[/quote] You are "right on" with this post and the problem is not just at Kountze. Have you notice that many 3A schools and down cannot field 3 teams anymore.(9th, JV and Varsity) Kountze had very good football teams back in the 70's. [/quote] The biggest reason most smaller schools have problems fielding teams n all the grade levels is pretty simple. Now days you year round baseball, basketball and soccer in the private leagues and the kids are spending more of their time specializing in one sport rather than participating in several. Although I like to watch soccer, I blame that sport the most as they were the ones who seemed to take the game into nearly year round leagues first.

I think Vidor does, you guys always seem to give Central everything they can handle, Vidor is bound to come out on top one of these times.

Can't remember much past yesterday, but believe it or not, I think last Friday's game between Lumberton and Livingston was one of the best played I've seen in a long time. Neither team gave up, and the game stayed exciting right up until the end. There wasn't a tremendous amount of penalties or mistakes by either team and they played a really tight game. I know it was heartbreaking for Livingston to lose, just as it would have been if it were the other way, but those boys really did play a good game.

If you ask me, based on where they are at now, the team with the toughest schedule is Ozen. They are in a must win every time they step on the field just to keep from being blanked.

They even had a fitness requirement, restricting an officials weight to not more than 400 pounds dressed out.
