There sure is a bunch of people making excuses why Lumberton is 3 and zip. Everything from "we are playing without our starter" to "they have not played any good teams"..........At what point is Lumberton going to receive credit for winning games??
Agreed Lumberton is has THREE starters out and a Center whose snapping hand is broken and yet...........  :o ???

 3.
I predict another long night next friday night. The D is very solid. The O is extremely shaky
I predict that between district 19-4a and 20-4a there will be at least 14 teams that will not lose next week.
 4. This should be the game of the week. I think K-ville will take it but it'll only be by a touchdown or less.
 5. that's fer sure.  ;D Congrats.
 6. I'd like to give a shout out to the Silsbee Announcer, he was totally unbiased throughout the whole game. If either team pulled off a good play he acknowledged it, real classy. Thanks.

Still unsure about Central, they have faced some tough teams first two weeks. Looking like Nederland and Vidor are bringing up the bottom. They both could probably beat any team on any given night.
In the immortal words of the king himself.........I'M ALL SHOOK UP UNH HUH. ;D

 9.

The Future of the Newton Eagles looks very promising considering the play of there young talented players,#3 Kevin Shorter, RB  looks very good he is only freshman and with the way he retured kicks vs Kville and his 115 yards rushing yards and 70 yard punt return for a TD vs Corigan Camden.. also #1 Dj dean soph. looks to be a very good rec and backup QB to another young player Trevor Holmes Junior QB 6'3 215 . one other young player Junior Wr Tim Simmons looks as if He is playing with alot of confidence from the experice of starting his soph yr. My assessment of this Team gives me reason to beleive that Newton is in a Rebuilding stage that will lead to many more victories in the next few years, and with New young coaches like Malcolm Isom learning under One of the best Coaches in Texas (Barbay)Newton is Moving in the right directions even if they take a few bumps and bruies in this Season.
Please before you post something on here copy paste to a word document to check you AWFUL spelling. You are making your self look like you didn't finish COLLEGE....
ezz up Zatarra, az lawng az wee can reed it, thas wut cownts.  :D
 10. Dang, there goes our shut out of district 19-4a.
 11. Just great, those Livingston folks are keeping their score a secret.
 12.
Across the street of course, for the Houston Lamar (2-0) @ #3 Brenham (2-0) game. ;D
Wow, talk about great parking.  :D
 13.
ugh I am leaving for Kville around 5 LOL.... hopefully i can get it before i leave so i can post it on Facebook for out of town fans and family to listen too.... hhmmm might have to beat the bushes for Grad hehehe see if i can rustle him up...
Coach, you could post a link to the main forum page with instructions of which link to look for. As in this one: [Hidden Content]
 14. The only way I can see Vidor winning this is to shut down K-Villes running back, I watched the youtube videos of him the other day and he would give any team in the area fits trying to stop him.
 15. If you have a twitter account and have your phone set up you can also receive updates from @SETXSPORTS. Several of us will keep updating our teams to that site.
 16.
I think one thing people may be overlooking is the smaller numbers to search, your chance of finding those talented eleven don't just go by percentage, it exponentiates downward. Conversely the larger the number to search the greater chance of finding them. You may can find eleven to field with talent, but there seems to be an assumption that the players behind those eleven will automatically fall off in talent. The larger the number to search may find an equaling of talent over a greater number to choose from. Therefore a team of third string from a 5A school could possibly beat the snot out of a 2A first team. But this is simple mathematics not real life. And as we all know, there are always exceptions to every rule. :D
True dat. The Lumberton-Silsbee game as far as numbers is concerned is probably the most even since L-Town is the smallest 4a in our district. I personally am curious though what that half student we have looks like and is he/she made up of the top or bottom half? LOL
 17. bathroom........ LOL, sorry I just had to say it.  :D
 18. Ever notice when someone is trying to make a point they say "except for", without "except for" the total is 3-3 and NO I'm not saying 3a can't compete with 4a because like someone said in another thread, there are only 11 out there at a time. Everyone knows that WOS competes year in and year out with higher classifications as do some 4a teams, 2a teams, etc. I just think when someone writes an article they should use ALL the stats and not try to dress it up to make it look pretty. That's like saying 19-4a is competing with 20-4a because Dayton is such a powerful team and yet until the playoffs and IF they get there, guess what....19-4a is getting blown away by 20-4a possibly because no one has Dayton on their schedule, just saying.
 19.
Can't make it to the game - my daughter told me its was more important to see her get married ! I actually tried to get her to change the date to another time not during Bronco season but she declined - ( NO RESPECT !)  GO BRONCO'S ~~~~~
That's kind of RUDE of her to get married during football season, what in the world was she thinking?  :D :D :D :D
 20. Your Ninth grade D-Line is huge too, you guys got some muscle coming up the pipe. I remember at the L-Town scrimmage our O-line looked like 3rd graders in size compared to yours.
 21. Hmmmmmm........It could be HJ over Anahuac. Now don't shoot me, I just picked the 2nd most unlikely one. Gonna stay off the most likely until next week.
 22. This is great, every Friday in Louisiana you can watch High School football, it's about time we got the chance in southeast Texas.
 23.
I think it's one thing for a kid to move because the coach has "recruited" him and another thing if he moves for more playing time at a different school.  If he can't cut it at one school and moves to another, more power to him.  A lot of coaches would use that as a good reason for the kids that stayed to "get after" the other school when they play each other.  That being said, why would a coach want to keep a kid that he knows doesn't want to play for him?
Being recruited or moving just to get more playing time are both terrible reasons for a kid to change schools. If the kid isn't getting enough playing time I see only 4 reasons for that. First of all, it could be (and this would be the most likely IMO) that the kid just isn't that good a player. Secondly, if he's not getting playing time and he's actually good, he probably has a major attitude problem that the coach feels warrants keeping his butt on the sidelines. Third, maybe the kid just can't cut it with the schools curriculum, which means he ought to ask the counselor for some help getting a tutor because moving to a school with easier curriculum is the lazy way out. Finally, and this would be the only reason I could see as justifiable to move, there could be an outside chance that he and the coach just can't figure a way to get along. Unfortunately in life there are rare instances when two personalities just can't resolve their differences but a move would only be justifiable AFTER an attempt to resolve the problem through the schools' administration.
