. Lumberton is playing decent but I kind of feel the lead should be bigger than it is.

Unfortunately, being a pre-season game, coaches are not going to want to risk their players health on a game that means nothing in the standings. As far as state rankings go, I've always felt they most often lean toward historically tough teams giving them numbers that don't always fit where newer winners have a harder time climbing the ranks.

Unfortunately, I even picked us to lose this game for some reason, but the difference between Lumberton, Vidor and Barbers Hill is people expect Lumberton to lose.

It's ashamed when schools don't want as many of their students to participate in extra-curricular activities as possible. Maybe they should use that rule on PNG with Cherokee.😂

I think I'm going to start a petition and go before the school board. I think it's high time we change the Lumberton Raiders name to the Lumberton Red Headed Step Children. I mean, y'all just ain't happy unless they are getting beat.

I would say that might say something about you being at the games RG, except I consider you a super fan when it comes to Lumberton. I'm looking forward to seeing how they do this year as long as I can stay out of the hospital. Let's go Raiders.

My prayers for Tood, may he rest in peace and may Gods' comfort touch his family with love. Todd in my opinion has pretty much been the backbone of this site ever since I've been on here. May God give him the rest he deserves in his new home in Heaven.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Lumberotn hangs with East Chambers. They are a very good team and maybe we can see how well our new coach is going to handle the competition around here.

Funny how one team gets a new AD (LCM) and they wil be much immproved while another team gets a new AD (Lumberton) and they are picked to be last in district. Oh well, Dave Campbell is usually wrong anyway.
