1. I wasn't talking about feinting, I am saying you can not swing around and run after the runner who broke early without disengaging from the rubber first.
2. What I usually see in this is a pitcher not directly throw to second if a runner breaks early. Almost everytime he runs at the runner or looks at him then throws. If he does not throw to second in one continuous motion it is a balk. He can not spin and run without disengaging from rubber then throw.
3. a pick off move is different than a runner stealing and the pitcher making a play on him. That is what I have been trying to say all along it is two different situations
4. Turning and throwing on a pick off move is one thing. What usually happens is when the runner breaks, the pitcher steps off the back and maybe runs at him. If you just spin off of the rubber and run it is a balk because you did not clearly step off the back and disengage the rubber.
5. The pitcher would have to step of the back in that case. If he just spins around on the rubber it is a balk which is different from a straight pickoff throw to second.
6. I have never seen a specific rule. If I am behind the plate I may not let the conference go as long as I regularly would. There is also a rule, not quite sure of the number but maybe 10-6 that says an umpire has the right to rule on anything not specifically noted in the rule book.
7. If he has control of the ball when he touches first it is an out.
8. Pinch Runner is different than a courtesy runner for the pitcher and catcher only. Anyone can be pinch run for as long as it does violate the reentry rule.
9. I agree that an umpire should make the call in one form or another. I always do. We do our best to train new officials. I can not answer for the actions of others.
10. An infield fly that is clearly in the infield is called for the protection of the runner. No verbal called is required. Coaches and runners should know the situation.
11. skip skip skip, that is exactly what a scrimmage is for to find what needs to be worked on.  Take a chill pill , drink a 12 pack and if the Stangs are like 0-4 or 1-3 after pre district then i would have some concern. For all the missed tackles I saw a new one wearing a white hat that is a beast.
12. You know I am a rules guy so I like it!!!!!!
13. just got a paper cut and I bled Green and Gold!!!!!! I been too quiet lately
14. Turn at games people play, drive through the driving range ( thats why it's called a driving range ) and the field is just beyond the trees.
15. What I want to see is how Aggie deals with all that burnt orange he will be seeing at Disch-Faulk, he could be twitching for days!!!!! :D
16. All i know is the players were contacted and I have never seen anyone post rosters before but they may.
17. Sweet  love it when our locals advance in the playoffs
18. The batter can stand in his regular stance and it is the catcher that has to throw around, thats if the batter doesn't move. intentional or not the batter can not move into the path of the throw. One of the things about baseball rules, in most cases the umpire does not have to be a mind reader and determine intent.
19. That would be correct if the ball went into dead ball territory.
20. As long as it is in the normal play , there is nothing. If the batter swings normal you can not penalize him. A batter does not have to get out of the way of the catcher, they just can not move to get in the way. This one is hard to explain without some sort of visual example.
21. If the first base ump goes out, then each ump at 2nd and 3rd have the tag ups at their base, plate ump would have the tag up at first
22. with bases loaded the 2nd base ump would be inside so fly ball catch no catch would be the first base umpire to go out on a right field side fly ball
23.
You need to get those eyes checked.  ;) ;D The correct answer was C but the number was 16,789. ;D
They almost doubled the average attendance of the Astros!
Cannot wait for tonight's game. Attendance should be even better than last night. Tonight is Dennis Sedtal Bobblehead Night!! ;D
Most common phrase for tonight would be...Look at the head on that thing!!!!
