Slave-driven society??? Are you aware that every single culture in the world, at some point in history were subjected to slavery? 30% of all Native African slaves were brought to the United states... 85% were sold by African tribal leaders of opposing tribes...Black freedmen owned 13% of these slaves in 1830... So, where to now? Why are blacks the only race that feel victimized in the modern era? Why do people feel they can't be accountable for their position in life? I however, need to run so I can go cash in on my white privilege for 12 hrs tomorrow.

PAMFAN10, We might have different political opinions but I think that's what makes this country great. You state your opinion and you allow others to state theirs...and that's what this forum should be about. Let's face it, we're all grown...and nothing we hear on this forum is going to convert anyone. No matter what color we are, we're all Americans. I dont think using this place to post nonsensense and half-stories just to anger people for entertainment is doing anybody any good. I may disagree on some things with you but I will always be respectful when it is reciprocated, as you have shown...and I know most folks will agree with that

Since he lost his starting job (pre-wokeness) to Blaine Gabbert and knew his contract wouldn't be renewed...Its fortunate that Nike stepped in with the those huge checks. The problem is, if you are truly fighting for the "oppressed" why cash in on all that child-labor sweat shop money from Nike? Uh oh... Good thing his they haven't built his statue yet.

But it's absolutely essential if you "identify" as an individual who wants to destroy America to be at the "Forget the Fourth" demonstration, screaming and shouting, shoulder to shoulder in an angry mob...please do, Comrade Newsome approves. That type of patriotism is ok, if you disagree with the Marxist ideology then you need to do the right thing and stay home in your mask. Who actually believes this nonsense?

Is this true? End of an Era at WO-S
RedJollyRoger replied to Baba Ganoush32's topic in High School Football
In all fairness, I don't believe that most people commenting on this post (who don't have direct ties to WO-S) are concerned about it changing the way the Defense plays....WO-S has a great football program, no doubt about it. I think "joe public" is more concerned with where the "we'll decide for you what is offensive, political, oppressive, etc" will end. I believe the young men who work their tails off should decide on what they call themselves, regardless of what some may conceive as "Woke". They should decide if they feel they're supporting "systemic" racism or encouraging oppression by claiming their Chain Gang defense title. Was that considered? Was a vote held? THAT is what people have a problem with....why the they decide for themselves? -
ECBucFan, Congratulations.... What a thoughtful and very well structured comment.

In my own humble opinion, if a parent is not comfortable allowing their child to participate in sports, then they shouldn't allow it...same for attending school, make other arrangements. The idea of a "one size fits all" solution can't be the answer. People of all ages accept some level of risk in their everyday lives. Educate yourself on the risks and mitigations and proceed accordingly. The politicization of this virus is repulsive. If you aren't comfortable allowing your child on the field, then dont allow it...you're the parent. You make the decision to keep them safe, whatever that looks like to you. The most important aspect is that you should have the freedom to choose. Go Pirates!

Schools canceling athletic events
RedJollyRoger replied to AggiesAreWe's topic in High School Baseball
As I understand it, if the school district remains open, the kids are allowed to practice...Since district play is out, could schools still schedule non-district games and let these boys play ball during this time? -

40 - 35 Pirates up at the Half. -
Don't feel like y'all were the only ones....We played in HD tonight...Fouls were 11-2 for the Home team in the 2nd Half, 2 of ours got T'd, then the AD told the visiting team to "tone it down"...geez, all anyone wanted was a fair called game. Not making excuses but Basketball officials in our division are LTA. I understand fans will complain but you can't punish the team, Is that just me? I realize they have a tough job and I appreciate them showing up but if it's a foul on one end, it should be a foul on the other....🤷♂️
