And, I do take in a lot of games and I listen to everyone around me gripe about the whistle. It goes off at every first down, every time more than a few yards is gained and it's gotten annoying to a lot of "fans". If it were only on TD's, "BIG" plays, etc. I would welcome this "tradition" but if it's over-used it negates it's whole purpose!! Not only is the man a legend, he was a Head Coach when I was in school over 30 years ago. If anyone has earned retirement it's Coach Barbay.

How can this man own his own business, he has no common sense. The situation was simple to cover up, put the house on the market for like 100 million, that way no one will buy it and just stay in long term hotels for work purposes. This is typical of some of the higher powered schools though, cheating for their own gain. I remember hearing about a D1 prospect from New Orleans coming to Lumberton during Katrina and yet he ended up playing for another unnamed school. (Unnamed in case I'm actually wrong, you know how you hear things and it was in another classification.)

Lumberton's D is gonna be pretty fierce this year IMO.

I think LCM will take this one, especially if the GCM coach hasn't taught that one showboat receiver how to raise that other hand up for the ball also, he'd have made more catches last Friday if he used two hands..

All in all pretty good for a scrimmage, if GCM wants to succeed they have to stop shooting themselves in the foot. I noticed one their receivers almost every time trying to one hand the ball when it was thrown to him, he caught one like that. If I were their coach I would be all over his rear Monday making sure he used two hands. Lumberton's secondary was all over their receivers which looked great, first few plays they laid back but after that they were in GCM's faces, good job boys. Our D should be one of the top in the district this year and O should be able to hold it's own although we have to watch the penalties.

Ltown up 17 to 7 @ 5 minutes left in 3rd. Someone on GCM side drew a penalty putting Ltown on 5 yard line with 1st down. Gotta love game situation scrimmages.
