Man I witness WB take Central to the Woodshed and Lay the smackdown on their candies and cookies.Central looked like a beaten team from the start. the Jags didnt look very enthused to be out there. Its time to find an identity too; Are you a running team or a spread Passing team. Running the ball from under center would benefit the Jags alot more. 3P's Piss poor Performance; They are just that bad IMO.
Big D, I was saying this all night with my Jag fans. The part about the identity. Congrads to Brook for putting the smackdown to us. You did everything you were supposed to do to an inferior team.... Put us away.  Your speed and skill guys were always put in the perfect spots to make big plays.Brook's defens was also pretty good, with several big hits.  Talked to one of the starting D-Linemen from Brook.  Told me Our O-Line was playing dirty by high lowing their D-Linemen.  I told him it made no difference, because yall were in our backfield all night long... Which brings mee to another point...  We can't Block, or even act like we want to block.  It's hard for our best offensive weapon to get anything going when he have to break like 4 tackles just to get out the backfield.   (82, on the TD run by Central, that was no busted play.  Heard had to break like 4 tackles for that TD... Still no blocking by the O-Line).  Also, thanks to Brook, we discovered that we can't cover the pass either. The Backup QB came in on his first play and threw a TD strike... Jags, Scrape that shotgun and go primarily under center...  The ball was moving...  Got consecutive First downs...  Then you go away from it.  I received several text messages from Brook fans..  Saying that Central was playing a really good 5a team (state ranked).  I was like, that's good and dandy, and Memorial was good as well, but I expect to see improvement from week to week, and I saw non...  Same crap from last week...Go away from plays that work..Can't tackle..  Can't block...  Special teams suck...Playbook sucks...  No sense of urgeny from our players (or coaches)...  I can go on.  And it just seems when I look around, this type of stuff is completely fine... Making excuses for this.  Ummm, did you read my signature?  Same thing goes for my own team.  Anyways, I'm off my soap box now... (its sad, but I'm to the point to where I'm not even that enthused to see us next week...)
Soulja, I realize this was the Beaumont Bowl and everything that goes with it, but isn't now in pre-season the time to work on those plays and try an perfect them before the regular season starts? I would think that was really what the Central coaches are trying to accomplish, chances are, the worst plays will be scrapped or put on the back burner at  least come district time. That's when the games really count. Central has always been known for their running, the coaches probably would like to have another facet to their offense, especially if the linemen aren't as big or fast as past linemen, something to open up the defense.
 2.
blew an amp and the old men doing the scoreboard were refusing to do anything but time and score
LOL, that's twice as much as they had to do before. It DOES sound and look good when it works.
 3. Good job, now you've studied, get ready to be tested.  ;) Nah for real, congratulations.
 4. Just wondering if this game was archived on film somewhere? Sounds like a good one to watch.
 5. Something tells me this will be an L of a year, although one of us will end up in 4th. Extra Tidbit, according to Thsfpedia's records, last week's 56 points against Jasper was the most Lumberton has ever scored in a game, they scored 55 twice before.
 6.

Angletons wins a hard hitting tough football game. Great game from the very beginning Ryan Jackson had a big game with 2 rushing td's and Quandre Diggs had 2 rushing td's also including the game winning td with 51 secs left. The bucs missed a tying fg as time expired. Diggs had a td pass called back tdue to a penalty. The coaches made great adjustments throughout the whole game.
Cool  So what was the score??
LOL, look at the topic on your post.
 7. I bet most of Friendswood is breathing a collective sigh of relief after this little old 3a team like to put it on them.
 8. Wow, I figured this to be a very close game.

Neither Central or Ozen was ever able to drive the field and score, so I dont take much into the fact that they scored on us. BTW, our starters were pulled in the third, and the backups scored twice. I dont know if WB is that good, or if Central was......not so good. Either way, its a win, and the trophy stays at the Brook. The WB/PAM game should be a great one!!!!
So where did Ozen's score come from last week, I don't remember?
 11.
left the game at half. barbers hill had size.lumberton o-line coudn"t do much for the run game. b.hill secondary giving up big plays
Rushing should be over 100 yards for L-Town.
 12. Wish I had that kind of skill, I'll bet that's fun.
 13. AAAW Geez, Scooter, bad news, I just heard that all Friday night football in the Austin Area was cancelled until October.

 15. I just like the idea of seeing the score for the whole game, I wonder if it goes up higher than 56 points?  ;D

 17. Amen to that, although I'd like the team history stats to be pinned back to the top or at least point me in the right direction.  ;D
 18. 3 or 4 from each team huh? Let's see, that'd be 1. Lumberton coaching staff 2. the offense 3. the defense 4. special teams with 2, 3 and 4 being in no certain order.  ;)
The way you guys are picking on the Baytown girls reminds me of an old saying here in the Golden Triangle. It goes something like this: What do you get when you have 32 (City name left out but it's located between Beaumont and Orange) girls in the same room?          Answer: A FULL SET OF TEETH!!    :o ::) ;D
 22. Makes ya wonder which players are wearing pink jock straps.
 23.

Man...it seems like this has gotten blown out of proportion a little. I don't think Raideroldtimer was trying to "kill" a kids self-esteem with his comments. I wasn't there at the game so I'll give you that. But I do always respect a coach who comes down on a player who displays anything resembling unsportsmanlike conduct. Again, wasn't there so I don't know what happened. I'm just speaking generically. I will say this though; If my son ever crosses a line, I hope the coach calls him on it. And, if others talk about the mistake my son makes, I hope he learns from that experience/gossip that when he behaves irresponsibly, even in the heat of the moment, there are consequences. As for feeling HORRIBLE; we should feel horrible when we do the wrong thing, be it on the football field or in the workplace, etc. Obviously, we don't need to be reminded of it every day once we accept responsibility and move forward but the initial "horrible feeling" and the criticism is what helps us to not do that same thing again. Life is full of ups and downs and many times we ourselves are responsible for the downs. And, criticism, even if it borders on gossip/opinion, serves to get us back on the correct path. It's called responsibility and it's one of the most important things a CHILD can take from his/her time on the athletic field. That same responsibility that this CHILD has apparently run afoul of during one moment of weakness will now make him a better person later in life (better employee, better man) simply because others, like Raideroldtimer, called him on it and, by doing so, made him accountable for his actions. I'll say it one more time...I wasn't there but apparently the CHILD in question has accepted responsibility for whatever action he took by apologizing to his teammates (and he must have done something or he wouldn't have apologized) so that alone shows he learned something and has probably earned the respect of his coach and players. So, drive on #40, whoever you are, and develop a thick enough skin to not be "destroyed" by criticism but not so thick that you can't learn from it. God bless!
I agree with you fully, and one day when I have children I will have the same outlook. But at 16 years old children have a lot to learn and some don't mature as fast as other, i'm sure as you know. The only thing that bothers me is joking or not from Raideroldtimer, the child was picked on about it...no one knows a child's story and what they go through everyday inside and even outside of school, therefore, NOTHING should be said on here unless it is positive about a player and that goes for ANY team. These kids get on here and read what adults post about them. As far as being blown out of proportion...that is just an opinion. People take things in different ways...me, I don't agree with this website unless it is all POSITIVE about a player. The child takes criticism very well, but leave it for the coaches who are with them through all the blood, sweat, and tears everyday throughout the season.
I'm with ya!
I'm just wondering why I'm being called out on this, I wasn't the first one to mention this young mans' number and frankly my original comment centered on the Jasper coaches need to talk to THEIR guy, you know, the one that actually hurt one of our players.
 24. LMAO, would someone help me find my contacts, I cried them out on this one.  :D
