1. Someone is definitely going to want this position and you can bet it'll be someone with experience. Small school or not, a program with this kind of tradition is going to take someone special to move forward with it.

Week 2 ---- and the challenge to smack without racism is still on. BTW-- I observed a thread almost get hijacked off the topic because of a post about a schools diverse ethnicticity. Several follow up post were defensively taken offensivly if you know what I mean.  Over all, the recovery was ok.  We still have work to do.  Remember---attack the post yet not the poster.  They are just another you with a little different look.  ;)
;D...Brown and yellow people don't have an Al Sharpton(or however you spell it), or the Grand Dragon(you know what I mean the hooded guy)....I guess I can speak for Brown peeps...
What about LULAC or that Chavez guy.  ;) All I have to represent me is AARP..........lol
 3.
You can pass the ball on Nederland. GCM must have dropped 6 or 7 passes and 3 or 4 in open space. Game should have been a lot closer. Keep the defense off of the field. If BH has a gamebreaker at RB, be patient and you may get a big play against them. No penalties or bad snaps and you will stay in this game. GCM has not figured this out yet. Nederland has a good O-Line and will get some yardage but if you stop the run and make them throw in third and long you will be succesfull. QB had problems throwing the ball and has limited varsity exp. I believe Nederland probably had almost 2-1 time of posession against GCM which kept our offense off of the field. Go get your first win...
Agreed. GCM could actually be a great passing team if their receivers would learn to catch the ball, the QB has the arm for it. I remember during our scrimmage with them one receiver constantly trying to catch the ball with one hand, that looks good on highlight reels but ain't worth a darn for the most part.

 5.
My half brother is the D coordinator of Nacogdoches.... i think he needs to try harder =P
Yeah, if he tries harder, who knows, maybe he can become a WHOLE brother.  ;) LOL  :D
 6. LOL, so much for all those pledges not to bring race or ethics into our discussions.  :P
 7. My guess is you missed the cougs stats, I went right to them and they look fairly even overall. Pearland is more of a passing team rushing204/passing426 where Crosby likes the run more rushing393/305passing. If I were to venture a guess, I'd say that Pearland is using more of a spread type offense versus Crosby's running or option type. The defenses both have given up big yards in two games, Pearland 748, Crosby 810. This game is really hard to call, Massey gives Pearland a 5 point edge even playing away. This being a home game though, I think I'll give it to Crosby by less than a touchdown. Most likely though, this game will go to whoever has the ball last.
 8.
The only possible parody in this district is Crosby beating dayton... i still call that parody because we haven't been able to do it consistently. Thaty'll be a good game to watch the rest will be two teams, getting ready for the playoffs, by fine tuning their plays and working on different wrinkles in practice.
Dude, I hate to do this to you but you left yourself wide open.  ;) Are you really sure Crosby and Dayton is a parody? Are you really sure and in which direction? Is it Crosby towards Dayton? okay time to pull the trigger here..............................POW!! Definitions according to Dictionary.com (Using only the definitions that might apply where the number assigned is the order in it's definition.) Parody noun 4. any humorous, satirical, or burlesque imitation of a person, event, etc. 6. a poor or feeble imitation or semblance verb 7. to imitate for purposes of satire. 8. to imitate poorly or feebly, a travesty. So is this what Crosby is to Dayton? Huh?  :o :D ;D ??? :P Sure you didn't mean Parity? noun 1. equality as in amount, status, or character.  ::) Nah, it's gotta be the first one.........lol
 9.
Kind of difficult to simplify or explain-away how you got beat by 31 points. ???
I think district 19-4a is in an OH CR*P, district 20-4a's putting a whippin' to us mode.

Remember when PNG first got through with all their new stadium improvements?  :o ::)
So Central's going to get a new coach and go 10-0 next year?
That wouldn't be good.
 11. Don't look too biased with that score prediction, I say they or gonna Huff and puff and blow the Woods down.  :o ;)
 12.
I don't know about 28, but i believe Hardin wins. The boys showed a lot of guts in Tarkington, never giving up and going 100% till the end. Tarkington was no slouch, they showed an equal amount of spirit and talent and suffered what had to be a heart break of a loss. Tarkington will win some more games this year, they beat a Huntington team that killed Liberty. But, this is also a rivalry game where anything can happen, so good luck to both teams!
From what I've heard about that Tarkington game, if any of you Hardin fans need a nitro pill I'd be willing to sell ya one of mine.  ;) :D

 14. Good thing Evadale isn't playing Euless Trinity, I don't think they make a scoreboard that holds that many points.  ;)

 16.
I think Kville will pull this one out...but a little closer than most think. 48-10  ;D But I believe this is gonna be great for KHS atheletics...maybe we'll spend a few bucks on more bleachers going forward.
Either that or if they plan on scheduling more big school teams for home games they should start considering using neutral sites.

Look at some of the teams from South Texas.
i know what he meant by it. not alot of them play football at MHS. can they play? yeah im sure they can. will they play? no. reason----i cant call it.
Some people.. ???..PAM is a 5A school, don't go feelin sorry for yourselves cause you have other ethnic groups...you got something to say just say it...or don't bring it up...
guess you didnt understand the post like i did.  ;)
explain please, tell me there is another way to understand this from my shoes..
not alot of other races play football, they play other sports though. with football being the dominant sport i understand what he's getting at but were not going 4A anytime soon. were a 5A school period.
That's a stereotype man!  If we follow Pam's logic, Hispanics and Asian's can't play football.  WB's QB is Hispanic.  Therefore, he can't play football.  There's plenty of college coaches that beg to disagree.  Then again, they didn't go to the Pam Philosophy 101  ;D ;D ;D
YUp and remember Ngyuen on A&M and finally Dallas Cowboys, he couldn't play either.  ;)
 18.
A 20-4A all star offense would not put up 14 points on Dayton's defense this year.  I say this because I have not seen any 20-4a teams play in an actual game this year and I am a homer.  I also say this because the broncos are always better than everybody else and our linebacker can bench press 500 pounds. Thought I'd add a little dash of spice to the pot your stirring oct-feb.
LOL, a 20-4a offense wouldn't stop at 14 is more like it and good thing that linebacker can bench press 500 lbs. since he'd be spending most of the game on his back. OH YEAH I WENT THERE. LOL  :o ::) ;D :D

 21. I'd say they ran up the score except that the announcer mentioned they were subbing in guys who normally don't get to play.

 23.
B
Hey ryker, I have some numbers for ya... State Championships: 20-4a  -4 19-4a  - 0
Hasn't Dayton been in that district during the time you include here. Most of the teams in 19-4a have only been together a few years. BH was 3a, GCM new school, Lee 5a, North forest was combined with another school and was 5a not to many years ago, Dayton has been in both. GP has been there a while. Not a really good comparison although I wish all schools had the same enthusiasm as most in the g-triangle. Baytown has been split up into 3 schools and GCM being new has no tradition. Lee has much tradition but dwindling numbers and Sterling has athletes but cam never put anything together. GCM took many of these. You guys love your football win or lose but not all areas can say this. Dayton has the small town that supports their team now that they have had a program worth supporting. I only wish Stewart had been given the Sterling years ago. They have been the same since he was Def. Coordinator there.
It's just a good thing for 19-4a that Lumberton is not in your district. The last time we beat Dayton, while in the same district, they got so mad they TORE through the rest of our district.  :D
 24.
Lumberton 4a  vs.  Silsbee 3a ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) If Lumberton does not win by 3 or more touchdowns it would be a tragedy for Lumberton
First Tiger05, look at WOS's score last week, 3a vs. 4a really isn't that much different especially in this case where L-Town is a smaller 4a school. This game will be about desire not number of students, I believe Lumberton will win but I don't know that it will be by 3 TD's and any win would not be a tragedy as Silsbee is considered to be a good team. We won last year and ran JJ all over the field, yet we didn't make the playoffs, you guys lost and then turned around and won district, which proves in a rivalry game you can't count anyone out.
 25. If you are getting twitters, I will be updating Lumberton games on a score by score basis as long as I make the games, which I think I'll be at all of them this year. The format I'm using is Time on clock/quarter L=Lumberton-#, Opponents Initial-# that keeps it short and sweet.
