1. I think we've beat this dead dog enough, it's time to move on to smacking The Hole around for the next week.  ;)
 2. I knew L-Town would make the playoffs........LOL
 3. I'm going to predict that the team on the west side of the Trinity will win this one by 14.  ::)
 4. Okay guys, I know the perfect name for this complex, I bet all of you will agree with this one, how about the: MAN WE ARE SO FRIGGIN' GLAD THIS ATHLETIC COMPLEX IS NOT FORD PARK EVEN IF IT IS CALLED AN EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT CENTER STADIUM ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
 5. I wonder how many area 20-4a coaches are making their plans on stopping PNG based on what they saw from this game? Plug the middle and keep Jalai (is that right?) bottled up and you can pull off a win/come back. It was a good game though, PNG did a good job but GP's crafty old coach showed how years what years of experience gets you. I'm wondering what the PNG kickers' range is though, I was listening on the radio by the end of the game but unless I had it backwards you guys were at 4th down on their 21 right? If that's the case the kick would have been around the 35-36 yard range.
 6. Uh, shouldn't you guys start a new thread here?
 7.
Raideroldertimer- you have questions the coaches a few times mainly on Hughes playing QB. I might have over reacted but I hate when people disrespect coaches who spend 7 days a week working for a team/town. These guys dont deserve to be questioned after what they did for Lumberton. This is a place that expects to be in the playoffs every year after 48 years of nothing yet we hear about speculation from people who cut lawns for a living.
Well first of all, yes I did say they OUGHT to move Hughes over to running back, not for lack of respect, but because as I said before he would be a marquee back, he is that good at running the ball. My guess is you're probably his dad, because I understand from others that his dad is pretty adamant that he play QB, I will say this though, after seeing the play where he hands the ball off to the running back then leads him through the line as a blocker, I can understand why the coach has him at QB. Nothing against Purks, he's a good kid, but Hughes does a much better job on that particular play, in my opinion it tips the scales on the QB selection. I'm just glad we actually have two QB's capable of starting for most any team in the area. As far as cutting lawns for a living, those that I know do that make pretty good money at it, as for me, I cut my own lawn and that's it. By suggesting he ought, I don't feel I'm questioning the coach at all, it is purely speculation, something that is done in this forum quite often. This forum is for people to smack talk, to express their opinions and frankly just to have fun talking to people with like interest. Plus, if you were to ever just stand near where my friends and I watch the game, you would hear ME, that's right me, defending the coaches decisions to my friends when they go off because of a blown play. Relax, Ryan will get a scholarship as a QB and maybe with luck we can see him leading the Texans to their first ever Superbowl and that will be irregardless of my opinion on his running back abilities or YOUR opinion that I'm trying to coach the team.
 8.
no need to comment on the game, the scoreboard literally tells all. I havent missed a game in quite a while, the boys looked as good as any team we have put on the field. spoke with a few after the game and they said it really isnt a very good measuring stick of what we will face in district, so dont read too much into it. As for the injury to JRich, its an absolute shame, its very similiar to what happened to AB last year. It was very far behind the play, and afterwards no class was shown by Jasper, they have lost a ton of respect from this town....James may not play again and theres nothing an 17 yr old kid in hs can do to deserve having his season ended in such a way. It's bs if u ask me. And i believe from the stare their side got from Credeur from almost midfield, he feels the same...Asher was a bruiser last night, and our D was head hunting. 56 points is no fluke, hope to see them again and crack skulls again. Vidor is off the hook lol, we now hate u jasper.....
Well, Bojangles you are partially right, the scoreboard did finally tell all, but for awhile there it stopped telling anything.  :P Be glad when we get our new board.
 9. Is it true you can tell the size of a teams **** (you know whats) by the size of it's band?  :o ::) ;D

I promise you that coaching staff knows better than you on how to coach that team
Lumberton definitely was well coached and won the coaching battle. That is a large part of why the score was like it was.
I second this. I'm a little embarrassed by some of the comments. We lost a preseason game to a good 4a program. Let's see if we can learn from defeat and improve next week.
WTB, I don't know why you even made this comment, I have never once even hinted that I know more about coaching the team, and that would be now AND before with all the past coaches. I never have been a coach (in football), never will be a coach, don't DESIRE to be a coach, I love watching the game and like anyone else I will occasionally speculate but for the most part I'm happy just to spectate. I have nothing but the utmost and absolute respect for what Coach Creduer is doing with Lumbertons' football program.
 11. Wow, that PNG D is swarming the ball and it don't look like the Wildcats can stop PNG's offense either.
 12. Just sitting here watching Remember The Titans waiting for the game to start...I'm in a football frame of mind.  :D
 13.

Lumberton wins!! They looked great against Jasper.
In all fairness Jasper had 23 freshmen starting  ;D
No worse than the 24 8th graders Lumberton started.  ;D
 14.
Woo did not mean to ruffel the hawk feathers just ask how a team that gives up 63 points and scores 0 could have anyone that can play D1 ball. Just thought dad might have pulled a few strings after all he went there ;). But I am glad to see Lamar trying to get a few homegrown players to stay at home. And I will be sure to let you know were he will play college at but you will have to wate untill we get on the hard floor. Its a long time untill then and I dont wont to jenks him and get him hurt. You know that a college will jerk a offer so fast if a kid gets hurt when he is still in high school. Just thought that having it out when he was still a Jr was a little premature, but wish him the best of luck.
Actually it's not that hard, Lumberton used to be everyone's doormat and yet we've had several players go to D1 schools, including a player who holds the record for one of the longest field goal kicks in Texas A & M history.

They should be eye popping.
I don't have "official" stats..I got caught up in game several times..but Vidor had around 300 yards of total offence..Clark was leading rusher by far. didn't keep stats for Tx high.Clark 3 td's. Bolinger 2 td's. and the one that got fumbled into endzone I dont know who recovered it. 16.
after week zero who would have ever thought the only wins fromt he two districts would come from lcm lumber and north shore??   excluding png of course
I haven't been tooting L-Towns horn myself just because I'm a huge fan. We're a different team from last year in spite of a lot of the same players just think back and try to remember Lumberton scoring 56 points on anyone, I don't remember it ever happening or if it did it hasn't been often.
 17.

Anyone else starting to slowly get tired of the spread? I mean yes it can get big plays but I liked it when we pounded it out and play action passes. This offense isn't impressing me.
I think the spread is effective if you are able to "recruit" the type of players necessary to run it correctly. However, this is HIGH SCHOOL and coaches need to be more willing to "dance with the one that brung 'em".  All too often they get caught up in fads and what the "successful" programs are doing. It's quite possible that a high school could change it's offensive (and defensive) scheme yearly based on the kids they have in their program. (IMO)
Dang GCM, did you live in Lumberton when Fuller was coaching? LOL I AM surprised at the 47 yards passing from Nederland since they have depended on it so much over the last few years.
 18.
Why could you not brought some of that humor on this post? Yea BH will be fine and pullllllllllllllease beat Lumberton bc cant handle more of the gigerish. Help out Stranger bc kid has some road rage issues and hate to see him go off.
In this famous line from Family Guy............GIGETY GIGETY GIG.  ::) ;D
 19. GCM, unfortunately has a looooong season ahead of them. Nederland 21 - GCM 10
 20. If your favorite mascot is an Eagle.....badly, very badly. L-Town wins 35 - 10
 21. This one could be a blow out by Bridge City if Vidors' defense doesn't perform, but after last night hard to tell. BC has the capability to score big but defenses win games, I guess I'll go Vidor 17 - 14 (Vidor does have a kicker right?).
 22. I was just wondering, did anyone pay attention to how many of our scores last night came from inside the red zone and not long plays, that was one of our biggest problems last year. On Ipreps it looks to me like it was 4.
