Stats can be more than yards gained or given up. How many times a team throws on certain downs or run to the wide side of the field or their bench. Kicking and punting stats can matter.

couple of things, you cant coach your kids to play as hard as they can then tell them not to. Subs have to play hard if they want to have the chance to be a starter. Other thing is I have seen games where the team that is behind starts taking cheap shots at the team ahead. Hitting out of bounds, chop blocks at their knees, and doing anything they can to hurt players. If you play dirty when you get behind be prepared to have it run up on you.

For this topic, Silsbee is Div 1 and WOS will be #1 in Div 2,  BC and OField battle it out for #2 in Div 2. That week ten matchup Silsbee vs WOS will mean nothing to the playoff brackets. Only bragging rights and momentum going into the playoffs.

Central has to stop more than Sezar, they have to stop Jones and Viator too. Central return teams give up way to many yards letting the opps have short fields. Central has not had much of a running game so if they can hit some big pass plays they have a chance. Mitchell had to have a big game passing and running for Central to win. O line has to give him some time to throw. I think this will be close so up to who can make the big plays in the 4th qtr.

Yes but it also may make for some better tournys and better fields. Now for an umpire like myself it may mean less games. Will just have to see how teams fill those single games on Fridays and Saturdays. Could see some imaginative scheduling.
