Just FYI. COVID blew up over on Thursday. Lots of staff and kids getting tested and testing positive. This was out of our hands. Jasper County Coronavirus Numbers as of Thu, Sep 2nd, 2021: Active cases – 339 Thu morning/390 Thu afternoon (Was 305 on 09/01/21) Deaths – 109 (Was 106 on 09/01/21) that’s a big jump in numbers in 24hours and a lot of those positive cases are in the schools for a small town like us these numbers required for us to do something Believe me everyone here wanted to play this game!

Forgot Princess was a senior. Def one to watch!

Last couple years we have played up north of us more and less and less of the Beaumont Area teams because of this horrible district alignment. (3 Schools 2 hours or more away) Therefore I have not kept up with the players in this area as much.. The HJ kids are obviously players to watch again. The soph. Monica Bottley at Silsbee was really impressive last year - so she would be on my list for sure. In our district - Palestine has a Junior - Aylasia Fantroy that is very good (17 4A MVP last year), Carthage has a Junior - Jakyra Roberts that is solid also We have senior Jakayla Brown who has started since she was a freshmen - missed several games last year in district but will be one of the top players in our area for sure. Getting close to getting started!!

Not sure on our whole district but Jasper Offensive MVP - Shabralyn Watson - Senior New Comer - TyTiauna McQueen - Sophomore First Team - Aaliyah Robinson -also All Region - Senior Second Team - ShaNiyah McBride - Senior Second Team - TyErica McQueen - Sophomore Interesting - two years in a row District Champions or Co-Champions with out getting a vote for a kid to be MVP of the district. Sure like the way 22 4A understood how that stuff should go.

We overcame COVID, hurricanes, and ice storms this year but came up short tonight against Waco Robinson. 58-50. Proud of these seniors and what they accomplished this year - Co-District Camps and a 17-6 record.

Thanks! Been a long wait. No idea how it will effect us. But we play hard tomorrow.

Saturday 4:00 in Crockett

Looking like we might play Friday afternoon.

We are scheduled to play everyday Monday - Thursday at 6:00 in Crockett. Will make a call each day around noon as to if both schools feel they can get there safely. we are putting snow chains on the bus tires tomorrow!!

How can we compare listenership if girls games havnt been done? Do sponsors say that won’t advertise during girls games? They only want to advertise during boys games? interesting topic

Been some really good games and players during that span. What a shame.
