Noise makers of this kind are banned by UIL rules. Now blowing when someone scores is ok, blowing while play is going on is not. I would have had the head coach complain to the officials and then if they did not stop it, I would put in a formal complaint to the UIL.

What The Ref has stated is all true and not a rumor. The supers will be all for this because they have been complaining about what they pay for officials now. I know we have some baseball umpires that will quit when this takes place and it is not going to be pretty. I have no idea what the UIL will do for training, but I think it is going to be a very bad situation for some sports. Sub Varsity ball is going to suffer because of lack of officials. Playoffs, it's gonna be the buddy's of the UIL and not who is qualified.

Everytime I read a thread like this, everyone keeps saying after Silsbee it will be a cakewalk for WOS. If Orangefield keeps improving each week, the last game of the year could get very interesting. I just think OF is not getting any respect and maybe they love being under the radar. I have not seen OF play but their stats look good and the one thing is their confidence level has got to be growing every week and that is huge in HS athletics.

Find another site and play the game on Friday night as scheduled: a) Option to go to visiting school, if mutually agreeable; Option to find a neutral field. 2. Play Saturday at original site, visiting site, or neutral field: a) Mutual agreement or district executive committee action. 3. If conditions which do not permit any of the above persist: The district executive committee may reschedule district games for Monday night. Then the game scheduled for the following Friday must be rescheduled for Saturday, to meet the five-day interval requirement of the Football Plan of the Constitution and Contest Rules. 4. Note: It may be necessary to have the district executive committee reschedule a number of games. 5. For non-district games - agreement between two schools involved.

A District game will be played out. May have to come back the next day but it will be finished. The only time you see a game called and not finished is a pre district game.

UIL rules state that contest can only be played on one school night a week thats why everyone plays mostly Tuesdays and Fridays because Friday is not a school night. Seems kike the main problem here is that the game is a long way off instead of here in the triangle area where you can still get to the game quickly

I would think it may have to do with who was at bat. One thing that I always hear from the announcers is that the visitors should play for the tie while the home team plays for the win. Twins at Tigers I think that is why they bunted.
