Lumberton needds to take care of hte penalties and turnovers then they will be okay. Should have won last Friday but Coldspring was able to capitalize on their two interceptions, one if which looked like a JJ Watt interception when the boy reached up and snagged the ball out of the air and ran right into the endzone from less than 10 yeads away. The penalties were enough to make someone shake their head and wonder what the heck was going on. I will say this to anyone playing Coldspring, just have a Middle Lineback watch their two running back and go after the first one that stands up, that's where the ball is going.

I don't know what I'll do if we can't go to their games. I only like the amatuer level and minor level sports. I prefer to see games with mistakes made and overcome, pro sports bores me.

You've got to admire guys like that. That takes an incredible amount of energy to dance like that.

LOL, the last time it shows that Vidor got into the playoffs was in 1964. I will give you guys this, you made it to the Semi-Finals one game away from state. Pretty nice except that back then the Semi finals was only the 3 games deep, otherwise known as the Regionals nowadays same depth Lumberton has made..

Way back in the day, one of the funnest rivalries in my opinion was Charleton-Pollard vs. Hebert. It was always a good game held at Lamar because the High School stadium wasn't big enough and it featured easily the best half time show in Southeast Texas My dad refereed the game a few time and my family would go with him to watch. Always exciting. I miss those days.

Keep in mind, the first two times we made the playoffs, yes it was 4A but that was the same 4Adistrict that became 5A a year or two later. We were playing against PNG, Nederland, Dayton when they were hot, Vidor, GCM (not good then) and Baytown Lee. It was shortly after that when the classifications were reassigned as well as before the division 1 and 2 splits. The first year we went 3 deep.

I can understand why he does this even though I wouldn't like it if I was on the other side. He's right, if he holds his team back after they build a big lead they will never gain the stamina to play a whole game. This gives them the chance to win the ultimate goal, a state championship which every football player in high school wants to accomplish that feat.

You left off Hannah who took over the RB spot after Hussey graduated.

Yes but last year they lost in the first game, this year was our first playoff victory and I'm more referring to the fact that we're past the first round. We weren't lucky enough last year to make our first run 3 deep like in '07. Just would like to see another spoiler.

I know we probably don't have a huge chance but wouldn't be sweet if we could beat La Marque again for our first foray into the playoffs just like we did in football during our first playoff run. I wonder how those boys and coaches would react this time.
